Yeah no. Any business that manages to tick me off the way this one did gets one star. I went last week and dropped off a top that I received as a gift. It was short and showy and I was afraid it would make my breasts pop out. The lady who attended me told me it was a quick fix with bringing in the halter part. That that in itself should make it tighter and fix it. I paid $10 or so and was told to come back in a week. I went back this morning. The top was brought in all right, but the top still felt loose. I mentioned this and then they told me they'd charge me nearly $16 to get it fixed again. Nope. They should've bothered asking how I wanted things done the first time and they shouldn't be charging more the second time for something to fix. This is uncalled for. The woman didn't even seem to care about how I, the customer, wanted things to fit. I ended up taking my top and leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth. I then went to another seamstress who at least cared enough to tell me the pros and cons on whether or not this top made sense to further fix. I won't be returning to this shop. The lackadaisical attitude I received and the fact that they just seemed to care about money negated the fact they could even sow in a decent manner. read more

I would never recommend to use this woman for alterations... my 2 dresses were not altered correctly and when I pointed it out she had an attitude and stated that she can't move the darts on the dress ... if that was the case than she should've told me so when I was there to be fitted!!! She's the expert! I expect that she would explain this then it would've been my decision if I wanted to take the risk moving forward with the alterations!! If I knew this I wouldn't have had the alterations done!!! She's over priced, and wants her fee in advance... so if you're not happy with the work you have no recourse. read more

Not good customer service/business people I called to ask for a request to turn my low waisted pants into high waisted, she claimed she didn't understand what I meant, then tells me to come bring it into the store, I tell her to save time since I'm very busy, it would be smarter to just send her a photo of what I'd like and then to give me the price, she proceeds to claim "I don't have a cell phone"... very hard to believe but ok. I have a dreaded bridesmaid dress that needed to be hemmed quickly as another big name bridal shop let me down and then wanted to charge rush fees. I called up this place and was able to bring the dress by same day. She quickly pinned it and quoted me a fair price. You have to pay up front which was okay with me. There's a fee if you use a credit card I think. I picked it up today and was happy with the results and it was done on time. No further adjustments needed. Also, she steamed it for me which a lot of other alterations places said they wouldn't do. I'd definitely return if I needed the work of a seamstress again. read more

I was lucky to find this place on yelp, the place had no reviews, so I decided to take one for the crew lol I kind of had an emergency situation, I needed my jeans hemmed the same day or by the afternoon of the following day. Manolas is owned by an Italian woman whom is very nice and professional. Assuming her name is Manola, because I never asked. Manola propositioned a regular hem or I could choose the more expensive hem which exactly mimicked the original manufacturers hem. I chose the more expensive hem because I'm a perfectionist. The following day I picked up the jeans at 2:00 PM. I was shocked and totally satisfied with both of the jeans she hemmed. They not only both fit perfectly, but I couldn't tell where the manufacturers hem began or ended. This place is definitely on my list of multiple repeats. read more

Came here to get a pair of jeans and a pair of shorts altered and loved the result! I had the waist taken in for both pairs and the results are basically seamless. Both pair fit perfectly and I couldn't have asked for a better job done. The price was great as well, with the total coming out to be less than 40 dollars. The overall process took about a week, and I do have to note that I had to come in twice to pick my order up; upon coming in when I was originally told they told me to come back later in the day as it wasn't ready yet. I had about 2 to 3 weeks to get a bridesmaid (technically "best groomswoman") dress hemmed for a wedding. I knew I had 2 places bookmarked on Yelp so I of course checked out the reviews. Both had excellent reviews, but I ultimately decided on Manola's because it sounded like she was a little quicker, and the location was a little better for me. I arrived and put on my dress, and she got to work pinning the bottom. In and out in about 20 minutes and she told me to come back in 2 weeks. I left a 50% deposit, but she didn't seem too concerned about me leaving one. I arrived exactly 2 weeks later (keep your pay stub so it's easier for her to find your order) and took my dress. I didn't bother trying it on again, but held it up to me and could tell the length was just right! read more

My wife had a wonderful experience here! She got talked into ordering a bigger size in a bridesmaids dress by the bridal studio where she ordered it. Needless to say, the dress ended up being absolutely enormous on her. Manola's was able to fix the dress so it fit perfectly. It did cost $100 but it was a lot to fix. The world of alterations is relatively new to me, since my height allows me to buy dresses off the rack without the worry of a pooling hem. However, I was in dire need of a seamstress for my wedding dress which is really the ultimate time to need the PERFECT place to go. Yes, the dress shop where I bought my wedding dress did recommend a place 45 minutes away from my house. Nice of them to do that, however, fun fact, most wedding dresses need MULTIPLE alteration visits if you don't have that corset back thingie, and in my case, my dress was ordered a whole dress size too big. So I wanted a local alterations place for my many visits. Thus, I went to Manola's, and they basically saved my wedding day. She resized and fixed my too big dress and had it perfectly hemmed. I also had my husband's suit pants tailored there, and my mom's dress was shortened. Now I am an alterations diva since I have a place I trust. I bought some pants online that were too long, and rather than upping my heel height, I had them hemmed, and they are prefect. Love this place! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would honestly. I came to Manola's to fix a suede jacket before my trip. I came on November 14 which was 2 months ahead of my departure date to get my suede jacket fixed well. She informed me it would be $47 to fix and I was okay with the price because honestly I saw she had nothing but great reviews so I didn't mind. She informed me that in 2 weeks the jacket would be ready. Meaning it be ready by the 30th of November. Well because work and life reasons I wasn't able to make it to the shop till December 29th. Would You believe when I walk in thT day the jacket wasn't ready. She made up some excuse saying the jacket had glue and they had to remove that before they could start sewing. She said to come back and on the 11th of January that the jacket will be ready. So I wait...January 11th arrives and I go pick up my jacket. Would you believe once more it's not ready. Her simple excuse is "oh sorry" I forgot. She had 2 months to do this job and did nothing at all their was no glue no nothing on that jacket. It looked the same from when I took it in. I took my jacket elsewhere. It will now be ready in 3 days. I advise you honestly think twice before coming here. They are lazy and just want to do simple little jobs to clothing jobs. read more

The owner was very friendly when I came in to have two gowns altered. One needed just a hem and the other needed both hem and adjusting of the top. As she was measuring, she made sure to ask questions for details. I needed one gown in two weeks and the other not for another month, so we agreed that they would each be ready according to when I needed it. When I went to pick up the first dress, I was surprised to find that both of my dresses were ready! I was feeling sick though, so I wasn't in the mood to try them on in the store. She offered a dressing room, but I took the risk and said I trusted her work and went on my way. Both gowns fit perfectly when I wore them to my separate events. Spent my whole afternoon being turned down or visiting other tailors because of how quick I needed my shirt fixed, which is for a wedding. This was my last place to visit for the day. The owner greeted me, but told me that they wouldn't be able to do it because of the amount of work needing to be finished. But she took my shirt and said but I can't turn you down and measured me and told me that it would be down by the next day.
