The Bloody Mary, which they're supposedly known for, is now a batch cocktail and you can absolutely tell. It lacked flavor, spice, and even basic seasoning. It also didn't come with the celery, bacon, or pickled onions that used to make it stand out. It was mid at best. The barbacoa tacos were also underwhelming. They weren't very filled and lacked flavor overall. Service unfortunately didn't help the experience either. We had to remind our waitress about the Big Reds that were supposed to come with the meal, and they didn't arrive until I was already halfway done eating. We also had to flag down another employee just to get steak knives for the people eating steak and eggs. Honestly, I won't be going back. It's pretty telling that a restaurant that used to be packed is now barely half full. The quality just doesn't seem to match the reputation anymore.

So high marks for the food. But don't think for a second that the people behind the bar understand that they are in the hospitality business. They're not overtly surly, just totally unresponsive. A smile or words of welcome are simply not in their vocabulary. I'm sure they'd say they're busy, and they do have to handle drink orders from the restaurant. But I was one of only three people having dinner at the bar, so I don't buy it. It's obvious that no one has explained to them that part of their job is to make people feel welcome. And that's on ownership/management.
