Clearly time for an update! Did you know that if you overload a front loading dryer with large towels that are heavy and still damp from the washer that it'll bust off the belt behind the drum? You're welcome! My lesson in Proper Dryer Loading Etiquette came at a price, which was actually affordable. It was only a year or so ago that Drew came to our home to put that very same dryer drum belt back on after it popped off after I turned the drum manually. That was actually Lesson #1 in Proper Dryer Loading Etiquette because who knew that dryer drum belts were such sensitive manufactured parts? As he did that first time, Drew arrived ahead of our appointment time, quickly set to work and rapidly finished the job. And as part of the service, he cleared out the lint trap below the dryer drum. Manning's has been our sole major appliance repair service for a long time. Look at my previous reviews. I mean, REALLY look at them. I've been posting about them since 2015 which is when I started writing reviews on Yelp. We actually first called them about a year or two before that. Drew might do warranty repairs on appliances but if not, well the best thing about a warranty running out is that while you'll have to pay for the service call, you get to entrust your appliance to Drew for an expert repair. In our experience, warranty repair service companies have always been hit and miss. Drew's always dependable and his work is top notch. Do we like spending money on repairs for malfunctioning appliances? Not a chance. Do we enjoy having Manning's Appliance Service as our go-to for making those repairs? You bet. read more

Larry showed up at 8 am ( they gave a window of 8-1 so I expected him at 12:30). He knew exactly what the problem was (clogged pipe). Replaced that and another problematic fitting and was out the door at 8:45! Highly recommend. read more

My dryer stopped working, and the washer had a bad valve. When I called Manning's for help, I found the lady on the phone very pleasant informative, and she scheduled me for service quickly, four days later, weekend included. The rate was disclosed before I scheduled service. The service man, Drew, was on time (almost), and apologized for being a few minutes late. When he arrived, he went right to work. He surprised me how efficient he was to open the casing for the dryer, find the problem, remove the drum, install the new parts he had brought with him, close it back up and get it running. He knew he was charging me for his time, on the clock, and seemed more concerned about it than I was. He then turned to the washer, and took care of that as efficiently as he had the dryer. The charge was reasonable for the service, and as he was so quick, it was less than I thought it would be. I am not often motivated to write reviews, but I felt I had to write this one. I had used another local appliance repair company recently for an unrelated problem with my refrigerator and they were so-so. After looking for someone else I settled on Manning's and am glad I did. I called last Friday pm and explained I had a water leak in my refrigerator due to a cracked plastic fitting. They said they could be out Wednesday between 8am and 1pm. Larry called about 10 minutes out and showed up at 9:30. He replaced the cracked fitting I was aware of and found and replaced a second one. Larry was driving away shortly after 10am. I called Manning's because our gas stove had a burner that would constantly be in ignite mode, even when turned off. They were booked out for a few weeks and took the first appointment they had and asked to be put on the list for something sooner should there be something available. Their scheduler called with an earlier appointment - win one. Drew showed up at the early side of the appointment window (win two). He honored COIVD-19 practices and went right to work. Within a few minutes he had identified the issue and resolved it. After a few minutes of testing and reassembly, my stove was working again (win three). We have a 2001 GE Monogram built in refrigerator that stopped working over a year ago (November 2022). I spent a couple of days trying different things to fix the fridge but the parts were no longer available. Also, I didn't know which parts needed to be replaced. A new built in refrigerator would have cost over $10,000! I googled and found Manning's appliance repair. After reading the reviews, which were encouraging, I scheduled a service call. Larry (the owner) arrived at the scheduled time. He replaced the start device and the defrost timer which he had in his truck. In less than half an hour he had the 21 year old refrigerator running again. It is now January 2024 and the refrigerator is still working. I'm glad that I was able to have the refrigerator repaired because it was much cheaper than buying a new one. The service call was $125, labor $50, and parts $200. The scheduler I talked to asked me for the model number and asked me to describe the problem. She was efficient and polite. Larry was great. Drew came out today and took a look at my washing machine that was no longer working. He was unable to fix it, due to the issue with it. The repair it needed would cost more than a new unit! I appreciated him not trying to sell me on a "fix" that would only prolong the life of the washer for a few more cycles. I contacted Mannings for a rental property I own in Bremerton when the refrigerator started acting up. The people I spoke with over the phone were very nice and professional. I called monday morning and they were able to take a look at it by wednesday. I cant say much about the guy who performed the repair because I wasent there, but he fixed it that day and the price was about half of what I expected it to be. He called me the next day to inform me of the cost and was sent a bill / receipt through the mail since I paid over phone with a credit card. Mannings definately took the stress out of a stressful situation. On a side note: I called several appliance repair places in the area, and Mannings was the only one that actually answered the phone or returned calls promptly. read more

