    Lamb Kabsa

Absolutely scrumptious middle eastern food. We got a meal catered to work and the quality and freshness of the ingredients spoke volumes about this establishment. The cheese sticks were crisp and scrumptious, the lamb was tender, and the rice was very flavorful. The nuts add a good contrast to the rice dishes as well. My favorite were the chicken kabobs which were super juicy and flavorful. Highly recommend you try this restaurant.

Let's just get right down to it. Get the 3 dip sampler. It comes with hummus, mutabbal (eggplant), and muhammara (Aleppo peppers with walnuts) which aren't like any you've tasted before. This is not your standard one dimensional pasty hummus. Mutabbal is usually my favorite dip and Aleppo hits it right out of the park. Muhammara - wow, how have I not had this before? The smokiness, the walnuts, it was perfect dipping with the (very hot) pita. Dare I say this was my favorite of the three? For proteins, we had the 3 kebab combo (chicken, filet mignon, and kefta) - again, all grilled to perfection, succulent, juicy, and so flavorful. Slather garlic sauce over everything! Our other protein was the mansaf. The lamb was fall of the bone and tender. The almonds give a nice crunch to each bite and the yogurt sauce was a perfect accompaniment. Ask for the green drink, perfect for cooling down in a warm day. Servers are super attentive and always checking in. Come hungry!

Aleppo's Kitchen is by far my favorite Mediterranean restaurant now. The food was so good! Loved everything. I truly wish the portions were just a tad bigger because it was just so delicious and I wish my plate had more! lol. The customer service was EXCELLENT. Our server was so sweet and kind. I was so happy with how respectful and attentive she was the whole time. Thank you so much for the amazing customer service. Ambiance was calm and family oriented. The seating arrangement was comfortable and perfect. Overall, this place is a 10/10. My only complaint is that a $33 kabob platter should have a larger portion of rice, salad, and meat. Iv been to many Mediterranean restaurants and portions do vary but this one was a bit on the smaller side. Like Panini Kabob for example gives great portions at a good price and the taste is great there too. Thats the one and only thing I would say should be updated. However, they have great tasting food and I will definitely come back!

Had a family lunch and was able to make a reservation during busy weekend which was a big plus in choosing to come. It has a bright ambiance and welcoming staff. I believe this is Syrian cuisine so some of the menu items I was a bit unfamiliar with when comparing usual Mediterranean restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was quite a large portion. I got the kefta kabobs with a spicy tomato salsa like sauce. It came with 4 kebabs so I had leftovers for the next day. Most places usually give 2. It also came with an interesting flatbread pizza sandwich thing on the side. I also discovered how delicious Muhammara is. It's a dip that's made with walnuts and pomegranate molasses. Highly recommend trying this if you want something different than hummus for a starter.

The shawarma combo plate was delicious - both the chicken and the beef were flavorful and tender! The salad was light and refreshing. The rice was nicely cooked and fluffy. The hummus and garlic sauce were excellent. Friendly service, nice space.

TO GO REVIEW Take a look at my picture and you'll understand. What I ordered, the $27 ribeye wrap, does not reflect the value of what I received. It was a plate of French fries, a few pieces of greens, and a thin wrap with small cuts of beef. This place is overpriced for what I received and I would not come back.

Hard to believe that I've not written a review of Aleppo's Kitchen which I have been visiting ever since I move here to Anaheim and when they still were on Brookehurst Ave. Fast forward the restaurant is now within minutes from my place and it is very nice and clean and modern. For my lunch I ended up getting the Lentil Soup ( which I love) and the Gyro Flatbread. The Flatbread was ok but not great and I wish I would have ordered something different instead. On the other side the service was nice and friendly and I definitely will be back! Bon Appetit.

I really enjoyed this place ! I've been twice now. I found it through searching yelp near me. This area is rich with restaurants but I was so happy I chose this place out of all the options. Excellent place to get tasty food. Everything I've tried here has been super delicious! First thing I noticed walking in was how clean it was . Spotless. The place is well taken care of which shows that the owners and staff have pride in their establishment.service is excellent . Overall a great place to dine in. I highly recommend.

I received a 15% off ticket when I parked for an Angels game. Aleppo's Kitchen shares the same parking lot. I finally got a chance to use it for my birthday. I ordered the kebab plate that came with chicken, fillet mignon, and the ground beef skewer. My wife got the lamb shank. When the dishes arrived, I immediately tried the rice and it didn't have any flavor the same with the meats. Only the chicken tasted delicious. My wife's said the filet mignon was too hard to chew the lamb was cooked nicely, though I had higher expectations, and the meals were priced high. She doesn't want to come back.

Food tastes great. Service was pretty good and the ambiance was nice. Mixed plate is the way to go if you want to try a solid variety.

Never am I going to come to this place again For the price we paid the portions were tiny The food was stale and badly prepared The pita was store bought so stale and dry We ordered their kibbeh platter for appetizers.. it has such a potent meat smell like omg it grossed me out The shawarma combo which the hostess recommended was soooo dry and flavorless And lastly their mix kabab platter omg the least said the better the meat kabab was raw and undercooked although we said medium rare and that scent of meat like omg We told her to take it back instead of getting a fresh plate they brought the same platter back.. their only charging for their ambiance Never going back

We are blessed with a lot of excellent Arab restaurants in Anaheim and glad I finally gave Aleppo's a try. Stand outs were the Syrian style dumplings in yogurt sauce, lahmajeen flatbread, grape leaves and grilled halloumi salad. Kibbeh was also good but probably don't need the mixed platter as they are just different shapes of the same thing. Also didn't really care for their falafel. And don't skip the pot of mint tea! Service was friendly and the restaurant is inviting with plenty of seating. A little on the pricier side for the style of food, but they have several unique items on the menu and there are still a few I need to come back to try!

