Summary: Manager refused to take responsibility for a food safety issue and accused me of lying. Had a really negative experience here tonight. Ordered a super supreme pizza and it came and obviously tasted good the pizza here is good, that wasn't the problem. I bit down on maybe my 4th or 5th slice and something hard hit my tooth. Inside my was a small flat bone maybe an inch long and a cm wide but flat. I called manoosh to inform them that there was a bone in my pizza, and that it looked like it was a ham bone, as maybe they would want to check other pizzas or be aware incase it had happened to anyone else. The manager offered to send me a free pizza and of course I said yes and figured I'd save one for later. The driver came and asked for the other pizza, when I said I'd eaten it he seemed confused and left but I did give him the bone in a ziplock bag so they could see what it might be. The manager called me back and told me it wasn't a ham bone and it must be a chicken bone and that it wasn't from there and that I must have been eating chicken and it must have fallen on the pizza- I told him no I ate the pizza straight from the box and nothing else was being eaten near by. He told me again that it couldn't have been on the pizza and that I must have been responsible. He said that he hoped that I was being truthful. I'm pretty disappointed that they would not accept responsibility for a food safety issue, gaslight me and accuse me of lying. Ain't no pizza that good. read more

There is something about this place that defeats my common sense. I walk there feeling a little hungry, and as soon as i step inside my brain goes "you know what, you should probably eat two whole pizzas and a couple of zaatar rolls. You should add haloumi to everything. Can't get enough of that delicious salty cheese." "and get a spinach pie. They're good too. " I sit and wait in anticipation for my food while my wallet quietly weeps. I feverishly attack my food as soon as it arrives. My common sense lies in wait for the moment I swallow my last morsel of deliciousness. "What did you do that for?" it asks, condescendingly. From that point on I have exactly fifteen minutes to be in bed before I pass out, unable to lie on my newly rotund stomach. I wake up, surrounded by empty cardboard, with a haloumi-garlic-zaatar cloud being chased around my room by the fan. All that said, no regrets. Totally worth it. I'll do it again in a heartbeat. Manoosh is amazing. They make the BEST Lebanese pizzas ever and the cheapest real pizzas in the Newtown/Enmore area (not including pizza hut/dominoes rubbish). There are traditional pizzas which are around $14 depending on what the toppings are, while the Lebanese pizzas are folded over calzone style or have a big cake of meat on the base. The zaatar wraps are also delicious, my favourite is the Beirut style which has haloumi cheese, roasted tomato and onion wrapped up in a warm pizza crust and smothered inside with the zaatar - oregano/seasame seed herb mix. Truly sumptuous and only $5.50. I get it without chilli. Add chicken for a couple of dollars and you are laughing. The cheese Lebanese pizza is good, with mozzarella, feta and haloumi. Also the haloumi pie is pretty much haloumi cheese in a folded up pastry with seasame seeds on top and is a must if you are a fan of this cheese. In the traditional pizzas go for the Manoosh special ($16) and add chicken if you like for $18 total. Again, the herby base gives a flavour that is unique and tasty. As far as garlic bread goes, the cheesy Caesar is an awesome creation. Pretty much garlic bread stuffed with chicken, mushrooms and cheese, with some Caesar dressing to pour over the top. Baklava sweets are exceptional (when super fresh) and the gelato is a fair whack of chilled goodness. Manoosh is so cheap that we have to order extra food when we get it delivered to make the $20 minimum. Wrap it up and eat it for lunch the next day! read more

