Hello Yelp Friends! I just called to schedule my annual mammogram and a breast US. The gal I spoke with was Margaret, she said I could call her Marga. She was very pleasant. I explained that I was notified they received my orders and I needed to schedule an appt for July. She explained that my two tests would need to be scheduled back to back and that the schedule was full for July. I explained that I was just starting a new job and my insurance will be changing and I don't have my new insurance info yet. She was very reassuring and said that I could call back just as soon as I have the info and ask for her and she will help me get scheduled. My Dr. order is good for a year so there should not be a gap in my care. I was relieved to hear that and pleased she was so helpful. I feel that she provided excellent customer service and I will definitely ask for her when I call back to schedule my appt. I highly recommend SDMI. Have had multiple imaging appointments here since they opened this location on Gibson. They are always efficient and usually ahead of schedule when I go before lunch. The ladies at the front desk are always helpful and friendly. The radiographers are always efficient and explain everything very well. Prices are reasonable for the quality of services. Plenty of parking, good drop off at front doors, and all doors into the building and office are automatic so if you have someone who is disabled, this is very helpful. read more

I had an MRI a week ago. Of my ankle. It's swollen and I can barely walk. I still don't have the results. From what I understand there is a shortage of radiologists. If that's the case then why are they taking so many appointments that they don't have the staff to handle reading the MRI. Very frustrating. read more

I am having multiple issues with this facility. I do want to say that the technicians are all very nice and very efficient but the front desk staff and getting test results. It has been three weeks since I had my lung CT and I still have no results. Also, I need a diagnostic study and they are making me wait over a month. This is just not acceptable when you're worried about your health. I think I'm going to find a new place. read more

First time to this location, few years ago went to the one on Eastern. My check-in was super quick. Girls were very kind and helped to set up secondary insurance so my out of pocket expenses will be lower. Everyone I met was very sweet, I had wonderful experience. Saw a lot of people there with spot injuries. They might have taken longer time, since it's not paperwork. I have done everything online ahead of time- so it was a breeze. Not that I wish to ever go back there. But life happens and this medical center was nothing but positive experience for me. read more

Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging - Make sense... - Radiologists Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

What should have been a simple MRI turned into an entire afternoon of inefficiency and frustration. Prior to arriving at the office, Steinberg employees need to review procedures, ask some medical questions, discuss the scan, etc. This phone conversation took about half an hour the week prior to the test. The next day I received an email to check in on line. That was another half hour or more answering the same questions on the computer. The day before I was to have an MRI at the Sienna location, we received a call rescheduling to the N. Gibson office. Now that I've been rescheduled to a different location, the electronic questions must be answered again. Another 30 minutes or so. Arriving 15 minutes before the recommended half hour early time, there were a couple of people ahead of me at the front desk. When it was my turn to speak with someone, I told them my name and was advised to sit down and we will call you in a couple of minutes (to deal with insurance cards, etc.). One of the receptionists was knee deep in a complicated billing discussion with a patient, and the other was on the computer ignoring people. Seven or eight other patients arrived after we did, and were also told to have a seat, we'll call you. Each of those people were called and I sat patiently waiting. 45 minutes later, as my MRI was supposed to be starting, I went back up to the front desk and again gave my name. The receptionist checked the computer and said I wasn't on the list any more. Not sure what that meant, but we needed to check in, so I was a little more assertive and convinced him to take copies of my ID cards, etc. I have a fairly common first name and, due to HIPAA Privacy laws, staff only uses the first name of the patient when calling them for their scan. This led to a good deal of confusion in the lobby. In the area where scans are done, there is a second waiting room. Upon receiving my gown and socks, etc. I was given a clipboard with more paperwork to review and sign (what was duplicate information previously done multiple times). An employee called my name and walked me back in the direction of the MRI machine, pausing first to review all of the paperwork, signatures, etc. while I waited in my gown and socks. Then told to please go sit back down. All together, this paperwork and check in fiasco took nearly an hour. The MRI was a 20 minute event and done. So arriving at 2:45, we left about 5 pm. We have recommendations for improving the efficiency of the office if anyone in management would care to contact us. read more

