They have provided this first time mom more comfort knowing we are in reliable good hands. They have not only been extra attentive to this inexperienced first time mom but have given extra valuable advice to raise a healthy, good eater and happy baby. It is invaluable to know you are able to reach Dr. Liu off hours and to receive immediate responses to emails. Dr. Davari is also amazing!! Thank you for being you, for being thorough, for being considerate to your current clients, making sure we are seen at the appointment time, allowing us to do walk-ins and truly caring for our daughter's well being. Big fan of both Dr. Liu and also Dr. Davari. My only comment is that the doctors tend to be so thorough that we are often waiting quite some time either before our appointment or during the room waiting for the doctor. Dr. Liu is our primary doctor but we have seen Dr. Davari for last minute visits due to unexpected illness. Dr. Liu has always been very thorough and conservative in care. She would rather be safe than sorry. After each birth she makes it a point to check in with me as the mom and offer advice and always takes time to answer ask our questions. Dr. Davari has always been very comforting and reassuring each time I have spoken with him on the phone and also when we saw him in person. I feel good knowing that I trust with doctor with the care of my children. I am also very grateful for their after hours answering service. For emergencies they can take messages and forwardd them to the doctor that is on call. This is such a reassuring service! read more

Had a great experience with Dr. Davari. He noticed that my newborn sons jaundice level was higher than expected which another pediatrician had cleared and told us it was nothing to worry about He got us tested and administered to one of the best hospitals in the south bay area, Torrance Memorial the same exact day. The tests showed that his levels were escalating to nearly dangerous levels. Thankfully due to Dr. Davari's fast acting, after 2 days of treatment my son was doing great and had a clean bill of health. We had our follow up appointment a few days later and he was able to address all of our concerns and questions. We currently have a wonderful pediatrician located in Beverly Hills, but now that we have moved to Manhattan Beach we wanted to find someone local. I called to make an appointment for our 3 year old son with Dr Davari since he is showing signs of a cold. The woman who answered the phone said they don't do one time appointments. I told her this wouldn't be a one time appointment as we would like Dr. Davari to become his regular doctor. She asked how old my son is and if we have any other children. I told her he's 3 and I just gave birth and have a week and a half old baby. She said we would have to move both kids over to Dr Davari in order for him to accept us. I said we would like to meet him first and make an appointment for our son to ensure we feel comfortable before moving everything over. She refused, and said they will not take us unless we move both children over. I was very taken aback by this interaction and policy. I will not move my kids from the doctor we have currently before we at least meet the new doctor. That sounds crazy to me. Does anyone do that!? After reading the other good reviews, I was very excited to find someone local that we could trust so this interaction was very upsetting. read more

Once again I'm giving Dr. Davari 5 stars because he is incredible!!!! We moved for 2 years to D.C. and had to leave Dr. Davari but now we are back. Thank goodness because having a good pediatrician like Dr. Davari is very hard to find! We never found anyone even close to him. He is one in a million. Since moving back only a week ago I've already had a child to bring him with an ear infection that an urgent care the night before missed, a call for another child with a fever, and an email about our son. Dr. Davari called us within 2 minutes to address my concern on a Saturday night, and then returned my e-mail for a completely different concern 5 min after that call. He is so thorough and caring with each of our 3 children. He's highly responsive, so smart, so reassuring of any doubts or concerns and he will be our doctor until my kids are too old. Having good care puts anyone's mind at ease especially a mother of 3 like me !!!! read more

We love Dr Davari! He's very attentive, patient, informative. Always available. I remember when my daughter was an infant and she was projectile vomiting after office hours, I wrote him an email and he called back within the hour. He asked questions and gave me suggestions on what to do. As a first time mom, having him available at a moment like that was priceless. We unfortunately had to switch pediatricians recently because of insurance changes. I was extremely sad to leave this office. All the staff is extremely friendly; from the front office girls, to the nurses, to both Dr Vivian and Dr Davari. As much as I love our new pediatrician's caring personality, nothing compares to Dr Davari. He explained at each well visit what I should expect in the coming months as far as physical and emotional growth. Dr. Davari is such an amazing pediatrician! He seems to truly care about his patients and goes the extra mile to follow up, even after hours or on weekends. For example, when my infant (some health issues in the first two months of life) had to get a lab test done at a hospital right before lab closing hours, Dr. Davari called the lab (at 7pm) to make sure we were able to get the test done. When my baby got admitted to a hospital at 9 p.m., he called to check in with us and to see if we had any questions or concerns even though technically our baby was being cared for by the hospital physician. I've emailed him at 10pm on a Friday night and gotten a call back - after not expecting a response until Monday. Not only that but he was absolutely wonderful in regular check up visits, took the time to discuss baby development, as well as address any concerns or questions we had as new parents. We have since moved and really miss Dr. Davari. Our new pediatrician can't compare. We also saw Dr. Liu a couple of times for last-minute appointments and she was really fantastic as well. read more

