03/29/26 Update: Food quality has declined. Went for take out pizza which was totally burnt. Pic below. Very disappointing. Rest of food was mediocre.

Okay let's get right to it! The best way to describe John the Baker is Elevated home style Italian. Upon walking in, we were greeted by our server Jessica who was very nice and attentive without being over bearing. She sat us quickly and gave us the space to relax and figure out what we wanted to order. She even offered crayons to my toddler which showed me this is a very kid friendly and thought out place for families. We decided to keep it simple and ordered the garlic rolls and a half cheese/half sausage and cheese pizza. The garlic rolls were INSANELY GOOD! I am sure you have been to an Italian restaurant that had the same old, frozen garlic rolls that are usually drenched in so much sauce that it gives the garlic roll a muddy taste, this was nothing like that! I did not ask, but these garlic rolls looked as if they were made in house with the perfect crust on the outside and the soft slightly chewy inside, not overly seasoned with garlic and oil, but made to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised to see this quality of garlic rolls! As far as the pizza, it tasted great was cooked well and hit the spot. Since we got a pizza with not as many toppings, considering our toddler, there was not much more I could say, but it was a great pizza and I hope to come back and try some of the other pizza offerings. If you are looking for a high-quality Italian restaurant without breaking the bank, Jon the Baker is your spot ! Consider yourself told.

Hubby and I just happened to be in the plaza on a Friday evening when I spotted this place. I'd heard of it before but never tried it. I was starving, and pizza sounded like the perfect move. We ordered the 12-inch meatball pizza and two garlic rolls. The window boasted "world-famous" rolls, so of course I had to put them to the test. The server told me it'd be ready in 15 minutes. It took about 17, so not bad at all. Now let's talk about that pizza... SO GOOD. The cheese pull was giving everything it needed to give! And those garlic rolls? Definitely living up to the hype. Soft, flavorful, and perfectly buttery. I originally ordered to go, but the food smelled too good, so we sat down and ate right out the box. Shoutout to the friendly staff . They even offered us a plates when they saw us digging in! It's clearly a local favorite. Plenty of people dining in and picking up takeout. Lots of space to sit. I spent about $20 and left full and happy. I'd definitely go back!

I've tried all the pizza in Coral Springs so I consider myself an aficionado. John's is the best and the rest should be taking notes. The crust is perfect, the pepperoni is non negotiable, and they use enough cheese to clog your arteries in a good way. $23.50 for a large in this economy is nothing short of a miracle. It's a good pie.

John the Baker is a gem of a family-run Italian restaurant that's been serving up delicious pies and Italian classics since 1960 and it shows in all the best ways. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and, to our surprise, it wasn't very busy at first (a rare treat!), but it steadily picked up as we enjoyed our meal. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Jessica, who was incredibly sweet, attentive, and all smiles. Her energy set the tone for our entire experience. The first thing that caught my eye was the kid-drawn artwork proudly displayed on the walls such a thoughtful and fun touch. My toddler immediately noticed it too, and Jessica didn't miss a beat. She brought over crayons and paper to keep my daughter entertained little did she know she'd end up entertaining all three of us! The menu is small, but don't let that fool you it took me a while to choose because everything sounded amazing. We ended up ordering a family-sized sausage and cheese pie and a side of garlic rolls. Let me just say, those garlic rolls were out of this world clearly made in house, fresh, fluffy, and packed with flavor. As my husband and I sat there, we both commented on how this place strikes a perfect balance between cozy and current. It has that warm, homestyle feel you want from a pizzeria, but with a fun, modern twist that makes it stand out. It's no surprise they have such great reviews. Whether you're with your family, your little ones, or even dining solo you'll be well taken care of here. We'll definitely be back!

