If could give 0 stars I would. On june of 2021 i was in a car accident two days after the accident…read moreI went in due to severe paid in my neck and shoulders with some abdominal pain. I went in with a doo-rag, sweats and a hoodie. Was looked at suspiciously but thought nothing of it. After waiting and being sent into an examination room I explained the car crash, what happened and the areas affected. The nurse taking down my history asked me the basics. Me having ER nurses throughout my family (aunts, granny, mother) i know doctor, lawyers are not who you lie to. So i made sure to let them know that I didn't do drugs and rarely drank, i dont even like to use Tylenol and Ibuprofen, but was a heavy cannabis user (in terms of dealing with pain) [I have been in the cannabis industry for a long time consultin/managing working with cancer patients to manage pain and nausea during the medical only years] - I saw the nurses eyes roll as she wrote this down. i was already getting side eyed but that must have been the thing that set them off because i was treated as if all of my pain was fake. Everyone became extremely dismissive, they reluctantly and with attitude told me they would give me a CT scan. As i went through that process the tech doing my CT asked if i had any other paid i described areas around my eyes and head and how it felt kind of dull. He looked at me and without a seconds thought said "this sounds like a sinus infection, we cant give you anything for that but we can suggest some medications" i looked at him like he was dense. And kept to myself. I get the scan wait for the results and the physician looking over the results comes in and checks me out. Touching my neck, my abdominal. I gave her detailed account of the car crash, how it happened, how i was positioned and what i was feeling. She tells me off the cuff "well we cant give you anything for it, just ibuprofen" I am shocked. She doesn't talk about or try problem solving just telling me that she is waiting for my scans. 10 mins later Gets my scans, and tells me there is swelling but nothing serious. Pain should go down and to put ice on it. I know and feel something is wrong so I call my friend a former cop, she gets me in with a chiropractor that very next day. In the mean time I call my aunt (now retired) and she agrees, she was so pissed she almost called herself but I told her not to worry because we had other family matters going on at the time. I go to the chiropractor he doesn't want to touch me before knowing whats happening. He orders an MRI and a CT scan- days later after getting the results 3 of my vertebrae are rubbing against each other cuz i had blown out disc. My lower abdominal pain was because two disc were pressing against my sciatica!!! Over time i started to have partial paralysis in my left and right arm. Very poor grip strength. All the of the medicine professionals i saw from then on were kind, patient and understanding never dismissing me very worried about solving the problem. Ultimately i had to get a ACDF surgery on 3 vertebrae in my neck and cortisol shots in my lower back!!! If i had just listened to them i would have been in a horrible place. Luckily through love and care from professionals who actually LISTENED AND CARED; I am back on my feet. I am powerlifting and close to where I was prior to the car crash. Still have a lot left to do an go but I am a firm believer in CROSSFIT and what it has done for me. I have NEVER been treated the way i was treated there. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Listen to your instincts and make sure to write down names of every one who helps you. Make sure you get a 2nd and 3rd opinion! I know this is years removed; but have u ever had such a bad experience you just wanted to leave it all behind? I was in such a bad place trying to pick my body up to be as functional as possible I didn't want added stress, from something i couldn't control. i just wanted to leave that experience behind but now I am absolutely making sure ppl avoid these types of places and go to real hospitals that care. Hope this helps anyone looking; SUMMERLIN hospital, Valley Hospital, Sunrise - those are people WHO CARE

If I could give -1,000,000 stars, I would. This place is absolutely horrible and completely…read moredisgusting in how they treat people. I went to the ER after a car wreck. I handed them my insurance information right when I got there. All they did was take my vitals, ask where I was in pain, refer me for pain management, and I left. That's it. No surgery. No procedures. No real treatment. Just a basic walk-in ER visit. I assumed they billed my insurance like any normal, honest facility would. My insurance would have paid the allowed amount and that would've been the end of it. Instead, they decided to put a lien on my insurance settlement check for $15,000. $15,000 for vitals and a brief ER walk-in. They didn't even have the decency to tell me they were doing this. There's apparently no law requiring them to bill insurance first, so instead of accepting what insurance would have paid, they chose to come after my settlement so they could try to get more money. Almost a year later, while I'm finally getting my payout, my lawyer informs me they placed a lien on any money I receive. For what? For walking into the ER. They are not here to help people. If they think you might receive money from an accident, they will absolutely try to grab a piece of it. It feels predatory and greedy. They care more about squeezing every dollar they can out of you than actually helping patients. Do not go here. They are worthless, dishonest, and completely out of line. If you value transparency and basic decency, stay far away.

The space is clean when you enter and just has some seating and kiosks for people who I'm assuming are walk ins to use to check in. The cleaners they use are so strong though, not just like bleach smell , but very heavy in fragrance. It made it very hard for me to breath and my nose was running. The tech asked if I was trying not to cry at one point...no just allergic to this space. It if weren't for that it would have been great though. I was called shortly after checking in. I told the phlebotomist I faint easily if I don't have something to lay down on so she brought in a recliner chair. I also let her know I needed a butterfly needle and she accommodated. It seemed she had a to navigate the needle a bit, but I think I was a bit dehydrated. She didn't rush me after and made sure I wasn't dizzy. I appreciated the care she gave me, and how efficient they were. I just don't know if I'd be able to go back because of how intense the cleaners are they use. I had to shower when I got home because my body was starting to itch and my hair stank so bad from the off gassing of it. I don't remember any of the other clinics smelling so strong before.

