We ordered, "Rachel Sandwich," - Turkey with 1000 Island, Sauerkraut and Swiss Cheese on Grilled Marble Rye Bread. The sandwich was crispy textured with perfect balance of fresh ingredients inside the sandwich. We also ordered, "Signature Baked Pickle Soup," - A creamy Dill Pickle Soup topped with homemade Croutons and Swiss Cheese, then baked to perfection. Both dishes were made from scratch and it showed. Fresh ingredients were flavorful and delicious. We had a chance to meet the owners. Both female owners who are friends decided to start this Deli in 2021. With ups and downs they've been able to change the business strategy few times and have persevered. On your way to Stockton or Galena, be sure to stop by to enjoy friendly service, cuisine made from scratch and a retro atmosphere. They offer good seating, tables by front entrance, as well as, additional tables in the next room. If you're looking to play Slots, they offer a good size room with bar area. Checked out this cafe in Elizabeth. It happens to be one of the few places to get a meal around here. Lola's Deli is best known for sandwiches. Also has a gaming area. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. Basic looking place but has more room than expected to be honest. It's got a back area with a bar and slots. The bad thing is this place isn't open later because there would be fun times. Has breakfast and lunch menus. It's about $12 to get a sandwich and a side. A lot of the menu is meaty. We each got the Veggie Sub. Comes with avocados, black olives, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, Muenster which I left off, onions, tomatoes, and a vinaigrette, along with choice of a side, which I got with chips. This was pretty good even though the lettuce seemed old. Other menu items include chicken salad and typical deli classics. There's also breakfast with eggs and other stuff. For sure could get something from here again. It's best to go at lunch. They're closed Wednesdays. read more

The building is cool and welcoming, the staff were extremely polite and the food, as simple as it was, was done very well. Very affordable. Stopped in here on a trip to Elizabeth to hit their incredible antique mall and can't believe how good the food and service were! The dill pickle soup and pasta salad were soooo good! Everything the three of us had was DELISH! The place has a cool retro vibe, but if I had to criticize one thing, it would be the lack of background music. There were 4 or 5 tables of people dining as we were seated, and I swear you could hear a pin drop because none of these older diners were talking. Not to mention they looked at us like the outsiders we were, LOL! As a result, our lively table became the focal point which left us somewhat self-conscious. Visiting in from the Galena Territory and we were greeted with friendly and energetic staff. Service was quick and intentional. Vintage vibes were impeccable and we loved getting to view local artists work on display. Our meals were absolutely delicious! Ended with the famous bread pudding drizzled in caramel, not only enormous in size but was the perfect balance of sweetness. Will definitely be coming back to Lola's! read more

Love this place! Went for lunch! Just had soup and bread but it was amazing. I had pickle soup which may sound gross but it was awesome. Everyone at the table loved it. It had potatoes in it. The atmosphere is so cute the service was awesome and the company was good too. I would highly recommend it. Me and my love went zip lining at Longhollow cannopy tours at 10am! It is a must if you're in the area! Afterwards we stopped at Lola's for a bite to eat! It did not disappoint! We left feeling full but not stuffed! The food was light but hit the spot! I got the hot roast beef Muenster and Homemade Garlic Aioli on Grilled Sourdough Bread which was killer! My lady got the classic club with Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and mayo on Wheat Toast which came out in 4 triangle pieces across a long horizontal plate! It was excellent! Great location in a small town. Lucky we stopped. Take out or dine in , we chose dine in! Nice mid-century tables. Friendly young wait staff and knowledgeable with the menu. No we didn't order the dill pickle soup but our sandwiches were great. I had the Rueben and it was just right. My husband tried the hot corned beef and it was very lean so he was happy too. Located in a little town of Elizabeth, IL. Small deli where you can get a sandwich, breakfast omelet, deli pasta or ham. You can get your meal to go or be seated inside. We had the cucumber, dill and red onion salad which in Polish we call "Mizeria" and it tasted exactly the way my family makes it. I also had the veggie sandwich and hub got the breakfast sandwich which has a fried egg, your choice of sausage, bacon or ham on an English muffin.
