I called and asked if they did walk ins for a simple cut and they said yes and made a slot for me to come in within 15 minutes. It looked rushed, sloppy, and completely unprofessional. I went back within 30 minutes because it was so obviously messed up and asked them to fix it. Instead of correcting the uneven cut, they chopped off another 2.5 inches. Now my hair is far shorter than I ever wanted and still uneven. It will take months, if not years, for my hair to grow back to the length it was. To make matters worse, the staff were rude and dismissive when I tried to explain the problem. There was no accountability and no real effort to make the situation right. This was one of the most upsetting salon experiences I have ever had. If you value your hair at all, I strongly recommend staying away from this place.

Lol, I got them done last May and still have at least half a head of these k-tips in to this day. Michelle's salon is a little interesting to get to as she's located within a plaza full of other businesses, but the area is nice and close to the train if you need. Michelle is super sweet and super responsive! She knows her stuff, has a ton of experience, and worked so fast, I think she put in like 20-40+ tips (can't remember but I still have a lot left and have lost 10+ so far, so I'm assuming she put in closer to 40?), and she completed the hair in less than an hour with styling. She was so pleasant to get to know, and I look forward to visiting her salon again in the future. As for the tips, I have started manually removing the super tangled ones, and some others have fallen on their own, which I don't mind. The K-tips have grown with my hair and are now below my waist, hitting my hips, they still look amazing almost like the day she put them in. I was pretty upset with how expensive these were, but since they were for my wedding, I coughed up the money and have since gotten double or triple my money's worth. I will say that where some of the tips have fallen off, they damaged my hair, but I'm good with that since I'll be cutting my hair after the rest of the tips fall out. I am so, so happy with my extensions from Michelle! In total, I paid: 1,150 + 100 + tip, which turned out to be ~1,238.70, but I got the "Mac Daddy" longest bundles she had, 22 inches, I believe. I have not treated them very well, and they have somehow still held. I also have dyed them probably more than 10 times with the rest of my hair with no issues. The quality of her hair extensions is amazing! Unless you tell someone, they probably won't know you have extensions. Next time I have another special occasion, and she's available, I'm definitely booking again with Michelle. For a first-time experience with K-tip extensions, I could not have gone with anyone better. FYI--if it's your first time getting hair extensions, know it can be painful to get used to since the extensions weigh down your natural hair, and as they fall out, they will rip your natural hair out unless you're gentle. THIS WILL HAPPEN NO MATTER where you go, btw, there's really no way to avoid it, unless you get them in for a few days and then removed after, or you're an expert with these and know how to take care of your hair with tips in. You could also pay extra to have her remove them if you need that later. I untangle them manually, and so far, that's worked for me. Style as per usual, keeping in mind the bumps where the tips are attached/glued to your natural hair.

The shop sells several different kinds, but I was interested in the halo specifically since they seemed easy to put in and take out, especially if I want to wear them more than just for my wedding. When I came in for a consultation, crew went over the halo and helped me choose the color and length. I came back the week after to have my hair color/matched and halo "fitted," or cut. I chose to get a really long length (~10 longer than my actual hair), so it was harder to blend the hair to look natural and curling is a must. But I think Oscar did an excellent job. (My wedding hair and makeup artist made it look phenomenal) It had been over 10 years since I've dyed my hair, so the coloring was a little off at my roots, but they quickly fit me a few days later to fix it. I really respect a business/their employees who go out of their way to make sure customers are happy. I'd say the only downside is parking, but it's definitely manageable. At my most recent appointment, I got a call about an hour before letting me know the stylist I had booked with was unavailable because of a family emergency. I completely understand that emergencies happen, but this has happened to me more than a few times over the years, and it was not always a family emergency. I still went in. They were able to do my all-over color and trim my bangs, but I left feeling really disappointed. My hair was left wet, and my bangs weren't styled until I asked. For a service that cost $250, I expected to leave looking and feeling more put together. I asked my family if it looked like I had gone to the hairdresser and they all said: not really. What made this more frustrating is that it wasn't a one-time issue. Over the years, I've also had last-minute schedule changes, been asked to switch salon locations after booking, had appointments changed to a different stylist, had a hairdryer dropped on my head and felt like I didn't just drop $200+ on a service. There have been multiple times where the service just didn't feel consistent with the price. I do want to say that not everyone here has given me a bad experience. Crystal has always been reliable, consistent, and very good at what she does. Diana, the esthetician, is also excellent. Switching my lash place because my previous lash lady's glue was so bad, it always felt like torture when I was getting them done. But, the lashes always came out looking fantastic. Thought I'd give Bad & Boujee a try - really wanted to like them but the result was so bad. My appointment was supposed to be at 12:30. I arrived around 12:45 b/c of my toddler. But, she didn't start on my lashes till almost 1:30, after the lash removal since she was still running late with the lady before. This was on Mother's Day, too . What I told her: Normally I get Mega volume, but lately I've been getting regular volume so it doesn't look as "va voom," especially since my toddler sometimes will punch me in the face and it affects my lashes falling out. After sharing this, Skye asked me if I was ok to try another style. I said I was ok with it, but I needed to have enough lashes so that even if my toddler hits me in the face, I would still have lashes left over. She suggested the wet lash style, which I had seen on the internet and seemed fine according to what I had seen. I do not believe my result is normally what the wet lash look is supposed to look like. Pros: Skye was really sweet and extremely gentle - completely the opposite experience from my previous lash lady. I really enjoyed talking to her. Cons: this is barely any lashes. I'm sorry, but the lashes I walked out the shop with is usually how many lashes I have remaining 3 weeks to 1 month later. I FaceTimed my best friend and she was like, you paid for that? It looks like nothing! It was $40 just for the removal. I paid total $240 including tax and tip for the service. It took me a couple weeks to review because I hate posting negative reviews, especially when people are nice - but I came for the service and literally I can barely look at my own face because wdym I paid $240 for this?!? If I'm paying $200+ for lashes, I want to see them. This is not it. And I'm supposed to go on vacay. It may be that having one hour less due to running late and the removal affected the amount she could put since the time period was shorter - but I've had my lashes done all over the world and this is the most disappointed I've been in YEARS. And usually my result is much better than this with 1.5hrs.
