It's more than a treat to dine at LAZEEZ EATS! This beautiful establishment sits on the corner before heading into the parking structure at the City of Anaheim. Soon as I stepped inside, I'm greeted by the amazing owner Abdul who I can tell loves people and serving. This always is a plus in my book, because that tells me the food is even better. Guess what? I was absolutely correct. The food was phenomenally delicious. I ordered the burger with fries. I know you're thinking, a burger and fries? You can get that anywhere. And you're right I could, but it wouldn't come close to this magnificent burger. The size of the meat is big and thick , the tender and juiciness of the meat had me star struck at every bite. The meat is hallah and if you don't know what that means, look it up. All I can say is, from start to finish on how this beef is prepared is pretty much sacred. The burger comes topped with grilled onions, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and a secret sauce. Truly it was the best burger I have had. The fries were great as well, light crispy and beautifully plated. I savored every last bite. Abdul is truly one of a kind and makes you feel like family. He takes pride in his establishment, and it truly shows in his food. I want to give this place another try. I love Mediterranean food and typically enjoy everything. I'm honestly on the fence because my chicken kebab was tasty and service was super friendly, but I also think my stomach had a hard time with digesting something I ate. The salad dressing was very bitter and sour and I reeked of garlic the next day. So I will have to update this review after trying it again, but I will say my initial impression of this place is a 7.5/10 bc the chicken was flavorful and the hummus was good. I came here for lunch with my friend, and overall we had a pretty good experience. Upon entering, I was not greeted while waiting for my friend. A few minutes later as I sat down they did acknowledge me. It's a casual spot where you order first and then pick a table. They have a few inside and outside. They bring the food out to you once it's ready. One thing I didn't love was that a group that came in after us got their drinks and food first. They even gave my drink to their group by mistake, but they brought it over once I mentioned it. Despite that, the workers were friendly. I ordered the chicken kebab plate and the cucumber mint mocktail mojito, and both were tasty with good portions. My friend and I also tried the baklava, which was good. Prices felt fair for what you get. I'd probably give this place 4.5 stars, but I'll round up to 5 because the food was solid and ambience was pleasant. It smells amazing in here! We were in dtwn Anaheim for the Halloween parade and were drawn to Lazeez and their $5 beer sign haha. My girlies got a couple of the $5 beers on tap and we also got the fries which were an entire to go container filled with fries for $6. The perfect easy snack to enjoy while watching the parade. They have a big menu that's veggie friendly and option to order at the counter or on the screens- very efficient! And additional charge for fries to make it into a combo. However, I understand the hustle in this economy that one has to make though. The foods were cooked in house once you place your order in, so if there was a rush expect there to be a delay. The burger I ordered, I got with no cheese. The patty didn't have any seasoning nor was there sauces in the burger. The Tzatziki and Garlic Sauce always hit the spot with my Gyro. I love the Gyro Plate as it comes with a nice, soft and fluffy wild rice and fresh salad. The customer service here is amazing! I've ordered lunch from here a few times myself, and the company I work at has ordered from here for large parties. The price is great as they give large quantities. Not only has the food been delicious each time, the staff has gone above and beyond! I wish I didn't have to write a review like this because the food here is actually very good. I want people who come eat here to know how unprofessional the staff is here, particularly the cooks. I came to eat here with my girlfriend and family, we ordered and everything was fine. My girlfriend particularly likes fountain sodas as opposed to canned or bottled and when we found out they didn't have fountain drinks, we bought a drink from another restaurant nearby. An important detail is that my family and I are Hispanic including my girlfriend who might not look it. Without realizing that my girlfriend spoke Spanish, the cooks proceeded to call my girlfriend poor for not buying one of their drinks and commented on how she must be "special" for not liking canned or bottled sodas. They continued to call her poor over and over again saying that if she didn't have money for a drink, she shouldn't have come to eat out at a restaurant. These disrespectful cowards wouldn't say any of this to our faces and hid behind the fact that they thought my girlfriend didn't know Spanish. I would never bring my money to a business full of people who are so sensitive they would get upset over a drink and lash out at customers. read more
