We had a really good lunch at this new, small Venezuelan restaurant. Thank you, Yelp Elite, Stephen S for letting us know they were there. The restaurant is located in a small strip facing the street. It's next to a fish/aquarium supply store. Inside, it's bright. There are about 20+ seats at two and four-top tables. They have a larger menu than expected. They serve Breakfast through Dinner. And they have some lunch plate specials. We decided to share a Venezuelan empanada to start. The one we had -- with ground beef -- was excellent. They have over a dozen more varieties from which to choose. The empanada was different from the usual ones we've had. It was served piping hot, and the dough was flavorful and crispy. Inside, the ground meat was lightly spiced. The gal brought over two sauces for us to use with the empanada. One sauce was hot (spicy) and one was cilantro. I really liked the cilantro. My husband used both sauces. We each then got a pan con bistec -- a steak sandwich. My husband got it as on the menu -- with a (thin) steak, sauteed onions, chopped lettuce, and tomato, cheese, pink sauce, and potato sticks. I chose to get mine without onions and asked for the pink sauce on the side. We both liked our sandwiches which was served on pressed and toasted bread. We wound up taking half of each sandwich home for dinner. This is not a fast-food restaurant, but a place where everything is cooked to order, so plan accordingly -- and order a starter or appetizer. We look forward to coming back here -- and certainly getting a couple more of their empanadas in the near future. read more

As a fellow Venezuelan i knew i had to try this place out ! To start off the people who worked there were so friendly and welcoming. Great menu, large variety of arepas, cachapas, and other things aswell. I had an arepa with avocado, white cheese, ham, and eggs and it was just as good as i was expecting. Large, stuffed and delicious. I also got a Papelon de Limón (sugar cane juice) which is very traditional to Venezuela and it was very nostalgic. Next up is the HUGE Pandeja Paisa. It has churrasco, sausage, rice, plantain, egg, avocado, chicharrón, mini arepas, and beans. Talk about a ginormous meal!!! Not more than $30! Ridiculously delicious! Bistec Sandwich was also really good, but i recommend the Bandeja Paisa. Amazing to see Venezuelans thriving and I will be coming back to support their business. read more

What a great place. The food is fresh, home made, and the portions are really big. We started with the mini tostones. There was nothing mini about that. They are 4 full sized tostones with different stuffing, each unique and flavorful. This could be a meal itself. I had the cachapa with chicharrones. The cachapa was slightly sweet with the cheese making it slightly savory. The chicharrones were done to perfections. Darwin was our waiter. What a nice guy! He was very welcoming and took time to explain the dishes. He was also very patient with my Spanish. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying some new dishes. Went there 2 weeks ago and I was so pleased the empanadas were to die for freshly made and yummy. I tried the carne mechada and the cheese empanada and there were both delicious. We also tried the tequenos so good. The best part was the service, went there to pick up my order but Alexander was the nicest, what a way to treat the customer.