So the experience I had was professional at the front desk and the back office technicians were very good. Now for the professionals reading the very important scan to determine my cancer diagnosis. It sucked in plan and simple terms. It took the radiologist 23 days to look at my CT!!!!!!!!!!! I know it wasn't read because the staff at Steinberg told me they were behind on their work. Then I called my oncologist office they also said they are having great problems with Steinberg getting to reading scans on time. Then the doctor told us even when he calls to complain of slow reading Steinberg says "stop calling we know we are behind"!!!! I found out that Intermountain Heathcare bought out Steinberg back in November of 2025. This use to be the "go to" place for quality imaging and quality interruption and time management. Now it falls under the corporate category of poor customer and provider service. Shame shame shame shame corporate management sucks once again. read more

Friendly staff and super quick service. This is a great place to come for quality care. I have never had an issue with ANY test I have had to get here. I would recommend this location if you need a diagnostic testing done. You would be in luck if you got Roxanna when you check in. She's a real dream. read more

It has been over two weeks since my chest ct scan and no results are available. I may have to cancel my doctor's appointment which was not easy to come by. No amount of good patient care makes up for having a test and not getting any results from it. read more

This place needs to step up and hire competent people who actually know their jobs,and they don't have a good name with the doctor offices here either, but they offer what some other places don't. First, I came in for a CT scan of my lower back, and they never sent the results to my pain management doctor!! My pain management doctor had to put a trace on my CT scan of my lower back, so he could find out my results!!! I then called them to make an appointment to get an appointment to have biopsies done of my right breast, and they needed another order for a second kind of biopsy to go with what my doctor ordered, and did they ever call my doctor and tell him that? No! Because that would require them to do their jobs! The lady I spoke with said that they get so many orders,that some get missed. I told her that they get missed because the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing there,and that they had better learn to do their jobs,and stop making ridiculous excuses! I called my doctor and told him what I need, and his nurse called me to tell me that everything that Steinberg needed had been faxed over. When I called to make an appointment for my biopsies and a Dexascan which two different doctors ordered, Steinberg did their usual " We can't find it. We were never sent anything. " which is complete horse pucky! I was call when the orders were faxed over, and I was even on the phone with my doctor's receptionist when she faxed the order for my biopsies and my Oncologist office told me more than once that they had faxed the order for my Dexascan to Steinberg and when I told whoever I was talking to this, she tried to blame the doctors!! Sorry Sweetheart, this isn't the first y'all have done this, nor will it be the last which is sad, very sad . Plus, I see a lot of doctors and they never have anything nice to say about Steinberg, but they have to use them because Steinberg offers services that other x-ray places don't like I said in the beginning. I did Steinberg's job for them once again, and I called both doctors and they're going to fax my orders again over to Steinberg and hopefully they notice that they have received my orders. Steinberg, your " We can't find and We never got " excuses are old, very old, and y'all better start doing your jobs,and hire people who know what they doing because this is pitiful, just pitiful. There's no excuse for such incompetence, nich, nada, none!! Get better or close down, that shouldn't even have to be a choice. I hung up on the people that I was talking to at Steinberg twice before I used some unsavory language because I was getting frustrated at all their pitiful excuses instead of them owning up to that they made a mistake. The big issue with this company - and I have been to four different offices in Las Vegas and Henderson - is that they apparently think a 15 day window is fine for sending out reports. I have had to cancel doctor's appointments several times because imaging done on day one isn't read until 15 or more days later. It's unacceptable by any standard. read more

They never keep their appointments. Clear your schedule. Clear your day. Hell, clear the entire week! You'd think that a long established business would know how long their services take. I had an MRI done for known issues. They're reading showed NO PROBLEM. Interesting since 3 other MRI's (from different sources) had nearly identical results of my lumbar disc issue. I wonder if they even conducted the reading. read more

I have used steinberg at least 3 times over the past year. The staff during my appt are amazing and helpful. All have been great experiences at my appt. Getting the results, speaking to staff, anything after has been miserable. Most of the time my report is fast and available, but when it isnt fast, it just never comes. They states 3-5 business days you will see your report on the patient portal. We are well over the 5 days and despite calls and questions i have no option but to wait with no date in sight. Waiting around for potential cancer results isnt the funnest thing to get no results on. Everyone hates getting these scans- you would think with all the locations they could help each other. After this experience i will try a new place. read more

