Dorms look very ugly and old. Anyways, you can see stars at night when you look up on a normal night without any storm. Lots of nice greenery all around you like you're not in New York City. There's also a lot of fireflies in the bushes and grass at night. The food in the kitchen is really good. Their lunch trays are navy when I used to go there and is big enough to hold a lot of food. I came here for a business camp back when I was in high school and their facilities were really spacious to accommodate us.

I thought that the…read moreacademics were very strong; you get great instruction from top professors in their field with small classes. With the exception of maybe one bad apple, all professors were clear and helpful in class and during office hours, as well as with internships and jobs. Everyone was receptive to both positive and constructive feedback. While I was on a satellite campus in Kip's Bay, I had access to some good and reasonably priced restaurants, and some nice parks, during study breaks. However, the building could have offered better internet access and more of a variety of snacks, however I still was able to get all of my work done prior to classes, as well as attend research presentations to network. I ordered the book on Amazon and I've read it three times. One of my favorite parts of SEP is part on Aristotelian world of shadows in the cave. SO DRAMATIC! Solely a comment from attending an event Artificial Intelligence in a Democratic Society, am not a…read morestudent. 1) I usually interact with a conference through tweeting while in attendance and the protocol is to hashtag the acronym for the event followed by the year. In this case, the acronym was #AIDS18. This might seem like a hyper niche millennial complaint at first glance but speaks to a glaring failure to integrate a global humanities into the approach of addressing legal or technical problems. 2) The conference was held in the first floor, every wall was adorned by brusque gold framed portraits of White Men in suits, which magnified the bizarre decision for the conference organizers to include representatives of private industry (including Uber??) in a conference who's premise claimed to be fostering democracy in an era where codified participation by a consenting populous is being eroded in the name of innovation and efficiency. I don't believe there was a single person of color featured in the conference despite African American, Hispanic and low income people disproportionately being harmed by automated decision making. All to say, NYU Law school has an atmosphere of providing palliative care to a homogenous heteronormative White predominantly male elite being called to task for their complicity in structural inequity. Everyone else if mentioned at all is articulated as some undifferentiated other who's either handpicked to show "diversity" or mentioned in a passing anecdote about externalities and edge cases. Yeah, I'm biased. I spent one of the best years of my life here. An LL.M. was hard, rewarding,…read morefun, and put me on a path to a fulfilling life. The education that you get at NYU is top-notch. I learned a lot. I went to a law school that no one has ever heard of, and the respect that I get as a lawyer is from my degree from NYU. Hands down, the best thing that I could have done for my legal career. The location is the best. NYU is smack-dab in the middle of the village with Soho in walking distance and easy access to the subway system. It was safe and had plenty of bars, restaurants, parks, etc. to walk to. The relationships that you make at NYU will last throughout your lifetime. I fully expect to grow old with the friends that I have from NYU. Many of my best friends are from my time at NYU. Friends that were in my wedding, that I travel overseas with, that I talk to on a regular basis. We shared a time in our lives that was magical and can never be recreated.

They will lie every step of the way to steal your money and offer the worst teacher preparation you will get anywhere. They told me lies about Teachers College at Columbia to get me to go here, lies about the program to get me to stay, and lies about classes in order to double bill tuition. I wish I understood the extent to all their lies before I blew my life savings and my twenties for nothing. I am still looking for the right lawyer to sue them for fraud. It is not the beacon of education supposedly it once was and mark my words will close it's doors soon.

I always attended private schools, even an Ivy League university--They could not compare to Bank Street College of Education, a truly elite school. Yes, it cost a lot, but I got my money's worth. Since I was working full-time and going to school full-time, I was able to pay the tuition in 4 installments each of the 2 years, therefore graduating without owing a cent to anyone. I was determined to graduate in 2 years, and I did. Because of the Bank Street College of Education, I had a ball teaching over a period of 18 years.
