I really cannot recommend anyone lease from Mandy Management. We arrived at my apartment and there were eggs covering the walls and the floor. The apartment had sat like that for over a month. Luckily, I did not have to move in on that day and we waited 2 days for a cleaning crew to do an okay job. On one wall, the cleaning crew painted over the eggs and on the other, they only kind of cleaned it. We had to clean the wall and floors ourselves. Additionally, the carpets smelled terrible and we had to force them to replace them. Their handling of their tenants and treatment of us as neighboring property owners has been nothing short of appalling. For YEARS, their tenant has been destroying portions of our property, and despite being made fully aware of the situation, Mandy Management has failed to take any meaningful action to stop the damage, only to ignore us throughout ALL THESE YEARS even law enforcement. Instead of addressing the destructive behavior, they have turned a blind eye, excused the tenant's conduct, and allowed the situation to escalate. The tenant informed the police Mandy Management advised them to cut down all our trees. The situation has become even more distressing because their tenant frequently yells and screams at us in the mornings -- right in front of me and my disabled children. This is harassment, plain and simple, breach of peace as the police stated. It has created a hostile and unsafe environment for my family, which no one should have to endure in their own home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mandy Management has done the opposite: they ignore legitimate concerns, enable their tenant's destructive actions, and allow them to lash out at their surrounding neighbors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their negligence and hostility have caused unnecessary stress, financial loss, and damage that could have easily been prevented with even the most basic level of professionalism and accountability. We were told by Agent Jonah, that credit would not be the deciding factor, but that was not true and ultimately turned out to be the reason for the denial. If I could give zero stars, I would. My boyfriend and I toured two Mandy Management properties and WERE interested in a lot more. We went for our first tour with Yoseff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To begin, he was 10 minutes late and didn't even apologize for being late upon arrival.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We introduced ourselves and he introduced himself, and that was the last we really spoke.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went to tour one unit and we opened the door to a different number. We brought it up and he said "it's all the same.". [[HIGHLIGHT]]The entire tour he just stood in the corner on his phone. He didn't say anything even with us trying to make conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We gave ourselves the tour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Any questions we asked he would be on his phone and say "sorry, what?." like he didn't want us to ask anything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At the end of the first tour, we mentioned that we had another tour for another property owned by Mandy Management. He insisted that he just take us right now.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We agreed and thought maybe this tour will be better. This unit was only 5 minutes away. We arrive and are trying to find parking (there is no parking for any of their units) and he's texting us saying "I'm at 61 Truman street." like we didn't literally follow him there and as if he wasn't 10 minutes late to the first tour. (he literally got there 60 seconds before we parked.). We go up for the tour, and again, he opens the wrong unit number. I asked for a tour for number 61 and he opened 64. I asked about it again and again he said "it's the same thing". [[HIGHLIGHT]]Doesn't say another word the whole tour and in fact seems annoyed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We go in, the wood floor is literally smushy and there's bubbles in the wall from water damage. I asked if they would fix that before I signed anything and he said I would have to move in first and then put in a maintenance request. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Any questions I asked he would say "yeah I don't really know."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]... [[HIGHLIGHT]]Both tours lasted about three minutes each with zero conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So after the two horrible tours, (so awkward!) this morning, I guess he didn't tell the woman who we were SUPPOSED to tour with that we toured with him, she texted us. I let her know that we already toured the place with yoseff and unfortunately it didn't go very well. Not that the properties were bad, but that the tour didn't go well. and the image attached was her response. I will NEVER rent from Mandy Management. I recently moved into a one-bedroom apartment at 340 Orange Street, which is managed by Mandymanagement. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a German cockroach infestation. Today, I found a dead mouse in a sticky trap and observed a second mouse moving quickly. Well this is another not good experience having with this housing dealing with Mandy management and Columbus house and I guess the city of Hamden, CT. Finding out that the city did an inspection on the apartment building I was living in that they had more units than they where suppose to have. So they did give us a check but they think that was okay. Not realizing or really not caring but taking stability and safety from from me and my spouse. I didn't have a i.d. so we had to spend the night in a warming shelter. So thanks to the City, Mandy management and Columbus house we are back for now out in the streets with physical and mental disabilities. But I know God is with us through all of this. Make sure to have an inspector to check the apartment or house with you!! This company does not care if the apartment is falling apart. All they want is the rent to be paid on time. I have heard that they will take you to court if you are one day late on the rent. I pay on time, but getting to a point where I do not want to pay at all, since they do not want to fix the water issue and the mold issue. They think spraying mold control is solving the issue. It does when there is a thunderstorm and everyday you are smelling mold. read more