My insurance requires us to use Steinburg. Every time I have used them it was great. Recently went for my yearly mammogram. They sent forms ahead of time to fill out. I pretty much walked in and said hello, verified my info and waited to be called back. It wasn't my first one so I know what to expect and I have always had the same tech. I was a little nervous when it was a new/different tech. Not necessary! She was just as kind and gentle as the other tech. It's an awkward exam but the staff makes it less awkward. Ladies, get your mammograms! I mean, if you're of a certain age, that is. I've been coming to this location for a few years now for my screenings. The whole process is efficient and quick. SDMI sends the necessary paperwork by email a week before my appointments so I can fill them out online. That step saves so much time once you actually get to your appointment. I arrived for my mammogram and only had to check in and take a seat; no paperwork to be done there. I was called by the x-ray tech at 3:01pm for my 3pm appointment. I went through the exam (yes, it's uncomfortable) and was done in ten minutes. The x-ray techs there have always been professional and gentle, making sure that I'm alright during the process. If you have to be examined this way to be sure you're healthy, give SDMI a shot. read more

MRIs have come a long way in the 11 years since the first I ever had. What once took almost an hour took only around 10 minutes last night. I had been stressing over the thought of it but I survived pretty well. Check in was easy. The technician was sweet and caring. She walked me through everything that was going on. She even put me in feet first. That may sound like a small thing but it makes a huge difference when you have had panic attacks with MRI. This time ended up being not so bad. The facility at Gibson and Galleria is clean. Night time was definitely the right time for me as the facility was relatively quiet and empty. I was in an out in about an hour. That included check on, wait time, changing in and out of the gowns and the procedure itself. Not terrible. What was terrible was scheduling online. It was SO confusing. You can select a time but not necessarily the day. It makes it hard to know what you are scheduling until you actually schedule. I had to reachedule because the first time I tried I ended up with a good time but not a good day. That was my one main complaint. Other than that, this whole experience was much better than I had stressed about it being. read more

Linda who preformed my MRI was professional, kind and made the overall process less daunting. Although my appointment was delayed almost an hour, I was notified and updated by two different employees. If needed, I would definitely choose this location again. First, there was no one at the desk for check-in when I arrived. That was approximately an 8-10 minute wait for someone to finally appear. The ladies at the front desk are rude and unprofessional. They were busy talking about their weekend plans with one saying, " My man is going to bar-b-que this weekend." These conversations all taking place while customers were waiting to be called up for check-in. I sat there for 43 minutes before I was called up to check in. Others in the waiting area were also complaining about the long wait. Once checked in, it was back to the waiting game. Once I was called back for testing, things were better. Both of the techs I encountered were very friendly and professional. There is a definite difference between the front desk staff and the techs. It's unfortunate that the first impression given by the front desk staff is so horrible because the technicians are wonderful. Unfortunately, due to the rudeness and poor customer service of the front desk staff, I will not be scheduling at this GIBSON LOCATION again! The one star is for the friendly, professional techs I encountered. The front desk staff deserves ZERO stars! ADDENDUM after the lame response from their staff member: Let's not take the focus off of the horrible customer service by trying to divert this to PHI. This had nothing to do with PHI!!! Simple walk in XRay and asked approximately how long the wait time is? Person up front would not provide a time. Less than an hour or 2 hours nothing. I'm not waiting in the dark with no time frame. So I left to another place that wants my business. Poor customer service. read more

Awesome I just came home from a cardiac CAT scan. I never got the techs name but she was absolutely amazing! So professional, kind, gentle and caring. She did everything in her power to make me feel comfortable and not so scared. I wish there were more people in the world like her. Please when you call people in from the lobby to have their test done, at least say their first name and last name initial. There was a mixup between myself and another patient with the same first name. This caused me to have to wait an unreasonably long time and I was late getting to work afterward. Other than this, I have no complaints. read more

I have gone to two of SDMI's locations. The first being on Sunset and the one on Gibson. Both are fantastic, but this location by far exceeded my expectations. First off, the check-in process was easy. The girls at the front desk are very welcoming. The one who attended me looked very happy to be at work and answered all my insurance questions. I waited about 10 minutes after checking in to be called in. Once I was called the woman helping me was so clear and concise in giving me directions of what I had to do before going in for my MRI. They provided a locker with keys so my belongings were safe while I was going in to my test. The faculty is extremely clean! The woman who performed my MRI was super friendly, she placed headphones on my ears so the noise wouldn't bother. She even asked what music I would like to listen to, Talk about great customer service!! During the MRI she asked a few times how I was doing. Having an MRI can be a nerve wrecking, especially since you're in a tight space for an extended time but at SDMI I felt like I was in a safe place and well taken care of!! read more

