Had found out my go to smoothie bowl place in Montclair is closed on Mondays & rather the chain açaí bowl place nearby, I decided to try this place. But it didn't even have "açaí bowl" on the menu, just protein smoothies & juices... there was only a picture of an açaí bowl taped to the glass. I asked to clarify which they did & was looking for the choice of toppings but saw only a freezer of fruits. I waited a while watching Golden Girls which helped pass the time, wondering when she'd ask me what toppings I wanted... and it turns out there's no choices but their standard granola, banana, coconut, strawberry & honey toppings. It was almost $12. The açaí was good however, I would have appreciated if I wanted GF granola or different fruits... So this wouldn't be my place to go for smoothie bowls. But they have healthy options which is great! Parking can be tough since it's street only & can get busy. Clean inside but empty this late morning. Just me & another customer. I ordered the Empire State juice. The person behind the counter was really nice and my drink came out with a great time. The store was overpriced but the juice was delicious. Starbucks costs way less for a small coffee than they do for a small juice and Starbucks is expensive. I also noticed that although the mask mandate was lifted they don't reinforce social distancing or playing it safe. I don't really know if I'll come back but I'll need to find a nice coffee place that's open in the morning. read more

I enjoy this little cafe often for fresh pressed juices and smoothies. I love that they have vegan protein options. My absolute favorite is Brooklyn Nets smoothie. I also love the wheatgrass, lemon, ginger shot. A perfect treat on a hot day for sure! read more

This review is just based on the drinks. Came here with a friend late afternoon after a yoga class and we wanted something healthy. We ordered the Red Light drink (apples, beats, carrots and spinach) and it was very delicious!! It was kind of pricey though but that's expected for anything healthy right? It was $5.89+tax for a 16 oz but it was worth it! The staff is very nice and the guy let my friend add ginger to her drink with no extra charge :) I would definitely come back. You can also get you standard variety of coffees there. Now if you're someone who needs their latte or cappuccino made with milk other than soy or cows milk, go to Manhattan. The make a fabulous almond milk cappuccino. The good there ranges from pre-made snacks for vegans and non vegans such a protein bars and chips, to homemade salads made to order, to their addictive peanut butter energy balls, to their oh so popular quinoa bowl. The food has a Mediterranean/Turkish twist to it which you would NEVER know from the name. All of the food there is quiet delicious. The only downside to going to Manhattan is the pace in which drinks/food are prepared. SO SLOW. if you are in a rush be mindful you will be made to wait for you order. If you have a leisure time frame, you're good to go! Prices are on the more expensive side, but comparable to other cafes in Montclair. First off, let me say the food here was delicious. I was apprehensive at first to try the Thai Chicken wrap because I thought it'd be spicy-- but it wasn't ! So, in food, I had the Thai Chicken Salad Wrap which has peanut butter, soy marinated chicken breast, carrots, red onion, mayonnaise, mixed green, fresh cilantro along with the Orange Cleanse which contains carrots, apples, ginger, lemon, and an orange. It was bomb-- or in better terms, amazing. I still think about it days later. The space was ample size. Although small enough to fit enough chairs and lounge chairs for a cafe, I felt it could use more decoration. Other than the red mini-staircase, maybe more red would flatter the design. The service was nice! The two gentlemen that were working were helpful and attentive. I went with my girlfriend and they were suggestive, especially the cashier who hooked me up with a sample of their Lentil Soup of the day. Customers behind me seemed pleased with their orders, so this establishment definitely aims to please. In all, you must try it. It's on more of a quieter street in comparison to its other side, but it doesn't disappoint. Food is fresh, service is nice, and parking is convenient as it's next door. I got a juice with carrot apple ginger orange and lime. They did not peel the carrots before juicing, which allows dirt, bacteria, and pesticides in the juice. Also, they did not peel the sticker off the apples and juiced the whole thing with the sticker included. The good news was that they didnt use ice which dilutes the flavor and gives less juice. Often, they play beautiful Egyptian music and the people here are really lovely. Ordered a wrap and told the female who answered the phone exactly what I want on the wrap, looked at it and noticed avocados on it which I'm allergic to, when I returned it she said "Well that's how it comes" so I'm not changing it. The whole time she's on her cell phone... I said well just give me money back.. she said she can't.. if you're allergic it's not my fault. So then the owner comes from the back and starts arguing with me about not making a new wrap void of avocados... a few patrons jumped to my defense and said well if he's allergic fix a new wrap or give him his money back.
