We just purchased our second Appliance from Chris Kerr at Manny's appliance in Wilbraham. This time we bought a speed queen washing machine. Chris was helpful and when we asked about a more expensive model he suggested to stick with the one we were looking at. Delivery was as expected, arrived when they said they would. It's unfortunate that zero stars is not an option. If you want the absolutely worst customer service, poorest communication, zero quality control and longest delays, this may actually be the appliance store for you. I did purchase originally from a different location which came with it's own challenges, however once you have a problem you're funneled to this store and for the holy love of Christ, what a fucking trainwreck. My issue was that a part needed to be replaced because it was damaged on delivery. Literally 4 months later and a dozen emails, the part finally arrived... damaged. Damaged part was taken away and there was zero communication for weeks, despite numerous emails from me. Only after I emailed like 4 other managers did I get a response. I finally agreed to take a measly 10% refund instead of dealing with the absolute clusterfuck that is Manny's. They didn't ask how I wanted the money returned, and the card they refunded to was decommissioned months ago due to fraud. The billing department called me to try to fix the issue (honestly, the only competent person I dealt with). Unfortunately he told me his money was gone and that I should call my bank and find out where his money went. After I made it clear that was not my responsibility, he quickly agreed to just cut me a check. Problem started in early July and was "resolved" this week (December 8). PLEASE save yourself - there are so many more competent appliance companies. read more

Spent $4,000 on 2 refrigerators. The cover door on the dairy bin breaks in 4 months and Manny's doesn't cover that because it is 'cosmetic'. I am never buying anything from them again and would advise the same to others. read more

Maytag Range, delivered June 3rd, 2025. Within 36 hours I had to call for Service, now I've had to call Service total 3 times. Very dangerous Range MER7700LZ. With Oven ONLY ON ...375 degrees for 25 minutes, ridge of flat top facing oven door, HOT with Temperature Monitoring " gun" reads 111 degrees to 114 degrees !! Able to burn skin of children/ elderly. Both dual choice elements are 1.5 to 3 inches from end of flat top facing oven. If boiling water or grease were to splatter over could cause serious injury. Oven vent is directly behind handle to open !! oven !! read more

Great staff, very nice and helped me find my gas stove top, microwave and fridge. I spent over$3,000. I can't wipe either one down with out scratching my stainless steel. I have scratch marks all over my appliances. I spent extra money to make sure they were scratch free. I paid extra! The only way I can wipe them down is a paper towel. Of course I am out of the warranty. You pay for what you get. Yes it was a bargain. I should have spent an extra $10000 and shopped somewhere else that would be scratch free. Looking to sell my house soon and the value has now gone down with my marked up kitchen appliances. What a waste of time, money by shopping here. I bought a Refrigerator from Manny's in Spfld.,Mass on June 6, 2025. The salesman was good, the delivery was on time. August 6, 2025 the control board died, I was at the beach on vacatio. We bought a refrigerator from Manny's in April. We were having issues with the door being warped. A service person came and said he would order a new door. The door came in and a service call was set up for July 17 between 10 and 2 . No one came that day and no phone call was received explaining why. I finally called at 4 and was told someone would call me back. The next day I received a call saying that the door was never put on the truck and an apology was made. A new date was set up for today, July 21 first thing this morning. Again I waited all morning, no one showed up, and I finally called the service dept at 12. At 2:15 I got a call and was told that the service person that was supposed to come didn't show up for work today. They wanted to reschedule again but I told them to forget about it, I'll live with a slightly warped door because I wasn't going to sit around another day waiting for them to come. Would give 0 stars if possible. Moved to a condo that has one of their Amana washing machines in it, purchased by the condo seller in 2023. It started acting up right after I moved in, so I went to look if the operation manual was in the condo. While I was looking for it, I found a receipt from Manny's that they had been out on 4/30/25 and could not find anything wrong with the washer, charged $150 for the service call. I called them and they set up another appointment, and kept me waiting all of one day without showing up. Whoever made the appointment recorded my phone number incorrectly and didn't bother to take down the dirctions I gave to get inside my building. The rescheduled the appointment, and and obsese lazy slob showed up. He was finally able to diagnose the washing machine, and it was a tiny sensor, but the cost to fix would be almost $600. I decided not to proceed, and he finished the appointment by letting me know I owed another $150 for the service call since it had been 30 days since the last technician had been out. He then stood in my living room man-splaining what he thought I should do next. I should be charging them for listening to his idiotic, condescending BS. So, this outfit sold an $800 washer that didn't even last two years, and then they want another $300 for useless service calls that have done nothing to address the problem. I should be sending THEM a bill for all of my time they wasted and for having to listen to that half-wit they sent to my home. read more