But I have to say I enjoy going to Steinberg because they're courteous there on time, and they realize that my time is just as important and valuable as their time. I had a 245 appointment with check-in at 2:15, and before 3 o'clock, I was out of the building with the testing completed. I was greeted upon arrival and the woman behind the counter was polite and courteous. I was there with my son who needed an X-ray STAT and they were about to get us in before closing within the hour. The wait was about 30 minutes but we were in and out in a reasonable time for being walk ins. There was a man in his 30's that took my son's X-ray. He acknowledged my son and made him feel comfortable and introduced himself. He was gentle and patient. read more

Made an appointment for an Ultrasound. Check in was 7:30am and Appt 8am. Arrived at 730 and was promptly checked in, called over for my insurance and id information. Paid my copay and sat back in the waiting area for about 2min until I was called back. The whole appointment went by without issues. The tech was professional and I was in and out quickly. The waiting area was clean, all employees were masked and hand sanitizer was provided and I was asked to pump it into my hands prior to touching anything and grabbing my own pen. In a time where we need compassion and care the most, I cannot begin to say how impressed I was with how wonderful this establishment took care of me today. I was so nervous going in because as with any type of tests , your placing yourself in someone care for a few minutes and because I have a strict schedule worth of appointments throughout the day and need to be on time. I arrived and staff were absolutely friendly not just toward me but with each other. I could tell immediately that they all work well together. My appointment was right on schedule and the person that took care of me was so professional and compassionate. I felt at ease. I was surprised how quick and easy my appointment was. I made an appointment for a DEXA scan only 3 days before. Upon entering my temperature was checked and I was asked some medical questions. Masks are required right now, just like anywhere else. I was given a brand new pen to fill out paperwork and told to keep it in case I needed to sign anything else, which I did. I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment, as they told me to do, and I was in and out before my actual appointment time. My waiting room wait time was significantly less than most other times. Chairs were blocked for social distancing and hand sanitizer was provided. This place was new and very clean and the staff was very friendly. My results were sent to my doctor within two days. This will be my go to place for X-rays, scans and everything else. read more

I have been to the sunset location and the Gibson one. Both are great. Easy online appointment making, easy quick check in at the office, everyone is helpful and friendly. I have 2 ultrasounds done here and I felt so comfortable and at ease. Another great thing you can see ultrasounds images and results on your online portal! Which I love! I've been going to STEINBERG Diagnostics for over 25 years for mammograms, ultrasounds & various diagnostic tests, MRIs, x-rays etc. The staff & technicians are friendly & kind. Recently had an MRI done in the evening which is convenient for working people. The results are usually available in 2-3 days & you can get a copy for your records. The only thing that needs to be"tweaked" is their automated phone system called "EMMA". I tried in vain to get a "human" to answer a question but Emma just wouldn't switch me as she didn't understand my repeated request for "customer service agent". I finally got a hold of someone in the film room that transferred me to a person who could answer my question. Automated systems can be extremely FRUSTRATING if none of the "menu selections" fall into the category you need! I mentioned this to the front desk check in girl at my MRI appointment & she told me to put my remarks in the survey & review... Hope they are working on this phone system to make it easier & faster! There is plenty of handicap & FREE self parking around the building. Easy access into the building as they have automatic doors. read more

I'm getting an mri today and I absolutely trust this facility to do a great job as they had done once before. The office staff are extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful of my needs and the time I spend waiting for my procedure. Once taken back for my mri the technician talks about what will happen and how long I'll be there. I'm very pleased with this facility and the staff. My major complaint is that they scheduled another person for an mri at the same time as me. When I was brought to the back waiting area there were four other people way for an mri ahead of me . A fifth was called back after waiting for hers 2 hours. This is unexceptable. If I would have known about the long wait I would have rescheduled for a time when I could be seen right away. Maybe I should charge them for my time since it was wasted. They didn't even tell me it was going to be that long a wait. Very unprofessional. read more

Edit: Stacy reached out to me directly to get my information, to express her own apologies and to reassure me that this was not par for the course for this location. I am adding a star for her taking the time to care, because very few people in this location seemed to last Wednesday. The receptionist is the only competent person in the building. After arriving early, I was still made to wait 30 minutes to check in and pay my copay, only to be told that it would be another 45 minutes until they could see me and then another 30 minutes for my exam. From the scheduling process to the actual exam this place is awful. They have terrible excuses and a lot of angry people in the waiting room. The check-in clerks literally sat for 20 minutes discussing 4th of July plans with a waiting room full of clients. I wish my insurance used ANYONE else. I have no luck with this company at all. read more