This is now the second snow storm this season and both times our driveway has been left unplowed until myself and all of the neighbors blew up the office managers line to have it taken care of 2 DAYS LATER. I missed very important appointments due to being snowed into the driveway, waiting on them to take responsibility for their part of the lease contract "landlord responsible for snow removal". These truly are slumlords who could care less about the tenants or the properties; all they care about is your rent check. Nothing gets done until we threaten to not pay rent. I called to question why my rent was going up every year and the response was do to property taxes and some other stuff that the building manager has no control of. Meanwhile....I'm apartment utilities keep leaking into the neighbor's 2nd floor apartment...nobody comes to maintain the property during snow days..so I end up getting snowed in a very large parking driveway and missing work...and did I mention I live in the Hill. Not a very good environment, but property taxes are going up?....I'm confused. The building is also falling apart. How about put some work I to the apartment and building and then I can understand why you are going up. I dont even have grass in the backyard!!! read more

Critical: Professionalism I give 2 stars only because the agent, Levi was very nice. But I never was told about the "first come first serve". And on top of that was told by Seth, the Management company rep, it was ok to give deposit two days later (because my hours for work at the current time don't work with theirs). Now my dryer just went the other day, now me and my wife and 4 kids been here 4 years before Mandy bought it when me and my wife and 4 kids moved here 4 years ago everything was here meaning applainces, I got a call telling me that is not there's nothing they can do... When it was here even before me an my wife and kids moved here 4 years ago.... But replaced a Refrigerator that wasn't there's a stove that wasn't there's now the dryer went the other that was here when my family and I moved here and Mandy bought the place a little over year ago... Many work orders that still waiting for but the rent keeps going up.... They do not fix anything even if appliances been in the apartment before anyone moves like me and my family crazy read more

When things break or aren't working so well in the apartment the communication is A+ and they get someone over as soon as possible. They come in wearing masks and are professional. Worst management company ever. As soon as my fiancé and I moved in all our neighbors in the building warned us (wish they had before signing the lease). They never came through on work orders unless they were life and death like having no hot water in winter, but still went 2 weeks without. Our neighbors even hated the company and ocean management wasn't their landlord. Moving out, trouble followed. Received no social security and was charged with $400 trash in front fee. I tried calling for over a month to square it away because I had no idea where it was coming from and Mendy couldn't pick up the phone and call me to discuss so I suffered a negative credit report. If it was possible to give Mandy Management no stars at all I would pick that option. I drove up from Austin Texas to New Haven CT and told the Realtor when I would be arriving a week before I got to New Haven. The day I arrived in New Haven I text the Realtor multiple times about meeting him with little to no response. I get to the office and it turns out I have NO apartment. The apartment I had paid $350 dollars to "take off the market" was never even available. I was told everything would be ready upon arrival and with my whole life packed in my car they told me there was nowhere for me to go. I demanded to speak with the manager who told me "we don't owe you anything." I was shocked that a business could be run this way. Eventually after a very difficult negotiation Mandy Management put me up in one of the apartments which was not ready for use. This meaning the ceiling was falling down, the apartment smelt like paint, and there were holes to the attic [which on the third night a BAT came through]. Pictures of the place are posted as well so you can see for yourself the lack of care Mandy Management have for paying customers. Needless to say I only signed a 1 month lease with them and left to work with C.A.White a MUCH better more professional realty company in New Haven. I didn't even stay in that place longer than 2 weeks and it was ridiculous what they put me through. In addition to this Mandy Management tried to over charge me for my stay and had to reprint/reword the contract because they "accidentally" made my lease a YEAR or "accidentally" made the rent too high. This company is the most unprofessional business I have encountered in my life. DO NOT depend on them to find you a place or help you if you have any issues. Please save yourself a whole lot of headache and stress and avoid this company. read more

They took over my building after it was sold by Pike International. At first, I thought thy would do a better job. The first week they answered the phones when I called about a work order, etc. Unfortunatley, that only lasted for the first week. After that, they stopped answering the phones. On several occasions I came home and the entire outside of the apartment complex was pitch black, none of the motion lights were on. I called the 24 hr emergency number and no one answered. If you live in New Haven then you'd understand how scary and unsafe it is to come home and have to walk to your apartment in pure darkness. Mandy Management / Ocean Management also controls the heating system. I signed a lease which included heat and hot water but the leasing company still defied the lease and controls the heating. Some days, in the smack dead of winter, the heat DOES NOT TURN ON. No overhead lighting fixtures in apartment, entire apartment lit by lamps, walls in apartments have water damage (could cave in at any moment and ruin your furnitures). The hallways are filthy, the carpets are dirty (sinus city), and lighting fixtures are falling apart. When it snows no one plows or puts down salt (unsafe). Garbage all over the court yard. If I were you I'd save myself the stress and not rent from Mandy Management/Ocean Management . Please take my advice. Not worth the money , stress, etc. read more
