Grilled Chicken, Avocado, Tomato, and Fetta Sandwich
    Daniel R.

Haven't been in a while so decided to order lunch while we were home working and schooling virtual. I've been over the years and don't remember Bonjour blowing me away, but I do enjoy their coffee. Lunch wasn't anything spectacular, some of the comments were "too much bread for my turkey sandwich" and "the mozzarella wasn't that good." The Grilled Chicken sandwich gained good reviews and the salads were a plus. Overall, on the average, but I'm sure I'll continue to pop in for a cup of coffee or whatever.

Very quick and filling! Definitely recommend this place! So many options to choose from and they even have a gluten-free crepe option. We ordered the Portobello mushroom, spinach, feta, and onion crepe that I added prosciutto to and a Fresh strawberry nutella crepe. Overall, it was very enjoyable and I will definitely be back!

I like big crepes and I cannot lie . We tried to order from our usual place (Le Petit Parisian) and found out that they took all the crepes off the menu. The horror. So we drove to the next option, Bonjour! This place is small but they have additional outdoor seating. It's casual so service wasn't like a sit down restaurant. We ordered dessert crepes and they were huge! Way bigger than le petit. All of us were full but had to force ourselves to finish because the crepes were so delicious. I ordered the banana, strawberry and Nutella crepe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Super good and super cheap! Highly recommend!

Crepes are truly one of the best in NJ. Decent coffee also and fresh croissants. Shop is very tight inside and has some musty smell, luckily there was couple of tables outside where we could enjoy our breakfast. Good to drop by or order to go, allow some wait time.

I ordered breakfast for pick up the other day from here. There is street metered parking available in front of the restaurant. I ordered 2 crepes for my boyfriend and I to try. I ordered the smoked salmon crepe with goat cheese, tomato, pesto and the morning crepe with feta and tomato. I didn't enjoy them as much as I would have liked to cause the cheese overpowered the crepe in both for me. It just tasted way too salty, partially my fault for going with those cheeses. Maybe next time I'll go for different cheeses. Without the goat cheese in the salmon crepe, it tasted delicious. And the portions are big.

Bonjour Montclair is my #1 go to place for Outstanding Authentic Crepes! The crêperie is small with wooden tables inside. However, Great things do come in small packages. Some Parisian Style Pictures adorn the cafe. One picture cites the top places to see in Paris. You order at the counter, Counter service is very friendly. Should you decide to stay, a server will bring you the food on a platter whether your sitting inside or outside of the café. My favorite Crepe has Grilled Chicken, Brie,Tomatoes and Pinenuts. I must have Brie Cheese in all of my crepes :). Have to say all the crepe combinations are very good. IMPORTANT NOTE: Bonjour Montclair definitely does not skimp on any ingredients in their crepes. You get what you order and PLENTY of it. All the crepes come with a small side salad and a slice of a fruit in season. My past slices of fruits have been fresh watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe. Delicious fresh and refreshing juices are available. Two of the juices I've had are (1) Cucumber and (2) a Combination Carrot and Ginger Juice. Cappuccino, Expresso and many teas are available too! A few Bonjour Montclair extras: -Outdoor Seating is available. -No credit cards accepted. -Open 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM. -Non metered and metered parking are available on the street. A small metered parking lot is within walking distance. Truly hope everyone comes out to try a fresh and delicious crepe. You definitely won't regret it. :)

Fresh squeeze OJ. $4.75 for a large but this did not feel like a large.

The specials menu could have been the full menu in itself! The cocktail menu also had a lot of good options; had a hard time choosing. We started with a Shirley temple, thyme out and calamari. She had the pesto bucatini with an added burrata and I had the truffle tagliatelle from the specials menu. The thyme hot cocktail was delicious. We also got complimentary bread and marinara. The bread was soft and tasty. The calamari was light and ok. My date enjoyed her pasta; said she always gets it when she comes here. My tagliatelle pasta was DELICIOUS. The restaurant is cute and all the staff are so nice. Plenty of parking but unfortunately it's paid parking (not a deal breaker though!) This one pound mozzarella stick definitely fulfilled that criteria. It was so gigantic it was almost like getting a workout in just to lift it. The outside was heavily breaded with bread crumbs and the top was sprinkled with parmesan cheese and chopped scallions. Even the dipping cup was supersized to accommodate the diameter of the stick! Typically, I would have posted until after my I finished my oversized food compilation project. However, it's being posted early because The Brookdale is permanently closing its doors. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

It's already a bit inconvenient to come up with a dish on the spot, but to go the extra mile by caring that it would be satisfying as a main dish was really very kind. And it turned out fantastic. This restaurant has so much going for it in the quality of its ingredients and dish compositions. I would encourage the chef to consider how the can apply their creativity to a dedicated vegan dish as well. They do have coffee so that's a plus. And the coffee is made with a French press. Very tasty. They have a good menu. Something for everyone. We started off with the guacamole app and clam chowder. The guacamole is plentiful and tasty. Also the salsa was delish too. My table patrons didn't like the clam chowder. They said it was too salty. For the mains we ordered the roasted chicken, hot chicken sandwich and the Cajun seafood alfredo The Hot chicken was divine and huge. You won't be disappointed with that one. Good amount of spice. The roasted chicken was lemon rosemary jus was delicious as well. I ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. As soon as I received my dish I asked the waitress where the sausage was, she couldn't answer but went to get her manager. The manager said normally it's under the pasta. Still, no sausage in the pasta. They apologized and made the sausage and added it to the pasta. I wish that was the only issue. The menu states that it's a cajun Alfredo sauce and hate to say but this was just bland. Not flavorful at all. 2 waiters recommended it but I'm not sure why. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.
