For the record this is my first review I've ever written and I actually signed up just so I can write this review for Darren Manibog as a token of my appreciation and thank you for his help. I had an incident that involved my car being hit and wrecked while parked that occurred 01/12/2015. I got all info of the other person involved and started my claim process. I had a terrible ordeal with my own insurance company which to sum up my experience as a total nightmare, "rude customer service, no follow ups or call backs regarding claim, no towing services and no car rental" and mind you this is my own insurance. My collision occurred when an out-of-state driver hit my stopped car at the 605 north, which caused massive damage to my rear and front bumper as the impact made my car hit the driver in front of me. In 2009, I was rear-ended while stopped on a red light on Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica. The collision itself was minor primarily because my car was a Porsche Cayman and it took most of the beating. First off... I've never had a lawyer before or even attempted to hire a lawyer for any of my car accidents. Secondly, I'm a patient guy...but just don't be rude or try to screw me over. So, when me and my girlfriend got rear ended in November 2013 heading to an engagement shoot that I was videographing I thought we would just handle it like any other accident I've been in...have the insurance company handle it. After the accident we couldn't make it to the shoot so we headed home because the car was still drive able, however, the bumper was rubbing against the tire and the car felt "off". I guessed it was probably the frame. As soon as we got home I called my insurance company and told them everything. After about a week or more I called my insurance company back to see if everything was ok because I was having my girlfriend take me to work...and I had weird work hours and was in need of a rental. My insurance company said the other party called to report a accident. So, I was confused and called the other parties insurance. They also said nobody called to report an accident by that name. That's when I started to get annoyed...and I'm a pretty easy going and patient guy. I gave them a week or more to call and they didn't even report it. About 2-3 weeks later I got a call from their insurance company saying that their client finally reported a accident. I was still annoyed, however, a little relieved. I spoke to them regarding a pain in my neck and they reposted back with," do you have health insurance?" I said," yes I have insurance through work." They responded with," how this works is you have to meet your out of pocket costs them we will take care of the bills." I was really really really annoyed by then. I'm supposed to pay $3500 out of pocket then you will take care of my bills? I wasn't the one that caused the accident..I wasn't the one that rear ended someone. They also stated that since I was traveling to videograph a wedding engagements that they would not pay that because that's not a real job but my side job...because I told them I work a full time job at a hotel. That's when I think all I saw was red.....I was so annoyed. I didn't know what to do. But I decided to wait patiently and be understanding. That's when I lost it. I decided to look up lawyers after asking numerous friends and family on what I should do. I didn't know where or who to call so I just Yelped personal injury law and I ended up with Manibog Law but I'm glad I did. I read through many reviews....I researched while I was at work, while I was on break, and when I was home and decided that Darren Manibog would be it. So I called and I was super nervous because I never had a lawyer, however, the girl on the other end was super nice and I explained my situation and she said she has to ask Darren if that was a case they could take on. She called back and said yes the insurance company shouldn't e doing that. So I went to their offices in Pasadena since my gf worked down the street and we talked...they didn't seem shady or like "typical" lawyers...they cared. They were so friendly....and I met Lorena! So they said they'll send the estimate to the insurance company. They didn't respond for 2 weeks...so my car sat in the shop for 2 weeks because they appraiser was on vacation, however, the insurance company didn't tell me that til he got back. My car ended up being $3600 with their insurance company paying for that. Soooooooo, long story so far and I'll keep this one short. Darren Manibog and Lorena were so great. It's been about a year and half since the accident....in that time dealing with Manibog Law we ended up finding a tumor in my spine and if I never got in a accident and handled everything the old fashioned way with out a lawyer I would have never found a tumor in my spinal cord. It took awhile because Darren and his team wanted to make sure I was ok. I'm very glad I went with them. When I met with them last week it was just a relief to get this all finished....I couldn't have done it without them seriously.