Hello Yelp Friends!…read more I just called to schedule my annual mammogram and a breast US. The gal I spoke with was Margaret, she said I could call her Marga. She was very pleasant. I explained that I was notified they received my orders and I needed to schedule an appt for July. She explained that my two tests would need to be scheduled back to back and that the schedule was full for July. I explained that I was just starting a new job and my insurance will be changing and I don't have my new insurance info yet. She was very reassuring and said that I could call back just as soon as I have the info and ask for her and she will help me get scheduled. My Dr. order is good for a year so there should not be a gap in my care. I was relieved to hear that and pleased she was so helpful. I feel that she provided excellent customer service and I will definitely ask for her when I call back to schedule my appt. I highly recommend SDMI. They always provide great patient care and excellent customer service. Check them out.

What should have been a simple MRI turned into an entire afternoon of inefficiency and frustration…read more Prior to arriving at the office, Steinberg employees need to review procedures, ask some medical questions, discuss the scan, etc. This phone conversation took about half an hour the week prior to the test. The next day I received an email to check in on line. That was another half hour or more answering the same questions on the computer. The day before I was to have an MRI at the Sienna location, we received a call rescheduling to the N. Gibson office. Now that I've been rescheduled to a different location, the electronic questions must be answered again. Another 30 minutes or so. Arriving 15 minutes before the recommended half hour early time, there were a couple of people ahead of me at the front desk. When it was my turn to speak with someone, I told them my name and was advised to sit down and we will call you in a couple of minutes (to deal with insurance cards, etc.). One of the receptionists was knee deep in a complicated billing discussion with a patient, and the other was on the computer ignoring people. Seven or eight other patients arrived after we did, and were also told to have a seat, we'll call you. Each of those people were called and I sat patiently waiting. 45 minutes later, as my MRI was supposed to be starting, I went back up to the front desk and again gave my name. The receptionist checked the computer and said I wasn't on the list any more. Not sure what that meant, but we needed to check in, so I was a little more assertive and convinced him to take copies of my ID cards, etc. I have a fairly common first name and, due to HIPAA Privacy laws, staff only uses the first name of the patient when calling them for their scan. This led to a good deal of confusion in the lobby. In the area where scans are done, there is a second waiting room. Upon receiving my gown and socks, etc. I was given a clipboard with more paperwork to review and sign (what was duplicate information previously done multiple times). An employee called my name and walked me back in the direction of the MRI machine, pausing first to review all of the paperwork, signatures, etc. while I waited in my gown and socks. Then told to please go sit back down. All together, this paperwork and check in fiasco took nearly an hour. The MRI was a 20 minute event and done. So arriving at 2:45, we left about 5 pm. We have recommendations for improving the efficiency of the office if anyone in management would care to contact us.

This place is absolutely horrible in the way they treat human beings and moreso with their outdated and biased terminology and verbal abuses. It would be better for all Veterans in this area if this place was shut down entirely because the detriment they do to soldiers who have served and seek help navigating their benefits and entitlements is worse than not getting any advice or support at all since they dont give appropriate information to their community anyway. I would say avoid at ALL costs and probably making the trip out to Reno to ask about benefits and services would be more realistic to getting some. My unit in Nevada even reported the abuses and inappropriate denials they were dishing out to National Guard soldiers and it fell on deaf ears.

New to the state and my mom was looking for a secondary doctor to maybe replace her primary doctor…read morewho is out of state. She also wanted advice on a rash and some knee pain. Saw some great ratings and reviews on google for San Juan so decided to give it a try after getting informed over the phone. Staff was welcoming and professional and had my mom's information for her appointment. The price for the physical was 280.00 and this included a full panel lab work. My mom was assisted by nurse practitioner Kim Mijung. My mom is a Spanish speaker and this place has plenty of translators who assist the nurse practitioner with translation and data entry prior to meeting the NP. Basic questions were asked and the medicine list was asked again by Kim even though they were provided and noted earlier by medical assistant/ translator. Instead of handing the bag to my mom they made her get off the patient table to retrieve the bag and re provide the medication so it can be noted. Keep in mind they knew she was there for knee pain at least offer to hand the bag? The whole physical with Kim lasted about 10-15 min. I don't think that enough time to know your patient and write it off as a yearly physical. Typically they try to get to know you and explain what they are doing and why. When asked if there was any questions my mom asked about the rash and knee pain and if she had any suggestions. The rash Kim said it goes and comes and was dismissive but said she would prescribe medication and for the kneee she didn't even bother to look at it and immediately said it was due to old age. My mom is 63 not 103 at least take a peek at it and pretend you care? Lab work results are not sent via email or text; you must go back and have them read to you for 45.oo extra dollars. They did provide a complimentary mammogram which we schedule during next visit on lab results day. Pros: easy to set up appointment; translators; complimentary mammogram and in house labs. Good for maybe basic needs on a healthy person or very young person with little or no medical concerns. Cons: no doctor; you are treated by NP with maybe not enough experience on treating patients and lacking empathy. NP does not adequate time to understand the patient and provide productive treatment or plan of treatment. Dismissive on pain and concerns. I noticed that the patients were mostly immigrants and who spoke Spanish like my mom. Let's remember that all healthcare is sacred and we must treat each patient as precious as each one of them is loved and wanted to be cared for with the out most dignity and respect.