Needed a bite later into the evening and was glad to come across this place! Service was great and food came out quickly for our party. Everything was smothered in garlic and oil to my delight from the rolls to the sliders and pizza. I'm no pizza connoisseur so I can't judge whether this was "authentic" or of similar quality to other places nearby, though the pizza was a bit undercooked in my opinion with everything falling apart and I do wish there were more toppings included in a specialty pizza. Overall I'd be willing to give this place another try and come with a group again!

we had a little food tour on Saturday night so the hubs wanted to try out a little 12 inch snack. the pizza is the perfect size for one person or if you just want a snack like us. it was hot and cooked perfectly. the crust was my favorite part i thought the pizza was a tad salty for my taste but my husband loved it

I've ordered take out from JTB before but have never had a dine in experience and didn't know this was even an option, until this weekend. We had a party of 6, 3 adults & 3 kids.. what a great spot for families. We felt very comfortable and welcomed. High chairs were available and clean and the kids menu was great and very reasonably priced! My daughter ate her whole pasta plate. We ordered meatball sliders to start, very delicious and being served on their garlic rolls gives the taste a whole new level! We also got a hot honey pizza, which was very much enjoyed, as well as baked ziti and eggplant parm. My daughter (4) is already asking to go back! We will be back very soon!

We have ordered from here before, and it was good, I guess I never remembered to write this well deserved four stars review. Picked up a great pizza last night. Half Bacon half Sausage. Sweaty salty meats made it a bit salty, but the cheese to sauce ratio and the cheese used made the "Orange Slice" pizza.

One of the better Italian meals I've had in the area. My wife and I stopped in as they were opening for the day on a weekend and had the place to ourselves. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We saw a sign to try their famous garlic rolls and it was probably the best one I ever had. The pizza was very good as well. We got a half cheese and half pepperoni pie. I like how they bake the pepperoni in underneath a partial layer of cheese. Everything about this meal was super tasty, even our side of ranch was really good. The whole meal wasn't even very expensive either. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

I stopped by this restaurant on a whim as my husband and I happened to be in the area and I'm really glad we did! We were the only customers as it was fairly early in the day though the restaurant itself was large and had plenty of seating. We saw a sign outside about their "famous garlic rolls" and had to get two to try- they were the biggest garlic knots I've ever seen and were very fluffy and fresh! I do wish we asked for marinara sauce to go with it but it was still tasty nonetheless. We also got a large half cheese half pepperoni pizza and were surprised to see they put their pepperoni underneath the cheese! I thought the pizza was very good overall and our waitress was very friendly as well. I noticed they have really great food specials during the week and wish we lived close enough to take advantage. We will definitely be back next time we head to this area!

My only negative was I asked to take the leftover complimentary bread and olive oil home with my leftover lunch and they did not include the bread. I had even moved it from the bread basket to my plate on top of my sandwich so I can't imagine why they did not include it. The oil was included in a little decanter and all. The ambiance gives off fancy, but the food wasn't worth the prices. I will say that their bruschetta is fantastic (did not take a photo). The soup I ordered took forever to come out (did not take a photo). As we were waiting for our food, two tables surrounding us sent their food back so that worried us. As a result of that, it felt like it took longer than usual to get our meals since I'm sure the kitchen was scrambling to re-fire the meals sent back. My boyfriend ordered the lamb special and I went with the rigatoni alla bolognese. He enjoyed the lamb, but I was not impressed with the pasta. It wasn't horrible, but the pasta did not taste homemade or worth the money. Server seemed bored and uninterested. Did not offer to make any recommendations, but did give us free dessert of our choice for my boyfriend's birthday, so that was nice. For the long story: Our food took almost 2 hours, and that's honestly because when we had to stop them to talk to us, after over an hour, our waiter said, " oh sorry I'll bring you your check". We didn't even get our food, that was strike one. They not only forgot but refused to take accountability and said oh you must have misunderstood. No we did not. They brought us food that was not thoroughly cooked as well as cold/raw. We ordered, 3 plates of pasta, lasagna, branzinos. We had multiple people in our party with allergies and strongly believe they mis-plated a dish or reused a dish without cleaning it. One person had gotten an allergic reaction and we left with plates with 2 or fewer bites and the rest taken to go since they refused any accountability.
