The banana pudding cinnamon roll was hands down the best cinnamon roll I've ever had, and the red velvet cupcake was just as amazing--moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. If you haven't had the chance to support this wonderful Black-owned, woman-owned business yet, I can't recommend it enough. Manny's Cafe & Bakery is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. I stopped in and tried the beef empanada, and it was absolutely amazing. The first thing that stood out was the dough--it had a great texture, perfectly cooked with a nice bite on the outside while still being soft and flavorful. You can tell the dough itself isn't an afterthought; it actually adds to the overall experience. The beef filling was flavorful and paired perfectly with the crust. A good empanada sounds simple, but when the dough, seasoning, texture, and filling all come together, it makes a difference. Manny's definitely nailed this one. Best empanadas, triples and alfajores!! I am not a big fan of the sandwiches, but I am happy with my top 3. The butifarra needs fresh crispy onion not wet soggy and the chicharron i thought needed more flavor. Service is excellent. I would go more often but its far for me.