Excellent service by Manning's Appliance Service! I had a gas range stove with an oven that wouldn't heat. I called Manning's and left a message explaining my situation. They promptly returned my call and clearly explained there would be an initial service charge to assess the problem with my gas stove oven. We were able to schedule a visit for a few days later. Larry came and quickly assessed the problem was a failing oven igniter. He had a new igniter with him and quickly changed out the part. The repair was complete in short order. It was nothing but a pleasure working with Larry and the rest of his professional team. I appreciated their attention to managing expectations by clearly explaining the terms of their services in advance during the initial phone call. Had a problem with our refrigerator, called on Mondy, scheduled for Wednesday and fixed by EOD. Larry is experienced and helpful by suggest a surge suppressor and where to get one. They have 24 hour coverage and yet give the direct touch from a personal perspective. They will accept credit cards but are willing to wait for a check and keep the service fees. read more

I called Manning's looking for some repair work on my older model Maytag Neptune Electric Clothes Dryer. Unfortunately they did not service my area of Kitsap County. They did, however, refer me to a repair service, Peninsula Washer & Dryer Repair whose owner Matt Johnson could probably assist me with my problem. Good quality service. My refrigerator needed a new thermostats but of course we didn't know that and it was fixed within the hour. But Larry the tech was very akward to talk to and made me uncomfortable to be around. And sadly this company turned out to be like many companies and was quite the rip off. The one part I needed cost me over 100 bucks with thus company. I found the same part at Sears, Lowes, Home depot and many online retailers for well under 50 dollars. Our 7 year-old slide-in range kept showing a "power lost" message even though we had not lost power. Sometimes the message screen would go completely blank, requiring us to turn the main breaker off then on again to bring it back. I thought for sure the mother board had gone dead, and an estimate for replacement ran into several hundred dollars, with the needed part on back order of at least several weeks, and no assurance it would even be available then. Drew from Mannings came out and had everything working again in a matter of minutes with a minimal charge. He cautioned that the problem could come back, but after two weeks everything continues to work perfectly. read more

We have a Kenmore Elite side by side refrigerator that would fluctuate temperatures into the danger zone in the refrigerator and sometimes the freezer sections. Larry, the owner, came to assess the problem within a couple of days from the call. He seemed to be very forthright and honest in his assessment stating this was a complex refrigerator built with five control boards. He ordered and installed the board he thought most to be the problem. So far, so good. We are happy. The entire process was handled in a timely manner. Called for a stove top repair/inspection after hours. Becky called me back and scheduled me. Drew called ahead "yay!" because otherwise I wouldn't have made it there and then he just fixed it super quickly! Also cleaned my dryer vent onsite, showed me a couple tricks to keep it working better (scrub/wash the lint filter to remove buildup from dryer sheets) and then took off in less time than I thought possible. First off, technician DID NOT remove boots prior to entry nor did he have shoe covers. Most professionals have shoe covers especially due to rainy conditions here. Needed my appliance looked at and technician was there in a reasonable amount of time. Was told it would be $120 for the first 15 minutes! Diagnoses was done and technician said he needed a $200 part in addition to the $200 total he already charged me. ($120 plus another $80 for?) Then he informed me he DID NOT HAVE THE PART AND WOULD NEED TO COME BACK to COMPLETE THE FIX! Wow I've never had an appliance cost so much for a non-fix the same day. This would have been $450 or more if I would have proceeded. I looked this same part number up via the internet and found one for about half the price and installed myself. read more
