At least one major appliance cost more than it's "big chain" competition, but I try to do business with smaller shops like Quimby's. The appliances so far are mostly satisfactory. When I had a problem with one, however, the owner did not follow up when requested and instead I was treated very poorly over a simple misunderstanding related to delivery. I do not deserve to be spoken to so rudely and disrespectfully for any reason - especially at these prices.

I had two experiences which Whirlpool washer I purchased four years ago, First one is about the door lock, error code was E01 F03, I looked after the solution by googling and YouTube. That thing was not easy when you encounter first time, I called them the service, Bob came in same day, he fixed for me, I paid because, the time was just passed the warranty period. The second time was happened just couple of days ago. This time was not the door issue but about the drain pump which is not working. I called them, and they scheduled me next day, then they ordered the pump and fixed the next day, it costs me about two hundreds which include the cost of service and the pump. I called the other service center for the repair, when I was waiting. They said, they will charge me $99.00 even though there is no repair. I had…read morea horrible experience with Hurley and David, who tried to claim my furnace was unsafe, they shut it down, and disconnected the gas so I couldn't restart it. it was in January and the temperatures were in the single digits. Countywide came out that same day, also found that Hurley and David had disconnected some wires so I couldn't restart the furnace. Countywide got it restarted did a combustion test that showed the furnace was indeed safe and actually over 90% efficient. Hurley and David was trying to sell me a new furnace when a couple hundred dollar repair got mine fixed. That's the kind of company country wide is; honest and not looking to spend your money needlessly.