Aleppo's had great reviews, so we knew we had to try it. We added a couple platters so we could get a better feel for the place. It's also a hookah lounge, which I'm sure gets super busy at night. The Lamb Mansaf was good, but honestly, the portion was smaller than expected -- kinda weird because "Mansaf" in Arabic means a big dish. The dish should've been bigger; I felt like it needed more rice. That said, the almonds added a nice crunch, and it was packed with warm spices like cardamom, allspice, and cinnamon. We also ordered a variety of meats with rice to sample different dishes. The chicken and steak were fire, but the kofta needed some work. The rice was also smaller than I expected. Overall, a solid spot with tasty food, great service and chill atmosphere! Just wish the portions were a bit bigger!

Premium combo = entree + $10 Entree + premium drink + masala fries I tried the bowl with mild biryani, malai chicken, green (mild) sauce, and guava mango lassi. The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! Could be a little less salty. Gulab jamun cheesecake Also asked for recommendations for their cheesecakes and decided to go with this one. It has the fried donut ball in the middle with syrup. It didn't taste too sweet to me, but I also have higher tolerance for sweets. The center has so much of the cheesecake cheese and it was super soft and fluffy. So delicious! The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. There was enough parking. The staff members are so helpful and very friendly. Can order with a staff member or using their kiosk. HIGHLY recommend!! Would definitely go back!

From the jump, my friends and I felt so welcome, all thanks to our man Jake, who so attentively took our order. This man was such a vibe and provided top-tier customer service in spite of being short staffed. He always had a smile on this face and handled everything so well, especially the 11pm rush that came shortly after we ordered. I can write so much more about him, but he honestly set the stage for what I think of the best dining establishments I've ever been to. Shoutout Jake! The food? No notes. It was tasty, scrumptious, divine, exquisite, all of the above. That food was made with love and care -- shoutout to the kitchen staff! I got the crispy chicken sandwich and woah, what a revelation! Eggplant on the sandwich? Such a game changer, like some next level stuff here honestly. My friend got a burger and oh my god, I only had one bite, but it was honest to god one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. My other friends got chicken tenders. Tender doesn't just describe the chicken but also the souls who prepared and served this amazing platter. They honestly put every other chicken tender I've had to shame, I'm afraid I won't ever have another chicken tender without comparing it to YoYos. Sides were scrumptious and the sauces that came with them were so good too. I don't know how they did it, but the soft drinks had something special too. Nothing disappointed, I'm telling you! I wish I took more photos of the food but it was just so good that I didn't have time for that. I had such an emotional experience eating here, and I wasn't under the influence or anything -- it was just that good! I could preach to the choir and write a whole song (maybe album) about how amazing my experience was here. It was so magical, I nearly cried thinking about how lucky I was to eat here and break bread with friends. I live in west LA and I would honestly drive however long it takes, even in traffic, just to eat here again. It was simply that good. It's one of those places that you just can't gatekeep because I honestly think a visit here would heal so many traumas and bad days. This was the perfect end to a day with friends, and I will be coming back sometime soon. You will not regret coming here, I guarantee it! If you do, I just think you're lying for clout because I firmly believe this place could not disappoint anyone! P.S. just in case I didn't highlight Jake enough, I need everyone to know that he is the man! The experience would be nothing if it weren't for him. P.S. again: if I were on death row or another situation with a "last meal" type of arrangement, YoYos would need to be a part of that final meal so that I could die so happy and enlightened

Me and…read moremy friend are not lamb fans and was a bit hesitant on ordering the food so we did hold off on ordering for ourselves. And said we decided to share and eat off of my two brothers plate before we decided to consider coming back or eating more. There was only one worker that was working at the time, but she did a phenomenal job, considering she was holding down the fort for the restaurant by herself. She also mentioned she doesn't like lamb, but she would eat the one here herself so it gave me a pretty good first impression thus far. We ordered the lamb skewers, grilled rib, shank over rice, homemade yogurt, and Cole slaw. Lamb Skewers - 4.5/5 the portion was very generous! $15 for 3 large skewers that was about 1.25 ft length each. Was perfectly grilled and did not taste gamey at all. I believe it was Szechuan pepper that seasoned the skewers. I didn't eat enough to recognize if there was any numbing, but the bite that I took was amazing. Outside was crunchy inside was chewy enough to enjoy, but not tough. Grilled rib - 5/5 I was very pleasantly surprised at how although it was very charred and crunchy in the outside that the inside was very soft and fatty. The meat literally fell off the bone. Again, no gaminess and very pleasant to enjoy. Shank - 5/5 I would have to say that this was the hero of the evening from all the dishes we ordered. The meat was extremely soft, fatty, and literally fell off the bone as I was holding it up. It was very similar to pork flavor and extremely enjoyable for me. On a separate note, I enjoyed that so much but because I had already eaten before this dinner, I came back a separate day to have that dish for myself. The rice seems to be cooked in some type of protein broth and if I had to guess it's probably lamb broth along with carrot. It also came with size of pickled items to lighten the fatness from the meat as well as a small bowl of lamb based soup. Homemade yogurt - 4/5 had a slight tartness to it and light sweetness, but was more leaning towards the sweet side of things. I enjoyed it with the dried raisins and the granola for texture and it was a pretty good ending to the entire meal. Coleslaw - 3/5 it tasted average and didn't seem to be anything special. Though it was good to have it along with all the other protein items to lighten up each bite.

The generous portions resulted in a second meal for me! On a Tuesday night, this place was quite packed with friends and families. It seems like wonderful place to host parties or business meetings. Someone nearby us had a birthday, and a group of staff came out with a dessert, blasting a traditional birthday song over the speakers and encouraged the whole restaurant to clap along!
