I can always count on Burgers & Beer for a pretty good meal! I would crown Burgers & Beer as Gibson…read moreCity's most consistent restaurant. Before I even walk in, I know the quality of food I'm going to get and I know I'm going to walk out of the restaurant feeling like my arteries need a few business days to recover. As the name suggests, Burgers & Beer offers delicious burgers and an even better time. I've had so many different sandwiches from Burgers and Beer and I've come up with some favorites. The Fowl Player is an extremely decadent burger that is great if you want to take a few years off your life! It comes with bacon and an egg. The flavors are fantastic, but you definitely feel some kind of way when you have grease and egg yolk and butter running down your arm. Consider it a cheat meal. If you're looking for something exotic, the Gladiator takes Mediterranean flavors and adds it to the burger. It has tzatziki sauce and feta cheese on it. The burgers in general are always cooked well and flavorful. Burgers and Beer sells other things too. The Smokin' Q is a decent BBQ chicken sandwich, but nothing too crazy. They have hot dogs and fish sandwiches, BLTs, peanut butter and jelly, you name it! I also get my sandwich was a side of tater tots. Those can be great, but sometimes they're a bit overdone. You also cannot forget dessert, their brownie sundae will be sure to give you a sugar high. Generally speaking, service is friendly, but food can be slow. On multiple occasions I've had to wait close to an hour. This is also one of the few restaurants in Gibson that is accommodating to all types of dietary restrictions. I come here with my colleagues specifically for their gluten free friendly options, as well as meatless items. I certainly consider Burgers and Beer a staple in town, you certainly can't beat a good juicy burger with your buddies!

How was the burger,…read morelet's find out: Ambience This is hard to comment since this was a food truck and seating was mostly at a bar. Service The guys were really nice guys. The food was cooked to order and did not take long. Food I got the onion smashed burger. I thought it was delicious with charred onions smashed into the burger and cheese. I did not use any ketchup for the burger because it was very well seasoned and juicy. Tater bombs These were a tarot tot on steroids. It came with what looked like a some sort of ketchup/mayo concoction. Basically a fried loaded potato is a shape of a big beefy tater tot. It had bits of bacon and cheese in it. It had a nice crunch and fluffiness to the inside. Though you get six of these tasty potatoes, there are substantially enough for a side (and to some a perfect snack). Overall Definitely visit smashd burger. It is a family and veteran owned burger place that serves great burgers and fun sides. I think I have to go back and try the bacon jam... I mean... it's bacon jam...

I found out from our server that many of their items are made in house, which is great to hear in a restaurant landscape where everything is frozen and reheated! It may be kind of dumpy inside but the place is also full of crazy personality. A lot of the basics along with a few fancier items. The prices are pretty okay for the portions and quality. Basically if you're a group it will probably be waiting for a table so go early. It's one of the popular places to go around here. The last time coming here we got seats at the bar and there wasn't any waiting. Has a lot of cool memorabilia to look at. There's a bunch of funny signs on the walls. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The Fuzzy Navel is one of the classics you can get. It's about $13 for a burger and fries. They have a veggie burger that can substitute. We each got one of these. I got it with the toppings of the Basic Burger. These come with the usual toppings like lettuce, mayonnaise which I left off, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. She got it with the toppings of the Olive Burger. These come with cheddar, lettuce, mayonnaise, olives, onions, Swiss, and tomatoes. For sure it gets busy. It's located on Main at Franklin. They're closed Wednesdays.

My memory is that everything else was a la carte - and the side dishes were overpriced. Stopped by again in December of 2025 - delightful experience! Did I mention it took an HOUR from order to first delivery, and then longer for the two chicken sandwiches, then longer for the re-fire on the under cooked burger. The burger I had was good but in no way worth any type of wait. And the place wasn't even packed!! Good burgers and onion rings. EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE. And really not attentive for a small town restaurant. I would pass on this place. It's good but not worth a trip out of the way, nor worth waiting.