Would love to give them zero stars! Have been a customer for years buying thousands of dollars of appliances. Bought a Fridgeadere Professional refrigerator during the pandemic. With the year the plastic pieces on the door fell off and the unit started freezing all food. See pics. After numerous calls to Mannys main office and Fridgeadere I am stuck with a worthless piece of garbage. The man who came to look at it did his job, after that the manufacturer never had a solution and Mannys staff failed and never returned a call. Six months and I am still waiting for phone call from MANNY, HIS son the parts manager or GEORGE another Manager. It appears after you buy from them, you no longer exist. Would not recommend. This 2,000 item will have to be tossed in the dump and a new one will be purchased at another store. Forget about buying local, I got lousy results. read more

Yesterday, Saturday, March 20th, approximately 3:00 PM, I went to the Pride Station in Hadley to charge my Vehicle on my way to Target in Hadley. Friday; a Appliance Repair Technician came to my house in Northampton on a service call I had made an appointment for an appointment I had scheduled a few days earlier because my LG Refrigerator of 12 years wasn't making Ice. After some performing some test, he determined the compressor was not working and he told me that we needed a new refrigerator. I asked him, because he repairs different brands of Appliances. He gave me a list of Brands to consider based of his experiences as a Technician. And he added, that any Appliance Store will carry the brands he mentioned. I was go to charge my car in Hadley and there was a Manny's Store across the street. While my car was charging, instead of sitting there, I decided to go over and browse their Refrigerator selections. I waled in the store, and there were three or for employees standing around this area in the middle of the store, and there was a employee with a Red Shirt on sitting at a computer and two other men watching and talking to them. There was another Salesperson working with a couple in the refrigerator section answering questions about the refrigerator so they could make an informed decision before they purchased. That salesperson walked by me three of four times and never made eye contact, he walked passed me as if I didn't even exist. I didn't introduce myself because I didn't think I needed to. I came to the Manny's Appliance Store with the intent to purchase a Refrigerator to support a local Merchant. As Manny says in his commercials: " We do better because we live her". I've known Manny for a long time here in the Western Massachusetts. I bought appliances from his first store in Wilbraham. I've been to his home town in Crete. He and I use to talk about Crete when he was promoting his Olive Oil in the Table and Vine Liquor Store in West Springfield. I was a member of the Galaxy Council when I met him at the Club at Westover Air Reserve Base. He and I supported some of the same causes. read more

We purchased a brand new Frigidaire refrigerator in mid March, very happy when it was delivered in just a few days. The delivery staff was polite, professional and pleasant. The very next day I opened the middle drawer and static electricity shorted out part of the drawer even though the plug was properly grounded. I called Manny's service that very day to report the situation and one of the service technicians said he knew what the problem was and would order the part needed. That has been three months. We have called 6 times to check on the estimated delivery for the parts but no definite date given. Told they would check and call us back but no one has returned a single call. Each time we call we are told it is out of their hands. We called Frigidaire directly and we're told the parts were due in by the end of May but that date has come and gone. According to Manny's warranty they will replace the unit after 4 service calls but since no one has actually been out to the house yet so not sure what will happen down the road. The frig still is functioning but not sure how well since the middle drawer may not be keeping a steady temperature and hard to find things in the freezer drawer without lights. It makes odd noises off and on which I have recorded on my phone - not the normal sounds that one would hear like the ice maker. We understand that supply issues may be out of their control, but they could keep us informed by a call or e-mail or text - we are in the dark on any progress. We chose Manny's as a family friendly small home company rather than a large box store, but my family never forgets to call when they say they will. Jury is still out on this situation. And yes, we bought the extended warranty. read more

