Well here we are. The first day of 2024 and I have a taste for some pasta after leaving work. Wanting to try some place I've never been, I did a search on Yelp for restaurants that offers pasta near me and after looking at the food pics, decided to try Mannino's Pizza. Located along State Rd. 7 (441), Mannino's Pizza is a small restaurant offering a variety of dishes for dine in, take out, and delivery. They also cater. There was a group of people dining inside when I entered. I asked a male employee for a take out menu to place my order. The shrimp parmigiana with pasta sounded real good. The dinner entree was served with my choice of soup or salad and garlic rolls. The soup wasn't listed on the menu so I asked what kind of soup do they have. "Pasta fazool", he said quickly. Pasta what? "Pasta fazool", he repeated. He had that real New York/Italian accent. Seems like that was the only soup they had...hope I like it. It was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind sitting in such a relaxed atmosphere. As I reached home, I went into the kitchen to taste test the food. Here are my thoughts: Garlic rolls - a little oily; but was warm, soft, and lightly covered in minced garlic and herbs...yummy Realizing "pasta fazool" was Pasta Fagioli - very hearty soup full of pasta, beans, and tomato Shrimp Parmigiana with pasta - a dish I thoroughly enjoyed. Pasta was al dente and covered in a delicious zesty tomato sauce. Shrimp was breaded, cooked nicely, and topped with same zesty tomato sauce and covered with cheese. The whole meal tasted like it was cooked to order, which now I didn't mind waiting for 30 minutes...was well worth it. read more

AMAZING! First time here. The restaurant is small, nothing fancy, and is run by a husband (Jeremy) and wife (Summer). There are just a few tables for dining in, and yes, it could use a bit of upgrading (they are a work in progress). The food here is delicious. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan with linguine, my partner had the stuffed shells, and my mother had the Calzone. The 2 dinners came with a choice of soup or salad. We both chose the salad, which was fresh, and the tomatoes tasted freshly picked! The Chicken Parm was perfectly breaded and cooked with a marinara to die for. The stuffed shells burst with flavor. The calzone was stuffed with Ham, mushrooms, and cheese. No skimpy servings here. Any time I try a new place, I want to save room for dessert. They have zeppoles (made on premises), cheese cake, chocolate triple tier cake, and cannolis (also made on premises). The cake was amazing and came from a local Italian market. The cheesecake must have been great, not a crumb left behind, and the zeppoles were so fresh and large. I can't say enough good about this place. Everything from service, food, and pricing was all above any expectations I'd had. This will be my new place to go for Italian. The to go orders were popping and delivery guys running non-stop. This is right down the street from where I work, my coworkers and I come here a few times a week, the service is always good, it is a small place and seems like they are family owned. The food is delicious! We have tried different items on the menu and everything it always perfect. I'm in love with the garlic rolls and soup. But dont complain! It was so good I forgot to take a picture! We received an advertisement in the mail with some coupons. I was going to make my own pizza at first but worked a little later than expected so I decided to order. After looking through yelp I came across Mannino's and remember the coupons I received. The reviews looked decent enough so I thought I would give them a try! I placed an order for pickup. The staff were friendly and efficient. There were a good amount of people eating inside and I heard some of the staff call them by name. The flavor was on point across the board. Sauce was not too sweet, cheese was delicious, and the crust was perfect. The Zeppoli's were just a little chewy but that's likely because they were sitting in a pizza box for a couple hours before we got to them. Overall, great experience. Can't believe this place has been here as long as it has and we are just "discovering" it. We were in the area doing errands and decided to grab a quick and inexpensive lunch. We stopped in to take advantage of one of their lunch specials. We chose their two slices of cheese pizza and a soda for only $5.99. The half dozen tables were marked off so only 3 were available for seating (due to coronavirus). We ordered at the counter, grabbed a soda of our choice, and waited for our pizza to be ready. It was delivered to our table pdq and piping hot. The thin crust held its own and had a nice bite/texture to it. It was quite good. And for the price, a real bargain. Other lunch specials include a slice and salad; or pizzas and wings. They also have calzones, Stromboli's, and salads. If you're in a group or want more food -- like for dinner -- they have a lot of pizza and platter combos. Then there are the Italian standard entrees --- lunch costs less than dinner -- but both include soup or salad and garlic rolls. Oh did I mention their subs too? This place is tiny -- a real casual hole in the wall -- that does more take out than dine in due to their size. Considering overall -- even with a few recent price increases -- that meals are pretty reasonable, if you live nearby or are in the area, it's certainly a place worth checking out. read more

