Anaheim Packing House Districts was one of the first foodie courts that popped up in Orange County. When it first had it's grand opening, it was a gathering for many people like myself, but as the hype died down, the place started to attract returning customers. A lot of business left and new new ones eventually came in. It got revamped a couple of years back and now it's become a thriving destination for many tourists and locals. I brought my wife to show her Anaheim Packing District for the first time a while back. We went inside to look around on what will be our appetizer will be for the day. We walked by this spot and I knew I wanted to eat here because I was craving for a Beef Shawarma. I saw the ratings on Yelp but I didn't want that to sway me from ordering here since the ratings weren't great, but sadly enough, I should have listened to them. The shop didn't have anyone in line so we got to order right away. That should have been a red flag since it was a Sunday at 12pm and the entire place was packed except this shop. I really wanted to give them a chance to prove me wrong but I was pretty disappointed. I placed my order and it took about 7 minutes to get my order. When I had picked up my wrap and took a bit into it, it was a bit underwhelming. The beef wrap was bland and lack seasoning. The pickled veggies were a little too much since there wasn't a savory component to compensate for the tangy taste. It didn't have the garlic sauce and hummus ingredients that I was looking for. The side of fries was probably the only tasty thing that I had. You won this round my fellow Yelpers...I probably got the food on a bad day but it left a bad taste in my mouth. But luckily there's other options to choose from! read more

The food was amazing and the workers were great, my mom had of course 20 question about everything but she ended with the falafel plate and I have the plate with swarma chicken and gyro. Got the fries with chicken shawarma and gyro... it was basically fries with a sauce and meat. Wish there were some pickled onions or some kind of veggies on it. This was my first time trying Mangal. The customer service was great, from the cashier who offered good suggestions and the cooks who were gracious and made sure I had adequate sides and sauces. I ordered the combo plate which was good. The hummus and chicken were flavorful, the pita was warm and soft and the tzatziki was good. I wasn't the biggest fan of the dark meat though. Overpriced mediocrity. We ordered one chicken shawarma. It took 20 minutes to make, which makes sense if there were tons of people. But there was no one there... zero. Were they chasing down the chicken they had to kill? When it finally came, we thought they gave us the wrong order because the shawarma was the size of an egg roll - for over $12!!!! People, please spare yourself and your wallet from this place. I went Friday 4/15 and I was starving... I figured middle eastern food would nip that problem... it took 30 minutes for our food, which is typical for kabobs. Honestly, their picture on their menu look a lot bigger than what they serve and it's the biggest scam. Nothing was spectacular about this place. The 1 thing they got right was that I asked for my steak kabob medium and it was still pink inside. The side salad I got... was barely there... maybe the staff ate some of it? My husband got the gyro wrap and it was the saddest thing ever... it barely had any ingredients. The women that was prepping food had all of her hair in her face... which may explain why we have extremely small portions.... She couldn't see past her hair. I've been to the Anaheim packing house quite a few times and on a visit with my cousin I wanted to try something different. I have never had shawarma before so I got the chicken shawarma wrap combo. The employee at the cash register was ver nice. He gave me a free sample of their strawberry lemonade before I ordered which was really refreshing. I didn't have to wait too long for my food. I was sitting with my cousin at a table in Georgia's since she got food from there, which is right next to this place. My food came in a to go container, even though I never specified I wanted it to go, but it worked out in the end because I had some leftovers to take home. I ate some of the fries first and they were super crispy even though they were pretty thick. I really liked the seasoning on the fries as it added an acidic taste to an otherwise rich starch. The wrap was really tasty. The chicken had some great seasoning on it and the pita wrap was thin but had a good bite. I don't really like pickles but the pickles in this wrap went really well with the chicken and other fresh veggies. It was a really good lunch and I'll probably come here again the next time I go to the packing house. read more

I would give it a 3.5. Solid food but not outstanding. Kibbeh - fried, beef. Could have used a little more cracked wheat. Grape leaves were a little too citrusy and were quite mushy inside. I had the gryo, and my wife had the chicken skewer. Both were great. Chicken breast was moist and gyro was seasone perfectly.

The chicken was dry, the gyro my girlfriend got was good though. Falafels were pretty good even though I've never been a big fan of chickpeas due to lack of flavor, but this was decent when I had it dipping it in the hummus. Overall a good evening out at the packing house with friends. read more

The menu states that it's a falafel pita with tahini, lettuce & tomato. -Waited 15 minutes only to receive smashed falafel rolled in pita bread with nothing else. Note: not the size of a typical sandwich/wrap, but the size of a Taco Bell Meximelt I went back and asked them about the rest of the sandwich, the cashier added a few pickles and said and they don't have any chopped lettuce/tomato ready. So yummy i started eating before i could get a picture! The rice was the best rice i have ever had, it had a mild flavor with an amazing seasoning on top that top it to the next level. The chicken was perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful and I enjoy how they take the skewer out for you. Their hummus is made fresh daily and the employee was able to list off the ingredients to me so it seems their food is very fresh and not pre made. Their baklava was also amazing, the chocolate was my favorite it's very unique. The cashier was super friendly and so was the manager/owner. Pretty legit spot! My wife and I share a chicken shawarma wrap combo and we were surprised with the size! It was cut in half and it was still a huge split between the two of us. It was served with yummy garlic sauce, pickled veggies, and delicious chicken shawarma. Yum! They are located on the top floor of the Anaheim Packing House. Their seating is exclusive to them, so you don't have to spend time trying to find a seat amongst the masses. We enjoyed our chicken shawarma combo; it was a good size to split between us.
