I came here to get my hair and makeup done for my baby shower and really appreciated that they were able to accommodate me last minute. They were very kind throughout the appointment and did offer to redo parts of my makeup when I mentioned concerns. However, this involved having to go home to get my own products as their selection was limited. I did ask for a more simple, natural look, but considering I was still paying to have it professionally done instead of doing it myself at home, I expected a bit more overall attention to detail and product availability. I also wish there had been more transparency beforehand about what products and prep would be needed. I wasn't informed that I should arrive with skincare already done as some places prefer their own products to avoid pilling, but there didn't seem to be basics available like moisturizer. The makeup products used felt very drying on my skin, and the product selection overall seemed quite limited for a full makeup service. For example, lips were never done, and there wasn't even an eyelash curler available. For hair, the service mainly consisted of a rough blow dry as I came with washed hair, brushing, and a simple style with hairspray, which felt underwhelming for the price point. I did request a simple voluminous style, but I still expected more finishing/styling work like round brushing and product use than a basic blow dry and pinning. Overall, while everyone was kind and welcoming, I personally did not feel the services matched the cost ($120 for makeup and $70 for hair), especially since I ended up redoing most of it at home before my event. I'm sure they may be a better fit for other services, but I likely would not return for hair and makeup styling. read more

10/10 LASH SPOT I LOVEEE this lash spot so much. After visiting high quality lash spots in LA I would actually fly home to get my lashes done here and that is not an understatement. Vi is the best. I am a life long client of hers and will be. I learned about this lash spot through Rani Beauty Clinic. I don't endorse just any lash spots, mainly because I have extremely sensitive eyes. My eyes water and the lash guards easily cut into my eyes leaving them red, irritated, and sore for days. With Vilena I don't experience any of the following and get to enjoy my lashes. Another thing I really appreciate is her efficiency. I'll have a new set quickly which is amazing because while I love getting beauty services, I hate having to sit and wait for extended periods of times waiting to get my nails or lashes or whatever the case may be done. In less than an hour and a half I will have the most beautiful, fluffy, wispy, glamorous set. She also makes sure to customize it to the best lash look for your eyes. I prefer a cat eye, but she's the only lash master-not tech who has opened me to the idea of different lash styles like doll eye. I do like a more classic lash but love glam lashes. I am thrilled I found Mahaira and Bad and Beauty Salon. My 1st visit was a haircut and consult of color correction. !st the Salon is very cute and relaxing. Mahaira is beyond Awesome!!! She really listened to my words and what I was needing and wanting. I had a color done by someone else that turned totally orange within a week. Mahaira explained how we could fix it and get me back to the color I wanted . So my 2nd visit she spent 4 hours carefully fixing my orange, then adding highlights and low lights. My favorite place for lashes! The girls here do a phenomenal job! They know how to style lashes that suit your eye type. I've done various styles with them in the past, and they even know how to do anime style lashes as well! The girls are super sweet, highly experienced and do an amazing job. I've been to countless lash places around the area and as an Asian, there has been many times where the lashes would either poke my eye or would be too heavy. I explained to Linda that I had a bad experience with the last person who colored my hair and turned it a brassy color...I have dark brown hair and needed to cover the grey... Linda corrected my hair from that abomination to a much lighter, much softer color without causing anymore major damage. She had me in and out within 4 hours. She and her team took the time to get to know me and my long lifeless hair. I had a top orange and darker at the lower that needed to be corrected, my hair was ruined. Linda is extremely passionate about hair and her clients. She had thought of many different ways before hand and suggestions. We agreed to take a few inches off, added multiple life saving ointments, rinse, and color my hair to my liking. All the steps and hours was necessary to make sure my hair was alive and my hair feels so healthy, has volume and style. I thought I was going to have to cut it all, but they managed to remove the color and heal my really damaged hair!! Now I have a beautiful hair. My hair was saved from disaster.