So we had no problems until I replaced every appliance in our kitchen purchased from Manny's on Boston Road. We had lots of problems with the delivery of the Kitchenaid dishwasher. First they have it, then they don't. They don't know when they will get it in but since I paid for it I can't ask for something different. Fine. It comes in. Oh wait, wrong one. Sorry. Oh wait - we have one in the"back". Eventually we do get it in about 6 months ago. Awesome. It gets installed but not anchored. WTF. At least it's quiet. Yeah I'll tell you that one soon. About 2 months go by and the dishwasher is not cleaning dishes. I spent over a grand plus an extended warranty. I call kitchenaid and they tell me to call Manny's. Ok. I have never had a problem yet so yup - they will respond. Not really. They come over and tell me we need parts that they they have to order. About a month goes by and still nothing. We had to call since we were not getting a response from them. They finally made an appointment. They were supposed to call, never did, and then told me that WE blew THEM off. WTF. I went down there complain. I asked who do I complain to. 2 sales people point to the main sales guy - the one that sold me the thing. He said it was not their department. I let him know again how much I have purchased there and from him specifically and let him know that Manny's service was sold to me by him and I am not getting that service in return. Ugh. More time goes by. They replace a part and said it was mostly ok. A few weeks later they come by again and replaced the motor - that is why it was so quiet. One whole week and it is broken again this time it is a plastic part. Oh and the dishwasher is not secured to anything! This is so ridiculous. I paid for this in October 2018. It is July 2019 and it has not been repaired. I am very upset. Huge lemon and Manny's is not responsive. FIX It is now September 2019. My dishwasher is still broken. They ordered the wrong part. Again. You people lost my business forever. I believe this is criminal. I have filed a complaint to the BBB in Massachusetts today. I called the BBB. In 2 days Manny's service called me and the agent on the phone claimed that she was new (lie - we dealt with her in this already) and had no idea that there was a problem. She then had the nerve to ask me what would make it better. I simply said - a working model of the dishwasher that they sold me. Period. Fix it immediately or give me a new one. Guess what? New one came at the end of the week and installed properly. The install guy asked if they installed it originally. I said yes why? He said it wasn't secured. SMH. Thank you BBB and to Manny's - I hope you go out of business and then read these negative reviews to understand what went wrong. I was a loyal customer until you screwed me for nearly a full year. 3-4 years ago - purchased very expensive $1300 GE dryer + extended warranty from Manny's Wilbraham store. Feb - dryer stopped working. Feb 5 - called Manny's for service - service call was scheduled for 8 days later. Feb 13 - service repair guys came and determined that the motor needed to be replaced and would take about a week to come in. Feb 21 - not having heard anything back from Manny's called again and was told repair guy would come install new part on Tuesday. Feb 26 - repair guy came and was unable to get fan assembly off the motor - called someone to help and still wasn't able to get it off. Feb 27 - repair guys came back with someone else and tried again. Finally said he would need to order a new motor/fan assembly. Mar 4 - service manager called and said part would be in Thursday and repair guy would come out and install it on Friday. Mar 8 - a different repair guy came out and tried to remove old motor/fan assembly. After about an hour he said he was going to have to order the whole housing assembly and that he hopes it's something he can actually order and that hopefully it will be here be by Monday. He said he would have liked to spend more time trying but was the only repair guy working today because the others were all in training and he'd received a priority call for a repair in Holyoke. Been without a dryer for over a month now and have already spent way too much time in a laundromat and am now faced with spending more time there this weekend. Not getting a warm fuzzy feeling that I will have a working dryer anytime soon. In the last 6-7 years, 2 other appliances I bought from Lowe's (big box store) were repaired within 1-2 weeks even with parts that needed to be ordered. I foolishly allowed myself to be influenced by the Manny's commercials - "we have to be better" because we live here", and "unlike the big box stores, we have our own repairmen so you don't have to worry about getting service"! Manny's is good at selling to you, but once you hand over your money, they really could care less about providing quality service. Planning to buy a freezer soon and within the next 2 years I will be needing to replace 3 or 4 other appliances in the house and I will most likely be going back to Lowe's or Home Depot. Buyer beware. Manny's is slowly selling their stores and don't give a damn about service. We had a new washer delivered on October 30, 2019 so that we wouldn't have to worry that my elderly parents would be without a working washer. Two days later, we did a batch and the washer leaked everywhere all over the laundry room floor. We called Manny's only to be told that they could not send a tech until the week of November 25th, meaning the mess and any washing would have to wait almost 4 weeks to be fixed! They gave us the GE number to get a tech sooner. They sent someone within 4 days! The issue was that Manny's installers had not tightened the hoses when supposedly connecting them. Now, 10 days later, after using the washer daily since then, the washer won't drain and spin. I called Manny's and they refuse to send anyone out here since we "chose" to have another company service the machine. I said that they forced us to do that so we would have the machine working before another month went by! They still said we had to call the other tech since they had "touched" the machine since Manny's had! I said we had purchased a 3-year service contract with them, but that meant nothing. "It was still a water issue, which the other tech had handled." GE will have a tech here within 4 days once again. I would never go back to Manny's to purchase another appliance. They don't stand by their products or their customers. Don't be taken in by the slogan that "they live here." They don't give a damn about their customers, local or not. 0 stars! read more

