It's a grocery store. Has fresh and frozen food and z wide variety of cans and jar food. I like the snacks that you don't see in the big stores. I have tried several. The man is always friendly and if you ask a question seems to answer but doesn't start conversations. I appreciate this. I have bought potato noodles and large jar of candy that my grandkids like. Cans of fruit for my famous fruit cups.. Aisles are very narrow and passing probably not possible and there is no carts. SCAMMED! OVER CHARGED! STAY AWAY!! Didn't notice til I left I was over charged for everything I bought. This is honestly so sad. All I purchased was quail eggs, 10 balut, 2 limes, 1 shallot & 1 galanga. My total was $40 they told me balut was 1.50 EACH he then proceeded to charged me $2 each!!!! Total should be $15 for 10, instead I paid $20!!! Not to mention my receipt has produce @ $5 $4 & $4 FOR LIME GALANGA AND 1 SHALOT IT COSTED $20!?????? honestly I'm so disappointed and will look into legal action and file with the better business bureau this is so crazy and unacceptable?????? Here at this small Filipino/oriental market you can find seasonings, spices, vegetables, oodles of noodles, Magnolia ice cream and frozen seafood. It's not a great variety, but if you're Filipino, you can pretty much find anything you need here to whip up your Filipino dish cravings. I purchased a couple of seasoning packets and a pastry called Opia Ube. Yum-mmie! I love, love, love to cook and bake, but when it comes to Filipino dishes, I myself have not been successful at it, so I leave that up to my parents when I visit. ;) It was pretty busy in there today which was a change since I have visited this place a few times last year. I got a chance to browse through different items and did find a few ingredients that I know when in need, this will be my go to store. For example, the next time I make my coconut cake, I can purchase fresh and frozen coconuts here and Shaoxing rice wine for my Asian dishes. What made this trip is devouring into my Ube pastry. Foul Smell! We were so excited to have found this place. However, we walked in and walked right out in less than 2 min. An older man working in the middle isle was hacking without masks messing with the opened boxes of fresh/wilted produce on the floor. SMH. This place is the dirtiest and smelliest Filipino market I've ever seen. And I've been to other Asian and Filipino markets from different states and countries. Left this place nauseated and gagged. Finding Filipino joints are hard in Riverside, but I'm surprised to have found this place. I was looking for banana flower/blossoms and Mang Thomas and I found them here for cheap. They also have some other produce, and seafoods - like squid. As well as the other condiments/seasoning for all your filipino needs. It looks kind of messy, and they could work on cleaning up the place. Stickers and posters on top of each other and all the filipino paraphernalia just plastered all over the place, makes it look very tacky and sketchhhh. We get it, it's a Filipino produce, but can you please focus on the produce and it at least being 6 inches off the ground?? I wonder if this place ever gets inspected, because I'm sure they couldn't possibly get an A-grade rating until they clean this place up! read more

I recently moved from the Garden Grove/Anaheim area where Asian grocery stores are on like every freaking corner, and there was never any trouble finding what I needed for cooking. A bit of a disappointment here when grocery shopping in Moreno Valley; it's slim pickings unless you're making tacos. Or Hot Pockets. Not much to be had in the way of Asian groceries in this city. Okay, let's be real, there is not much to be had in the way of.... almost anything in this city. Unless you're looking for dollar stores, rims for your car, beauty supplies, or get cash for your gold, I guess.... but I digress. (Seriously, how many dollar stores does a city freaking need?) I stopped by here to check it out and liked the store. It's small and reminds me of going down to the corner store when I was a kid. Oldies playing on the stereo, fresh veggies in crates on the floor, canned goods stacked up neatly. If you need quail eggs, lumpia, coconut milk, a lychee soda, or dried noodles for cooking, this is a great small business to shop from imho. I found the service friendly and helpful even though I was just buying a soda and checking prices on the seafood. I will be back when I have $$$ to buy me a big old crab to eat. Family owned business and became a good friend of my dad's, my family's been coming here for years. there are fresh veggies and seafood every week, they mostly stock their goods every friday morning, be sure to add them on Facebook, cause they announce what they have in estimated time arrival. come early and get a good parking, otherwise you'll be parking all the way near red ribbon used to be. (at the corner) but if you prefer avoiding the crowd, come around 1-3pm. though i wish, they would clean up the place a little bit, and expand a little more. They set a price of 3.69/lb for frozen Indian mackeral. The bag states that it is 2lbs. Then they weigh it and charge extra for the ice in the bag. It's not about the money but principally it's wrong to do so. Then when I asked why are they charging extra for the ice that forms in the bag, they were very rude about it. read more

