Chris Miller represented me in 2019 for a shoplifting case. Embarrassingly, this was not my first time in court so I was concerned I was going to get a harsher punishment. If I could, I would give Christopher an 11 star review!! As one who had no prior history or trouble with the law, military veteran retiree, I don't drink or do drugs, and was facing a felony charge (and enhancement) , which surprised me because I was the victim actually, but they never asked my side! I never thought something like this could happen to me, now in the golden phase of my life. Somehow I was now "In the system". The Prosecutors and the DA wanted a win and what they wanted was severe overkill for the situation, I was in a district that prides itself on saying they are "tough on crime", (the Inland Empire) except sometimes people get caught in the system that should not even be there. Chris fought for me like a "Bulldog!" It took 7.5 months, but Chris was able to get those charges dropped, and negotiated it down to misdemeanor! Even when I needed to go overseas to see my family during the case for an emergency, he even negotiated for me to go for 90 days!! It was amazing! This is the kind of attorney you want on your side, he is non-judgmental and knew the situation, and what kind of person I truly am, and he told me that a second in time when something happens, it does not define you. I could feel that he had empathy for what they were trying to put on me. Chris would text and call me frequently and keep me updated, even when I was overseas. Chris Miller is one of the greatest attorneys I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  Although, I have had an exemplary career within the legal and criminal justice system, I found myself facing felony charges after a domestic altercation with my husband. I worked with him for about a week over the phone while he first reviewed my case (Building and Safety code violations over a devastating mudflow incident in early 2018) and then we started talking about angles to take for my defense and also his price (which increased to $7000 and didn't include trial visits). It became obvious to me that the best defense was a strong offense...I need to sue the City of Los Angeles for storm drainage issues that caused immense erosion on my hillside and destroyed my road below, as well as a 3-foot deep hazardous trench on the main highway that's been there for 5 years. This suit could be used as a negotiation tool to rid or reduce their Code violation charges, but Mr. Miller doesn't file suits although he said he had an associate he could refer me to for that end of the defense. I offered to pay him $500 for a 1-hour Defense consultation (I've been to court 2x over this matter with more appearances due and still haven't pleaded) even though he advertises "free consultations". After arriving I was seen right away, and he listened attentively to everything I had to say and asked detailed questions about the circumstances of my case. I was relieved to find he wasn't condescending or judgmental in the least. Any questions I had were answered in detail. I was also impressed with Chris's knowledge regarding the inner workings of local courthouses and jurisdictions. At the end, Chris laid out his plan of action moving forward and again asked if I had any questions or concerns. To top it all off, he then dropped his estimated price slightly without me even asking, based on some of the details I had provided. That sort of honesty and integrity is near impossible to come by nowadays! As the case proceeded, Chris handled all my court appearances etc and would simply update me via text when there were any developments. Throughout the entire process he was prompt to return the inquiries I sent his way, and really left me feeling like I was in good hands. I will also add that he was very accommodating on a payment plan that I could manage, which was another huge relief. But MOST importantly, at the end of it all - Chris attained the absolute best possible outcome for my case. Better than I had even hoped for!
