I'm impressed with how both of them displayed their creativity and personality into the design. Visiting Beli Nails is more than just a beauty appointment. The place was immaculate inside, and we both had AJ do our nails and he was fantastic! We both got gel manicures, and were in and out with perfect nails in about 30 minutes total. I didn't feel rushed, but I also didn't want to sit around for an unnecessarily long amount of time (which has happened at other salons). AJ was really funny and easy to talk to, but didn't force his way into conversation with my sister and I. I'll definitely be requesting him next time! This place is reasonably priced and the menu board has EVERYTHING listed and priced, which makes everything so much easier than guessing or asking. I've never known how to ask for ombré or dip powder, but now I don't have to because the prices are right there. As far as COVID19 stuff goes, only one other patron was wearing a mask though. My sister and I were (she's high risk, and also it's just the right thing to do). They have the glass shields at every station and they seemed to thoroughly clean each station too. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I had an appointment for a gel manicure full set, but started with a deluxe pedicure alongside my husband. The pedicure itself was just okay. My technician didn't offer me any of the scent options that were included (while another technician did for my husband), so I just went along with whatever was chosen. The polish application was also not great--there were noticeable gaps along the sides of my nails. For my manicure, I showed a simple spring squiggle design (which I'll attach in photos) and asked if it could be done. The technician said yes, but it quickly became clear he was not confident or experienced with designs. He didn't fully remove the leftover black polish on my nails before starting, and during the gel process, he repeatedly pulled my hand out of the UV light before it had fully cured, causing my nails to hit the edges multiple times. When he began the design, the lines were streaky and uneven rather than clean and filled in. I politely asked multiple times for him to go back over them, but he didn't seem to understand or agree that anything needed to be fixed. At that point, I felt stuck and didn't want to spend even more time trying to correct things. By the end, I truly hated how my nails turned out. No one asked me how I felt about them until I was paying. Another technician briefly tried to fix the sides, but it didn't make a difference. After nearly two hours, I didn't have time to stay longer. To their credit, the woman at the front (I assume the owner) did not charge me for the design and offered to fix them. She also mentioned that only a few specific technicians (she named a few, including Daniel) specialize in designs. That said, this is exactly the issue--if only certain technicians can execute designs properly, that should be communicated upfront. I would have gladly waited or booked with someone more experienced instead of wasting time and leaving unhappy. Overall, I would not return based on this experience. If you're going for simple services, it may be fine--but if you want nail art or designs, I would strongly recommend making sure you are booked with one of the specific technicians who are actually skilled in that area.
