The tutor turn out to be a retired Chemistry professor who spent 15 minutes complaining about the fact that VT assign to him too many students and he didn't have time to take care of anyone. We changed tutor. My student has a question, the same answer was given three times. Finally it came out that my student had not clearly understood what an isotope is. The tutor replied "you should know what an isotope is". We finally gave up and requested to cancel the subscription. They told me to consider it a done thing. One month later, mid-December, I was charged 324$ on the credit card. I called them to ask a refund and to finally cancel the subscription for good. The reply was that the contract does not allow for refunds, only for credit. When I promised to write this review, they told me "ok, we will put you in contact with the special requests team"... Our experience has been that of incompetent tutors and a scam-like approach to billing. At the time of writing I am not sure yet if they plan to bill me again in one month. Don't give your credit card number to this people.

He never thinks any question is a dumb question and that's a big plus because I had a LOT of them lol. I got a 50, so I started watching the videos and reading the material. After going to Joe's class (first day), I scored a 71 on the practice test. Remember, you need a 70 to pass the state exam. OK so I finally got a reaction after I tracked down the CEO's personal family FaceBook page and…read moresent a message that they next step was to pursue them for credit card fraud. (They did refund the $90 plus dollars paid for the transcripts, which was ok except what we actually needed was the transcripts). That reaction was a form email from a "no response" address that the transcripts were sent "expedited" on Sept 30th and inviting me to reach out to them via phone or email! I followed up with a request for tracking information, etc. (via email and telephone message); zero response (zero surprise). Today, Oct 14th, I received transcripts! They were sent regular mail (not "expedited service" as paid for); they were postage metered on Oct. 5th (the day after the date that delivery had originally been guaranteed) and actually mailed (per postmark) Oct 6th, so definitely not sent "expedited" on the 30th. The actual document received has only 2 of the 4 pages included in the "sample transcript" for this school and does not appear to be certified. As previously noted, my daughter's actual experience with Sol in Argentina was excellent, but the ongoing lack of communication, false claims, and poor follow through still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, such I could not recommend this company to anyone who expects even a basic level of service.
