I booked an appointment and…read moreexplained to the person on the phone that I had previously had chunks of my hair bright pink and that I wanted to do a color correction back to chocolate brown she said she would dye my whole head with dark brown dye and i would be fine, within a week the pieces that were pink were red and the rest of my hair was dark brown and it was super noticeable and I had called her and asked if she could fix it and she said to come in, and when I did I had explained to her that since my hair had been bleached so many times that it had lost it's natural pigmentation meaning she would need to use a filler color first and then go over it with the final color again so that it doesn't fade red. And she ignored me and proceeded to dye the red pieces jet black and I simply asked if she was going to put a filler color in once again and she said "who told you about filler color? Are you a cosmetologist?" And I was honestly shocked and just said no and she proceeded to do my hair the way she wanted. Within a week later my hair was red again. She first offered me 11am, then changed it to 5pm -- I agreed to both just to be flexible. She confirmed the 5pm slot twice, including a message the day before. A day before, she messaged asking if I could come earlier due to another client rescheduling. I didn't see the message until about an hour before my appt., and I let her know I'd still be arriving at our agreed time. When I showed up, the salon was closed -- shades down, no answer on IG or by phone. About 30 minutes after the appointment time, she messaged saying she assumed I wasn't coming since I didn't reply earlier. But that's not how confirmed appointments work -- a request to change the time doesn't cancel the original slot unless it's confirmed by both sides. She later said she had an emergency and had to leave early -- and I completely understand that things happen. I also recognize that she's likely running a small business on her own and juggling a lot. But even so, clients' time should still be respected. A quick message or call to cancel before the appointment would've made all the difference. I was really looking forward to working with Coco. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and professionalism made this a disappointing experience.

I came in for a haircut and blonde highlights and left with yellow / orange tinted skunk streaks. The haircut which was just a shoulder length cut with layers (her suggestion) really just cleaning up ends was $45. That seems steep for what it was but whatever - the cut wasn't horrible although some layers in the back were too short for me. But the big problem is the highlights. Especially up top. I've never seen someone place foils the way she did but I tried to trust the process. She also did not use heat for my hair to process and that was the fatal mistake. The highlights are chunky and because heat wasn't used, the top highlights didn't fully lift and came out yellow orange. Immediately when she asked if I liked it I brought those concerns up. The worst part for me was the price. I asked in advance what the price range would be for highlights. She said $80-$250 depending on length and thickness. My hair was short (shoulder) and is VERY thin. She charged me $165 when that only took her an hour and 15 minutes including the processing time. In total for the cut and color $210. Even after I complained initially that I wasn't happy. When I told her that was a lot more than I expected especially considering I now have to pay someone else (I wouldn't trust her to do it) to fix the top - she discounted me $20 for a $190 total. If you're looking for quality this is not the place. I hope my photos clearly validate this experience. (Also - the place smelled very badly, like sewage had backed up).
