I will never consider any acupuncturist other than Jet (James) Yu to stick those needles into me. Back in 2005-2006, I was desperately in need of relief from 6 months of ever worsening sciatica pain that none of my doctors could help me with. It got so bad that no pain killer would work and I could not walk any more. I was referred to James by a close friend, a Korean motherly woman who went to him for her issues. She said he was "...much too young and playful..." to be her first choice of oriental doctors but his treatments worked so perfectly well for her needs she swore by the effectiveness of his treatments. I did not believe in acupuncture then but desperate as I was with my disabling pain, I had nothing to lose. At that time I already thought I was going to live the rest of my life with debilitating sciatic pain. So I went to James and he told me I needed "a series of treatments." Being a massage therapist myself with limited funds, I wet "uh-oh" in my head but I thought if my friend recommends him, and I do trust my friend, I would just go with it and so I did. I had my treatments aaat night because that was the only time we both had available in common. I would have the needles in me while he did the shitwork paper work that he had to deal with for the office. I remember the first treatment: sciatic pain seemed much worse immediately after the treatment than it did before i got on the table. I thought then I was not going back ever! The next morning however, I could walk! The pain was not gone but at least i could be standing signirficantly longer and I COULD WALK!!!. So I had my second session the day after. To cut my already long story short: immediately after every session, I seemed to be in worse pain than before the treatment, but always felt ever more and more significanrtly improved the next day. After session 6 I was 95% PAIN FREE. I stopped at six sessions for dwindling funds (James rates are better than reasonable -I'M JUST POOR -) but even after stopping the session my condition still continued to get better and better. I had a session again about a month later and continued once every two weeks sessions again with James for maintenance. for a few months up to the point that i was feeling so good it seems like the time spent on the table was time I could use doing something else since I felt good anyway so I stopped.... for about seven years. When I had a relapse of sciatica pain (not as bad) again this year, OF COURSE I went to James. (WHO ELSE?) This time I bought 13 sessions in bulk. of course, AGAIN) he fixed me up in six sessions but I did 3 more sessions anyway just to make sure. I have four more sessions to go, but with his effectiveness he might have to wait another seven years before I use them up again. read more

If anyone is suffering from back pain, pinched nerves, sciatica or tension headaches this is the place to be. I have been a LMT for the past 15 years and here at MWG for the past 6 years. Everyday he's always the first in to open and last one out to close, making sure everyone in the office is ok and always tries to help if one of us is having a bad day. He refers to us like family! We also have many lunches together and so many laughs I can't count. Dr. Trabulsi is one of the most genuine and selfless person I know. When covid first started he organized and provided street side testing and volunteered his time for the community here. When he finally re-opened after 1st quarantine closing due to Covid he called me right away and the next day I was there. Dr. Trabulsi takes care of the office from A-Z. Every day we all makes sure the office is spotless and sanitized. Each treatment room is sanitized after each patient and is ready for the next. I woke up one morning with terrible back pain, he could not even stand up straight. I called Manhattan Wellness Group and the girl at the front desk was so sweet. She was able to schedule me an appointment for the same day. All the staff in the office was so welcoming and friendly. When you're in pain and not feeling well, having that comforting feeling and everyone being so nice really makes a difference. Not only the girls at the front desk but everyone at Manhattan Wellness Group was so caring and doing their best to me feel better. I was referred to Manhattan Wellness Group by a friend who is also receiving treatment (acupuncture) there. Being in the Hospitality industry, the first thing that strikes you is the warmth of the staff. They are very accommodating and responsive to your needs. I am being treated for degenerated disks in my neck and have felt relief with the treatment I have received (Chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy & massages). Love this place. This is the first and only place that helped me sort out my back pain. I've had progressively worsening DDS and tried a few places before finding MWG. Everyone else seemed to have a lazy vibe to them and I always felt like I was getting minimal treatment for my money. At MWG, I've been treated by almost all the staff and everyone is very good: All the treatment is A+ in terms of quality. MWG puts in more effort into treatment than any other center I've been to. This is true across the board - chiro, acu, and massage. I never have to wait for treatment - if my appointment is at a certain time, I know that I will get treated then. I've been coming here religiously for the past year to help with my lower back, neck and shoulder pain from sitting at a computer all day. I get it all -- chiropractor work, massage, PT and acupuncture -- and have never had a bad experience. I was having excruciating lower back pain for the past few months. I came in to see Dr. Trabulsi two weeks ago and I feel so much better. He is very knowledgeable and a pro at what he does.