The other reviews ain't wrong, in fact they couldn't be less wrong. The 'za here is get-your-freak-on delicious. So many different flava flavs. And yeah I called it 'za, if it's good enough for Stewie from Family Guy it's good enough for this guy. We got a chicken and feta and BBQ sauce pizza and while it wouldn't be my first choice (MOAR CHILLI!) it was still a bit of awwww yeah, son. Now. The gripe. We ordered a pizza and garlic bread to be delivered and they said cool, that'll be $23 and it'll take an hour, but we were pretty hungry so we said what the hey, we'll come and pick it up, see you soon friends. Walk into the place and see a giant person-sized sign saying all pizzas Mon-Tue-Wed are $9.95. The guy gives the cashier a nod and says "Make it $20." Cool, thanks. This Lebanese pizza joint is always packed with patrons cueing for takeaway, but being that it's round the corner from my house, I simply let it slip into the "too close to home to try" category. What a mistake that was! Man Oosh and I became fully acquainted last night after a day of hard work and an evening of strolling through The Rocks and picking pints over becoming peckish. It was one of the few places open along Enmore at 23:00 on a Tuesday, WAIT, TUESDAY, IS IT TUESDAY?!? That, that means, based on the special sign that we can have ANY TWO PIZZAS FOR $19.99! Yes, believe it or not, Man Oosh's Tuesday night takeaway special is just that! They let you select any two from their abundance of meat-based and vegetarian friendly pizzas..... But there was the instant kick of late-night takeaway apprehension that forces you to question whether or not what could potentially be the perfect end to an evening will become your morning-after regret. The vegetarian and vegan pizzas we ordered were made fresh in front of us and popped out of the oven in no more than ten minutes. The vegetarian was smouldering with melted fetta and haloumi, and the vegan was packed with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes and drizzled with a tahini-like spread. They were DEE-LICCCCIOOOUSSSS! I also discovered during my brief menu scan that they have tons of varieties of $5 vegetarian wraps and inexpensive sides of Middle Eastern dips like hummus and babaganoush for around $3. Now we're speaking the same language, Man Oosh! This is definitely not the type of place you'd want to take a date, no no; it's much more of a takeaway joint or quick-meal stopover that has a couple of plastic tables in and outside. But if a speedy snack or late-night meal is what you're craving, Man Oosh marks one of the best spots on Enmore. Oh holy haloumi!!!! Manoosh is delicious! Crisp, tasty, cheesy deliciousness! There is a great selection of pizzas but my favourite is the simple, amazing folded cheese pizza - it's so good I rarely confuse things with additional ingredients! Other cheesy wonders include the Haloumi Pie (OMG!!) and the Deluxe garlic bread (garlic bread stuffed with haloumi and mushrooms!!!)... Obviously haloumi is the way to my heart... but if that's not you're bag (you're crazy), there are desserts, yummy pizzas, salads and plenty more to satisfy! I've never been disappointed! read more

This is another one of those that I always walk past and have never tried... why God, whhhy have I never been here?!! They do serve traditional pizza, but I never order that unless I'm at a traditional Italian place. No... what has me ranting and raving about Man'oosh is the Man'oosh! Its basically tons of combinations of bread filled with zatar and haloumi and all melted together. They serve other things like Kibbeh and middle eastern treats and it's super cheapo. Not el cheapo like in Greenacre, but this is Enmore. Rent's plenty dearer! I had the Zatar Beirut style and I had the best one out of my little gang. Great selection of pizzas, za'atar bread and other snacks and desserts. Came here on a Wed night about 9pm the kitchen was still going flat out. Very well managed though service was still prompt. Pizza was good, base is of medium depth and toppings plentiful. Quite enjoyed the tahini sauce. Non-promo pizza prices are a little on the steep end imo. read more

YUM I'm not sure what the normal pizzas taste like, but the lebanese pizzas are delicious. We usually get a zataar pizza which is a thin pizza covered in spices - oregano, sesame etc and add haloumi - I thinks it's only about $5 and also grab a tabouli . This is a great place to grab a quick meal before a comedy show. There are seats both inside and on the pavement but don't expect anything fancy. This is definitely no frills with great taste. read more

Having lived in Petersham for a long part of my life (not now though), Manoosh was a staple to my diet. I was there when it first opened, a humble Lebanese bakery. Over the years, the owners have transformed Manoosh into an inner west institution. They are an example of how to run a restaurant. Constantly listening to their customers and providing top quality food (which is also delicious), a fast delivery service and extremely reasonable prices.