I must say I got great service today from Manny's Appliance Service. Today our dryer broke down. We had purchased it from Manny's many years ago. It had always worked fine. I am a caretaker to my elderly parents, so we use the dryer (and washer) every day. The service person told me their first appointment would be a week away. I said, "oh no! The is a problem". So, I left the appt with her and went to think of other alternatives. But this afternoon (same day I called) the door bell rang, and there was a Manny's service technician at my door ready to fix our dryer! And he promptly fixed it (someone had put a pencil in the dryer and it jammed). AND then he better leveled our washer on the floor (also bought from Manny's years ago). Over the past 25 years, we have bought refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers from Manny's. Never a problem. And today's experience was just great and so much appreciated. Called the sales person who I had dealt with and he could not be bothered to speak to me, what a turnaround from when I entered the store when he wanted my sale!!!! I was transferred to repair department and explained my dilemma and they could not send anyone out for over a week which was unacceptable in my opinion since this was a brand new dryer! Waited the week since I had no other choice and he said igniter was broken and would have to order the part , SERIOUSLY , this is a brand new appliance!!! I go into the store because I am so frustrated, sales person that sold me the appliance showed absolutely no empathy towards my situation and said he will look into the situation and call me by the end of the day! Of course he never called me back!!! HORRIBLE customer service! Finally service calls me and tells me wrong part was ordered but they have reordered correct part! Only after my multiple calls complaining did I finally get the machine fixed. So many other places to shop, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!!!!!!! read more

What a disaster! You would think an appliance store could deliver a refrigerator without a problem. Twice a refrigerator showed up on the truck at our house with a dent in it. We sent them back both times and scheduled a third delivery. This time nothing came at all. When we called Manny's we were told we already had our new refrigerator. We recently bought our fourth appliance from Manny's, continuing to think it was better to give our business to a "local" store. The delivery was 2 hours late and the installation was done by a VERY surly man who was clearly not happy with his job. He installed the dishwasher and ran it for approximately two minutes before he quickly left. About an hour later we ran the machine and it leaked profusely all over our wood floor. The next morning I called and spoke with the installer. He asked a couple of questions and informed me that the problem was with the machine and not his installation. We then were made to wait the weekend in order to have the defective machine replaced. read more

My mother's refrigerator died Friday evening as we were going into Labor Day weekend so I needed a frig ASAP. Went to Home Depot, Lowe's and Manny's and no one could get me a new refrigerator delivered for 2 weeks. All the retailers stated they were backed up because of the previous tax free weekend and they could not help unless I had a truck and could pick it up myself. I stated my mom is 75 and we had no way to pick up a refrigerator. Again NO ONE offered any solutions and frankly I expected that from the big box retailers but Manny's they are local and they actually chuckled and said good luck as no one can get me a frig sooner than 2 weeks . Mannys is just a bad as the big box retailers for being a local business I would expect more compassion or willingness to help. Well as a last effort we walked into Cluetts in Ludlow and Diane is amazing and Cluetts really cares as I had a new refrigerator delivered Saturday so don't shop Mannys they don't care about their customers. read more

I would give this place a big fat "ZERO" rating if I could. I am not surprised they have been sued multiple times. I have been without a working fridge now for 2+ months. There is no one to talk to except "Ed", in service, who every week tells me "he should have an answer by the end of the week" as to whether or not my fridge will be replaced. I had their service guy, Alan, here to fix the ice cube unit as it was no longer making ice. After 3 visits, that unit still does not work - and since then my fridge stays at 56 degrees. Now this other guy - Jamie - who apparently Ed reports to will not call me back and Ed says he cannot give me his phone #, and that Jamie is not typically in the office. Whhhhhhat? My elderly mother, who lives in Springfield, purchased a GE Profile Refrigerator and Dishwasher from the Manny's store in Hadley in early October. These were replacement appliances for ones that she had purchased from Manny's nearly 10 years ago. We had several problems with these new appliances beginning with the delivery. The store sent us a clothes washer instead of the dishwasher that we purchased. They realized their error and we had to wait several more days for the new dishwasher to arrive. In the meantime, the new refrigerator's thermostat was not operating correctly and we had to have it sent back for a replacement. This left us without a fridge for several days. In the meantime, we discovered that the dishwasher was also defective. We paid our plumber nearly $400.00 to have it installed (Manny's did not inform us that they will do the install for a fee, which would have been about half of what we paid our plumber). We used the dishwasher once and it leaked profusely. I called our plumber back and he said it wasn't his work it was the drain pump on the dishwasher. We called Mannys' and they sent a service technician to come and look at it a couple of weeks later. He determined that the dishwasher needed a new computer board. So here we are, two months out with this thing that we paid around $500.00 for and we don't have a working dishwasher. Finally, you can never get a live person on their service center phone line. You have to leave a message and you're lucky if they return your call within 24 hours. This will be the last time we purchase anything from them. Your better off going to a big box store like Lowes or Home Depot. I hope Mr. Manny reads these reviews. He needs to know the kind of service his people are providing to his customers. I would be outraged if it was my business with my name on it. read more

Purchased a GE Washing machine and 5 year warranty from Manny's on Jan 7 2016. Between Oct 2017 and June 2018 the service techs have been here five times. On the last call the tech said, "I can't fix it." He unplugged the machine and said don't use it and call our office tomorrow which we did. They wouldn't replace the machine and after much haggling offered to sell us a new machine at their cost. Lousy service followed by a raw deal. We will never use Manny's again. read more
