This was me and my boyfriend's first time coming here and we had a really good time! We went on a Sunday night around 7:30pm and there was a long wait time but they will put you on a waitlist and text you when your table is ready. The place has alot of anime decor like figurines, a Luffy & Naruto statue and the walls are covered in anime & manga, which I loved!!!! The sushi was good and came pretty quick, however we had to wait a bit for any of the fried stuff. My boyfriend loved the Osaka Roll alot, he said it practically melted in his mouth and I loved the Torched Tilapia Nigiri, it was light and I easily had 5 of them. Overall a good experience, and will probably come back again at a not so busy time!

I came here for the decor. :D The restaurant is decorated with anime prints and figurines. The environment is fun to dine in. With an all-you-can-eat prix fixe, you place your order through an iPad. As for the food, the sushi rice was too cold for my taste, and the pickled vegetables weren't the traditional ones found in Japan.

This a great all you can eat sushi spot in Montreal! Be warned there is usually a wait so come hungry but a bit patient. The sushi quality is solid and it's fun to order through the tablet at the table. The food comes quickly to your table once you're seated. The decor blew me away with its elaborately themed manga display and lanterns on the ceiling. It's a good value for the quantity of food you get and it's worth checking out if you're in the area

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We waited for about 30 minutes and finally received the text. We only got an hour to order for the buffet menu. We tried their ramen, nigir(very small)i, sashimi, skewers, appetizers and a ice cream. The food was mediocre. Some of my favorites include: salmon sashimi, fried scallops, chicken and beef skewers and matcha ice cream. Their nigiri were small and underwhelming. But for the price, this is somewhat acceptable.

Dragon Ball Z roll on left. It has actual whip cream on it! Tastes as bad as it looks. Goku would be sad.

Top 3 worst sushi I've ever had in my life. The rice was too wet. The pork and chicken was *boiled* - and it barely looked like actual meat. The special rolls were awful and designed without any thought - do the chefs even try their own creations? It was so bad I couldn't help but laugh. The only sushi worst then this is Costco. Ambience was nice and perfect for weebs, only reason I give 2 stars.

Nice decor, good service and easy way to order food. I loved the decor, and I had a great time looking at the figurines. Ordering food was super easy. We liked the fact that we could order directly from the tablet. The tablet was attached to the table and it didn't take space from the table, so we could order as many dishes as we wanted without lifting the tablet. Since we went for lunch, we were a bit disappointed that there wasn't as much variety as during dinner time. Sashimi pieces were super small (1/3 of what you could usually get at à la carte). We will maybe come back for dinner and hope that there will be more choices on the menu.

Very cool, instagrammable place or if you love anime is very unique. Very typical all you can eat, food was good nothing to complain. We got there around 4pm and service was fast at this time, then around 5pm started getting full and service was veryyy slow, that we stayed more than the usual for us. They made some mistakes in the order, bringing us things we already had ordered and eaten but nothing mayor. I wish they had more choices for desserts. Also they should pass a dust collector in all figurines, very cool concept just there's a lot of dust all around the decoration.

Once seated, things happen very quickly...it is go, go, go (in the best possible way.) We ordered appetizers first, the tempura green beans with a delicious truffle mayo, gyoza and the tofu salad (they make it fresh every Sunday). Green beans were everyone's fave, but I have to mention the (pickled?) vegetables on the salad. So flavourful! Also tried the egg drop soup which is so tasty. Mains were the salmon tuna bowl, the beef short ribs, the shrimp burger, and 48 hour pork with curry sauce. Everything was wonderful! Finished with their soft serve ice cream, I had the cherry blossom but one of us had the sake, which is a shot of sake poured on top. Amazing! You can even have wasabi or ginger... I'll try that next time (and there will be a next time soon!)

You can also order to go here I believe. They really operate efficiently, expect fast service! Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.

I wanted to share my experience because their online and in person menu is quite ambiguous and doesn't do justice in explaining their tasting menus. What I really like about this restaurant is that unlike many, they don't make everyone order the same thing. It just requires a minimum of 2 people for the tasting menu and everyone else can order what they please otherwise. The $55 tasting menu is pretty worth it imo. The fact that a drink alone is about $17 as is makes it worth, because it comes with multiple tapas and a drink of choice. The server tried his best to explain everything to us beforehand, but we couldn't help but start to worry during the meal when a few plates came out and we hadn't seen anything for a while. Basically, there are 3 courses, and each course contains multiple items which come out pretty quickly all at once. We started off with lighter apps like edamame, karaage, gyoza, and Japanese pasta. There will be a waiting period before the next course comes out (but don't panic like we did, it doesn't end here). The second course contained tuna poke, a vegetable dish, beef tataki, and takoyaki. There is another waiting period before the third (and heaviest) course comes out. We received pork ribs (a crowd favourite), salmon, and a watermelon salad to end. There were definitely more dishes that I'm forgetting but by the end of it we were all stuffed and pleasantly surprised with the variety we received and unanimously thought it was pretty worth. The restaurant environment is also such a vibe... just a great social setting overall. We had some people in our group that opted out of the tasting menu and decided to share à la carte style, and they also enjoyed their meal and thought it was worth it too. I'd highly recommend this spot as it was a highlight during our trip.

The presentation SAS a little different from other ones we've done - they did it as several courses - sashimi, nigiri, and rolls, followed by dessert. He checked in with the chef and came back with a good answer... He definitely added to our night. We highly recommend!

We showed up on time for our reservation. The restaurant is dark, and sleek looking, so it could be a place for dinner or for drinks at the bar. We browsed the menu, and decided to go light and ended up trying the the following: - Edamame (with Furakake): Good. Soy beans can only be so different between restaurants. I will note that some of the soy beans we got were the biggest I've even seen. Furakake added needed flavour. - Avocado Truffle Tacos: OK. Quite tiny, but well made and tasted good. I didn't get any hint of truffle though. - Wagyu Dumplings: Good. But similar to any good quality non-wagyu dumpling I've had before. Overpriced. - Paradise Maki: Good. I like the texture of the tempura. - White Dragon Maki: Very good. I think the ponzu sauce elevates this dish another level. Service was pretty standard. Did all the tight things, and timely, but not particularly friendly. Overall, it was an OK visit. Food overall was generally good quality, but very expensive for the quality and quantity you get. But I also recognize that sometimes you pay for ambiance, and you certainly do here.

I stopped by around 8:45 PM, 15 minutes before they closed, but the staff were so kind and lovely, let me dine in, gave me a free drink on the house, and even told me to take my time and not worry about closing. I ordered the spicy garlic pork ramen with thick noodles, and I was blown away with how flavorful the broth and QQ (chewy) the noodles were. I didn't like the pork that much and found it a bit tough and gamey, but they do have two other types of meat (chicken, beef) as well as a vegetarian option available, as well as seasonal menu specials. If I was at McGill, I'd probably visit this spot a bit too often LOL, and I highly recommend checking them out for their comforting ramen bowls and incredibly kind service!

However, no dipping sauce is provided, all other joints that I've been to will give you a mayo dipping sauce, not here. The Ramen - noodles were perfectly cooked, however honestly package ramen had a better flavor than their Original pork ramen unfortunately. I had expected this rich and creaminess of the pork broth, that was sticky-lipped intensifying, but it was not. This was disappointing and thus can only give 2 stars. I can't say for other noodle type, but original pork ramen needs a lot of work.