Dr. Vinzon is fantastic. She always wears a smile. She is professional, courteous, patient and most of all clinically competent. The office staff was professional and efficient. Dr. Davari was fine on all three occasions, but I wasn't impressed. I had to ask him to look in my sons ears at his 2 month visit, and I think it offended him. Whatever, I'm a RN myself and I know what an exam should consist of, and if I forgot something I would appreciate the reminder. I did appreciate that they have a RN on staff who administered my sons immunizations. The main reason for my 1 star review is the office staff. I called to make my sons 6 month check up appointment, I couldn't remember if I had made it on my way out of his 4 month or if I had rushed out and forgotten. I was informed by the woman on the phone that I "needed to make his appointment ahead of time" and that I had "waited until the last minute the last time too." I was absolutely flabbergasted! I had scheduled his 2 month at 1 month of age when I decided to move from his pediatrician in Beverly Hills (who we saw in the hospital as I delivered at Cedars). At his 2 month, I scheduled his 4 month appointment. About a week before his 4 month appointment I called to see if they had a same day appointment available because I was worried he had an ear infection. I took him in for the same day appointment where Dr. Davari saw us for about 4 minutes and laughed and told me "he's just acting like a baby." (whatever). So I said to the woman "Noooo....I made his 4 month at his 2 month appointment." To which she replied "No you didn't. I see a same day override here. You really need to plan better." I replied "No. I brought him in for a same day appointment because I was worried he had an ear infection. That could be what you are seeing." She just responded "Oh." No sorry, no my mistake. Just berating a new mom unnecessarily and then no apology. Totally uncalled for and hostile! I am always pleasant to them (like I said, I'm a RN myself, so I don't enjoy ball busting fellow healthcare professionals) I pay my copay, I have good PPO insurance, I don't come in constantly, there just really is no reason to be so hostile and rude toward a parent. I called them to cancel his next appointment and the same unprofessional/hostile woman started to lecture me again. I responded with a simple "we've switched pediatricians! Thank you!!" We love Manhattan Beach Pediatrics! Dr. Devari has been a great pediatrician! He is very fun, friendly, intelligent and caring. He takes the time to listen to our concerns and answer all of our questions. Our kids are always excited to go to the doctor! We recently went to see Dr. Liu for an emergency exam for my daughter. The receptionist was very helpful fitting us into the schedule. I was very impressed with Dr. Liu, she was great with my sick grumpy daughter and very calm and reassuring to a dressed out mom! Very rude and cold customer service. I called in November to schedule an appointment. The receptionist told me to call back in January. I was under the impression that they where not scheduling new patients because of the holidays. So l called again only to be told they are not taking new patients. I would have appreciated being told that back in November instead of making me wait. I LOVE Dr. Davari. Went to him for three and a half years - however - my issue with the office policies. To have preschool forms completed, to have medical records sent, to cancel an appointment last minute if your kid is no longer sick and so on. Dr. Amin Davari is a great board certified pediatrician! I noticed something about my daughter over the weekend and I called Dr. Davari over the phone and he was quick to call me back. He answered all of my questions over the phone even though I was out of state and this was not the first time that he had done this for us. If you're in the South Bay, Dr Davari is incredible! He is pediatrician to our two little girls and we are so thankful to have found him. Having babies (especially as first time parents) is nerve wracking and he has a way of making us always feel calm and confident. He's so knowledgeable and has a great demeanor. Our one daughter got croup and it came about in the middle of the night on a weekend. We called the emergency line and Dr Davari was so kind, patient and helpful, even at 2am. The next day he called us twice to check in. A sign of a Dr who really cares about his patients. He's also given us such great advice on less serious, but important issues like sleep schedules. He always spends so much time with us and answers every question we have. I never feel rushed and really appreciate all the time he gives. I can't say enough positive things about him! This review is NOT about the doctors, but the practice and their front desk personnel. We are new to the area and looking to find a new pediatrician for my son, I called up the office last week. Though it was a Monday, the lady who answered the phone was impatient from the first moment and sounded like she had enough of her week already. When she asked how old my son was and I answered that he was 15 years old, she got even more curt, saying that the doctors are not taking patients over 6 years old. "Why is that?" I asked. We moved just a bit South from L.A. and I know most practices see children until they're 18, and some will attend to them up to age 21, so this was strange... "They just don't." she said, ready to hang up the phone. Wow! Really?! It's one thing to discriminate based on age -- perhaps because you want to have your clients have long enough "lifetime value" or something?! -- but at least don't be rude about it. I was really disappointed and after reading all the positive reviews this was a shocker. In addition to cherry-picking your clients, it's sad when doctors are represented by unkind and unprofessional staff. First impressions matter A LOT! read more

When I see other reviews of anything less than 5 stars and I read them, it's absolutely shocking to me. My two kids are resilient because of Dr Liu and Dr. D. The amount of love, care and attention they get every single time is overwhelming and this has been happening consistently for the last 10 years. They are the bar in the medical profession and it's refreshing, considering that most practices have sold their business or soul in the pursuit of money. I wish I could go back to being a kid, just to be seen by them. Nurse Carmen and the entire staff as well are so attentive and respectful. I will request the medical licensing board if they could let Dr. Liu and Dr. D see my children into adulthood!!! If there was a way to give them 100 stars...I would! An amazing practice with amazing dr's, nurses and staff. Since my son could talk, he asks to see Dr. Davari when he's not feeling well. He loves his pediatrician, as do I! Dr. Davari has always had the perfect bedside manner with my son, he's built a trusting relationship with him. I've always felt my questions are answered thoroughly, I never feel rushed, I'm given appointments when we need to be seen and he's even been available to us on the weekends (via email and telephone). Dr Davari is the best pediatrician. He is attentive, thorough, clearly loves our kids and even though their office is not going to be carrying our kids ins we are purposefully switching their insurance to another plan so we can keep him. He's called back during the super bowl, emailed back after hours and the office always gets us in the day our kids are sick, even if it's a 5:00 appt after his last appt of the day.
