A gem we found thanks to Yelp! We were looking for a local pizza spot and came across Little Italian Pizza. The reviews were so positive that my husband and I decided to give it a try, and we are so glad we did. We just found our new pizza spot! The food was amazing. We ordered a pepperoni Sicilian pizza, six garlic rolls, and two mini cannolis. Pizza: Outstanding. I love Sicilian style, and while it is thick, the crust to topping ratio was just right. It was not too bready at all. The sauce and cheese were delicious, and each slice had four pepperoni, which was great distribution. Garlic rolls: YUM. These are perfect. My favorite thing at any Italian restaurant is garlic rolls, and these hit every mark. Soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside, and perfectly seasoned with parsley, garlic, butter, and Parmesan. We only ordered six to try them, and the moment I saw them I knew I should have ordered more. Cannolis: These are one of my favorite desserts. They were good, but did not wow me. That may be because the pizza and garlic rolls stole the show. I do wish they had been finished with powdered sugar, chocolate drizzle, or chocolate chips. I am not sure what is most traditional, but I am used to seeing at least one of those, so it felt like something was missing. We ordered at 4:00 pm on a Friday, and the food arrived at 4:31 pm, even though we live about 18 to 20 minutes away. I was very impressed with the speed and the freshness. Mmmm! This is definitely one of my favorite pizza spots in Florida. The service is usually quick and overall friendly. The inside is small, few tables. Not for big parties (but definitely takeout). I love the pizza. It's just the right crunch. Sauce is tasty as well as their specialty pizzas. I've had the Brooklyn before. It's AMAZING. One of my favorites. Moved to Pompano Beach from New Haven, CT area about a year ago and have been looking for a good local pizza place; I definitely found it in Little Italian Pizza. Truly amazing pizza that is always fresh, crisp, chewy and delicious. I always get delivery and they are on time, prompt, and friendly. I recently also tried their wings (Buffalo with garlic) and DAMN they were some of the best wings I've had and will definitely be ordering them again. The pizza flavor is a 5, but the crust is a 3.5. I can't recommend the penne vodka pizza with chicken enough! It was some of the best tasting pizza I've ever had! The penne vodka sauce coated the crust, and then it was topped with perfectly cooked breaded chicken and cheese. So yummy!! Unfortunately, some pieces of the crust were thin and crispy, but other parts almost had a stale texture. I would try it out again in hopes that the crust is consistently better. read more

This is a great pizza place located right off of Cypress close to Atlantic Ave in Pompano Beach. We had two pizzas from here, Pepperoni and a Bacon/black olive pizza. Yelp comes through again! If you looked up "hole in the wall" in the dictionary there would be a picture of this place, but DO NOT let that stop you! This place does not disappoint. We had garlic knots, pizza (kids), chicken parmigiana with spaghetti, and baked ziti with meatballs. You can dine in or take-out. The restaurant has a few 4 and 2-person tables. It's clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The garlic knots are made to keep the vampires away! I recommend ordering a side of marinara to help mellow the garlic. The pizza was for the kids so the toppings were 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 pineapple (don't ask!) the crust is thin and crispy, very good flavor. We may get it again before we leave and I'm sure then we'll try a grown up pizza! My favorite was the chicken parm. Good flavor on the chicken and the marinara had good flavor. The spaghetti was the perfect al dente. This is a pretty simple dish, so there's not much to say, but sometimes simple is exactly what you want and the portion is so generous we brought half home! The baked ziti with meatballs has more of a creamy tomato sauce. This was also very tasty, but in comparison to the portion size of everything else, you only get two meatballs and they're just an average meatball size. They were good meatballs though. We did bring about 1/2 the pasta home for later! If you're in town on vacation (like us) go ahead, stop here for pizza or try their other Italian dishes! While we were in several regulars were coming in for their usual! That's a good sign! Hmmm... maybe I'll go heat up some of those leftovers! Talking about this food is making me hungry! read more

The gal waiting on tables, and answering the phone. And taking care of takeout orders...was very nice. We grabbed our own menus. She brought drinks. We ordered a small salad to share while waiting for our pizza We got a medium size sausage pizza -- figuring we'd have a few pieces left over for snacking (breakfast?) tomorrow. It came out hot, thin and crispy. It was cut into 8 small wedges. The problem for me was the crust. I grew up on New Haven-style pizza. (Google it). I like a little char from the wood or coal ovens and the dough although thin has to have some character. This pizza just didn't make the grade for me. It was thin like a cracker and tasted like the frozen kind from a box that you cook on that silver colored circle in the microwave. The sauce was nothing to write home about. There was a nice amount of sausage, but it wasn't cooked all the way through nor did it have the spices of real Italian sausage that make it. I like it crumbly and aromatic. So, unfortunately this is not going to be our new "go to" pizza place. Luckily, prices were very reasonable. read more

Located in one of our older "its seen better days" strip malls, Little Italian Pizza turns out to be a refreshing delight. Yes, it's a little "hole in the wall" type of place but has obviously undergone a complete up to date remodeling. Plus, unlike so many others, sparklingly clean together with a most pleasant and friendly staff. Another delightful surprise is that the overall food is much better than one might expect from such an operation. Their menu is even much more complete in that it offers everything from a varying array of pizzas to red or white clam sauced pasta, 5 veal dishes and much more. I know that with a name like Little Italian Pizza, pizza is their primary dish but as it gave me every indication of being more than a mere pizza joint, I ordered their Veal Francese. Then instead of getting it atop the usual pasta asked for broccoli instead. When served it was a real delight. The veal has been brutally pounded to a delightful tenderness, egg battered, sautéed and then covered in a good essence of lemon sauce which was good enough to pass as actually being of a white wine lemon reduction. I was surprisingly delighted with it and the broccoli that retain its vibrant green color and had been cooked to exact perfection in preserving a subtle fresh to the taste crispness. read more
