Hands down, one of the best slices of pizza I've had since living in FL. It is comparable to the great NY city slices you'd find at some local spots. I didn't get to visit the restaurant but we did take out in our office today, we had a variety. Each were fresh, flavorful and they surly do not skimp on the toppings. Each pizza had a generous amount of pepperoni, cheese, and sausages. The garlic rolls were a hit, large and super fluffy! I'll definitely be visiting the restaurant in person soon. read more

I picked up a large cheese pizza from John the Baker, hoping it is as good as their Pembroke Pines location. It was very good. I had ordered the pizza by phone and mentioned I wasn't far away when quoted 20-30 minutes. The guy said he would put a rush on it which was very nice. I arrived and saw how busy they are. The meals looked delicious. I always get the lasagna at their other location, so I know how good their food is. Everyone else's food looked good. I need to try some other entrees. Okay let's get right to it! The best way to describe John the Baker is Elevated home style Italian. Upon walking in, we were greeted by our server Jessica who was very nice and attentive without being over bearing. She sat us quickly and gave us the space to relax and figure out what we wanted to order. She even offered crayons to my toddler which showed me this is a very kid friendly and thought out place for families. We decided to keep it simple and ordered the garlic rolls and a half cheese/half sausage and cheese pizza. The garlic rolls were INSANELY GOOD! I am sure you have been to an Italian restaurant that had the same old, frozen garlic rolls that are usually drenched in so much sauce that it gives the garlic roll a muddy taste, this was nothing like that! I did not ask, but these garlic rolls looked as if they were made in house with the perfect crust on the outside and the soft slightly chewy inside, not overly seasoned with garlic and oil, but made to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised to see this quality of garlic rolls! As far as the pizza, it tasted great was cooked well and hit the spot. Since we got a pizza with not as many toppings, considering our toddler, there was not much more I could say, but it was a great pizza and I hope to come back and try some of the other pizza offerings. I've tried all the pizza in Coral Springs so I consider myself an aficionado. John's is the best and the rest should be taking notes. We were excited to try John the Bakers pizza. Heard great things. Placed an online order with about an hour lead time. We went there to pick up and they hadn't even started yet. Everything was smothered in garlic and oil to my delight from the rolls to the sliders and pizza. I'm no pizza connoisseur so I can't judge whether this was "authentic" or of similar quality to other places nearby, though the pizza was a bit undercooked in my opinion with everything falling apart and I do wish there were more toppings included in a specialty pizza. I've ordered take out from JTB before but have never had a dine in experience and didn't know this was even an option, until this weekend. We had a party of 6, 3 adults & 3 kids.. what a great spot for families. We felt very comfortable and welcomed. High chairs were available and clean and the kids menu was great and very reasonably priced! My daughter ate her whole pasta plate. We ordered meatball sliders to start, very delicious and being served on their garlic rolls gives the taste a whole new level! One of the better Italian meals I've had in the area. My wife and I stopped in as they were opening for the day on a weekend and had the place to ourselves. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We saw a sign to try their famous garlic rolls and it was probably the best one I ever had. The pizza was very good as well. We got a half cheese and half pepperoni pie. I like how they bake the pepperoni in underneath a partial layer of cheese. Everything about this meal was super tasty, even our side of ranch was really good. The whole meal wasn't even very expensive either. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

I stopped by this restaurant on a whim as my husband and I happened to be in the area and I'm really glad we did! We were the only customers as it was fairly early in the day though the restaurant itself was large and had plenty of seating. We saw a sign outside about their "famous garlic rolls" and had to get two to try- they were the biggest garlic knots I've ever seen and were very fluffy and fresh! I do wish we asked for marinara sauce to go with it but it was still tasty nonetheless. We also got a large half cheese half pepperoni pizza and were surprised to see they put their pepperoni underneath the cheese! I thought the pizza was very good overall and our waitress was very friendly as well. I noticed they have really great food specials during the week and wish we lived close enough to take advantage. I was in the same shopping center as John The Baker and decided to pick up dinner here. I know and like their food in Pembroke Pines. This store has different owners. It is franchisesd. The food overall was consistent. I do think the lasagna at the Pembroke Pines store is a bit better. The pasta in the lasagna here was a little overcooked here. This wasn't a huge deal. I ordered the meatballs which I don't think I tried at the other store. The meatballs were good and even better with the sauce spooned over them. I love the garlic rolls. They are always delicious. It came with two small containers of balsamic vinaigrette. We also ordered a medium pizza with bacon and mushrooms. The pizza was decent, but the cheese was totally covering the top. The cheese covered the toppings. We could taste some bacon, but not any mushrooms. As we were with another couple, we didn't complain. We had chicken wings and pizza. The chicken wings tasted like they had been soaked in vinegar. The crust on the pizzas were like hard cardboard, and the sauce tasted like spicy tomato paste, like it had not even been cooked. We all had stomach acid issues all that night. The chicken parm is VERY good! I get it every time I go here. The garlic rolls are okay - my toothbrush smelled like garlic and butter so badly that I had to throw it away and the butter soaks through the to-go bag leaving butter everywhere.