Small Asian store, but it's got everything you want for Asian food. It's ma & pa family own store. Fresh veggies and seafood every week. Friday is when they get new shipment. Store is packed with people trying to get the fresh goods. Everything is still in boxes from warehouse. Once it gone it's gone. You gotta wait till next week. the ORIGINAL FILIPINO market in Moreno Valley.. Family owned. It is a quaint little hole-in-the wall kinda of market. It has everything youd need for GREAT FILIPINO dishes.. And almost ALWAYS CRAMMED with people throughout the store, and especially when attempting to check out.. They unfortunately only have ONE cashier... They have a TV for you to enjoy while youre waiting in line, always playing TFC or something to that effect... Mom ususally asks me to take her here when i come over to visit. Just so that she can cook and cook and cook; which I do not have a problem with... at all... Some items may seem overpriced, but considering this is one of two filipino markets in the city... It definitely beats having to drive to OC/LA for most cost effective items... Store offers a variety of Filipino grocery items. Frozen lumpia, balut, banana ketchup and salt and vinegar pork rinds caught my eye. I was hoping to find fresh calamansi but only found a concentrated juice in a bottle. They have a small meat/fish counter. Vegetables looked limp and old-- they were sitting out in boxes, looking desperate for attention. Their sign markets themselves as an oriental grocery but I really didn't see anything other than Filipino staples. But maybe I don't know what's under the umbrella of Oriental? Instead of making the drive to L.A. or West Covina, this is the small family owned business that does the job. They can be limited with certain products that you may be looking for at times. But I feel, when going here, it's like paying homage to the Filipino culture, ingredients, products, newspaper, gossip, outdated Filipino movies, or international phone cards.. hehe Well they have most of what you need I would say. I went there for the first time before new years eve and the place was like a china town open air market. They had fresh tuna, live blue crabs and fresh produce. The place was real busy, which was no suprise considering that the products were so rare and fresh with a really good price.The funny thing was, here I am in an oriental market and all I heard was reggae music playing in the back.I'm in my mid 20's and I'm starting to learn how to cook my family's heritage culture( Filipino), so this is a perfect place to start. read more

Family owned business that sells pretty much everything you need to cook up your Filipino dishes. They have a huge selection of fishes and seafood. They have great tuna when they do have it on sale. They have a selection of vegetables for all kinds of dishes. If you need to grab the essential ingredients to make your dish, you could pretty much buy what you need at this place. The prices are very reasonable and you could ask the owner, who has been working there since the day it opened up when he gets his produce so you can make sure it will be fresh. I have been going to this store on and off for yrs if I can not go to 99 Ranch. Most of the time the vegetables are in the original shipping boxes. Veggies are old bulok,dry dunot, limp, yellowing leaves, disgusting and expensive. They still sell them irregardless! They do not bother to freshen them up n remove dead yellowing leaves or spray them with water to freshen them up. They leave them most likely overnight for days in those boxes and at night those creepy creatures or bugs probably feed on them! They are not refrigerated. No pride at all since they know they do not have much competition so no effort at all to improve all these years. They should be kept in at least individual plastic packings to keep them fresh n clean if you are going to pay that price. Owners just throw boxes on top of crate and u stoop down to pick n choose if you can stomach to buy it and pay at the cashiers who do not even greet and thank you I wish they sell the place if they are tired of working all these years and move on! I have been holding off to give these review but conditions there are getting worst. So beware. read more

It has hard to find a decent Filipino Supermarket in Riverside. I have to drive farther north to find a decent. I was desperate to eat my Filipino fish so I came here. I agree with some people's comments about the place is messy. This place needs some organization & cleaning. In fairness they have every item I wanted. I grew up in Moreno Valley and my family has been going to this market for years! As I crave my mom's filipino cooking when I visit, we both drive over for a few things to grab. This place is always packed with people and the line to their single cashier is always too long. I guess their delivery days are every Wed, Fri and Saturday. Their sea food and vegetables are fresh off the delivery truck in the morning and the place smells like fresh seafood. The price for their live crabs, fresh shrimp and tuna are pretty awesome and the price for all their vegetables are cheaper than the grocery stores. I give them 4 stars because I feel like I've known the owner and his family forever. read more

Been coming here for at least 5 years only only only only ONLY ONLY because it's local. The dad with the pony tail is super polite and respectful, the son and wife are super rude. I've been a long time patron here and still get treated as I just came off a slave ship. The wife rang me up and when I gave her payment she threw the change on the table causing me to pick up coins that fell on the floor, I have 3 slipped disc in my spine so this cause me to throw my back out, causing me to take a couple weeks off work, no pay, after 3 weeks of recovering my lost my job to some younger person. This place is very small and doesn't have much selection. I'm used to places like 99 ranch and other filipino stores that are a little bigger and offer much more. However, it did meet my immediate needs for silver swan soy sauce and onions to make adobo. They could also clean it up a little bit. There were tiny flies coming from the onion bags. read more

this place has horrible employees! i have been there twice. The first time they were rude, but decided to go back today in order to grab a few items. I was unloading my items from my basket and the guy behind the register got upset because I guess it is easier for him to unload the basket for himself. I asked him if they treat all their customers this way and he said "welcome to the neighborhood", and then told me I could shop somewhere else. i sure will! never shop here unless you are desperate. read more