I had a long day and decided to skip cooking dinner and order a pizza instead. My standard order is half plain and half Hawaiian for my daughter. I called my usual place and they told me it would be $25. I thought that was too high for a pizza so I turned to Yelp to find a new pizza place. Mannino's popped up and when I called them the pizza was only $15 which was way more in line with what I think a takeout pizza should cost. They offer inside seating as well as takeout. The gentleman who took my order was friendly. He even gave me a call when I decided to make a pit stop at Publix to make sure that I hadn't got lost since it was my first visit. Entrees run from $11- $13 for the usual Italian pasta, shrimp, and chicken dishes, not $16 like the other place. Most importantly I liked their pizza. It was large, tasty, and had an adequate amount of pineapple and ham for my daughter. Since I dislike cooking in the summer heat I am sure I will be back to check out some of their other dishes. I am interested in their combo special of a large pizza, large antipasto salad, and 6 garlic rolls for $19.99. There is also a Tour of Italy for $34.99 that includes stuffed shells, baked ziti, meatballs, chicken parmigiana, a pizza, salad and garlic rolls. Then he called back twice yelling at me that I'm a "nasty old woman." What else are they dropping in the food and not seeing? How dare they curse at customers? I happened to be nearby and was looking for some good pizza. I stopped in and it turned out that they offered an all day 2 slice and drink special. I chose mushrooms and pineapple on my slice and added an order of toasted ravioli. A fresh pie was in the oven but it wasn't ready yet so I had a seat. The place is small but cozy. The young woman helping me was friendly and helpful. I sprinkled on some cheese, garlic, oregano and crushed red peppers and I was on my way home. I couldn't resist trying a ravioli, it was delicious, crispy and the sauce was spot on. I start driving and the smell of my pizza was killing me. I asked for double cut, so I grabbed half a slice and started eating it on my drive home. Delicious, with a perfect thin crust. The sauce had flavor and it wasn't greasy. We are not from here, we are on vacation and was trying to find a good pizza place. We were actually on our way to a different place but as we passed Mannino's and I was reading the reviews of the other place, they weren't good. I quickly checked out the review for Mannino's and was impressed so we made a u-turn. We were greeted right away by the only employee there. He was answering the phone, making the food and now had to sit us down. Wow. I ordered the two slices of cheese (added sausage to it) and it comes with a drink for $5.99 for my oldest daughter. I then ordered a large cheese pizza for myself, husband and two little ones and added two cans of sodas. The pizza came out quick and was fresh and hot. Perfect. The man checked up on us at least twice while trying to cook and answer the phone. We told him how good the pizza was and were hoping to come back (which we are!) and he gave us a $5 off $25 to use next time-- thank you! The place is very small, it only has about 7-8 tables and with COVID around, it was good we were the only people eating there. We did see 3 people come in and pick up pizza. read more

So I been living in Margate for about eight years. I'm in Florida for 32 and the thing I hate the most about Florida if you can't get a good piece of pizza. But I found a place in plantation that does a really good job of making New York style Pizza and then I found out that one of their pizza makers left for new place in plantation that made it just as good. When I found this place just last fall before COVID, I just walked in there and I almost cried. It smelled like the pizza place across the street from my high school in Hewlett Long Island. 2 slices and a coke 2 bucks. No change, don't ask for it. My wife and I sat and ate a whole pizza and I was in heaven. Went back three more times within the next two months for the pizza. it's that good. I ordered for delivery a few weeks ago and it came on time piping hot. Good food good service as I expected. Fast forward today. I was almost assaulted by their driver. OK so they called me and didn't get through they called me when They did get through he told me the guy was outback. I stood outback but he wasn't there, he was out front in the street but he didn't even knock on the door. I approached him and he handed me the pizza with a pen and my credit card slip and as I reached out with two hands to grab the three items he yanked the pizza back and said not until you sign the slip. And then he put the pizza in his truck and I said what the hell? I needed the box to lean against the sign on, I wasn't at my door I had to walk out to him in the street who has to do that On a pizza delivery? I was 30 feet from my door. Where am I going to run to? The damn pizza was paid for. He just needed a signature I wasn't running away he would've caught me and kick my a$$ anyway. And then he approached me quite harassingly and asked if I wanted to fight him. I said no I just want my pizza. I was considering calling the police but I wasn't really assaulted, I'm glad I wasn't carrying at the time as I was on my property and under no obligation to retreat. I expected some empathy from the owner, but He failed to offer even an iota. I call the place to complain, and the sweet young lady that answered the phone who delivered last time to me without a hitch mind you, drops the phone and had the nerve to say out loud so I can hear I'm not dealing with this guy. Nice service. Oh I didn't need to take the box from her, though she offered it before I signed and she was on the other side of my fence. But I didn't need to hold the box, I had the fence to use as a leaning post to sign the damn slip. I could've easily taken the pizza when she offered it to me and ran back to my house and let out the dogs. She's got more guts than the driver. If you want really good pizza eat here. I recommend it, if you like good service with your pizza go somewhere else to plantation, they got two pizza shops that will blow you away. I ordered an eggplant parmigiana sandwich tonight. My first time ordering from this restaurant. I didn't even want to give one star but i had to so I can post this review. I decided to try them through the recommendation of a neighbor. Unfortunately my experience turned out badly. I had asked when I called if they leave the skin on the eggplant and the girl that took the order said no they do not. Well it seemed that this eggplant did have the skin on it. I called the restaurant and they were not accommodating at all. The owner said there is no skin on it. So, I told him then it's burnt and black on the ends. But, whatever the case , when I bit into the sandwich a long piece of eggplant came out in full because it was not chewable. It was like shoe leather. I asked him if they could send us two slices of pizza instead. He told us they will send me another order of eggplant. I told him we didn't want that and asked again for just the pizza. This owner refused to do that. Which still would've been cheaper than the Eggplant. I just do not I stand why he would not let us try something else that maybe we would like better and continue to order from them. Perhaps the other food is good and maybe this eggplant situation is just unfortunate. But to me the way this owner handle this is reason enough to not ever do business with them again. The worse customer service ever. I worked in the restaurant business for 20 years as a manager, and I am appalled that this is how this was handled.
