The experience was great from the office manager to the owner to Francisco, the foreman, and his paint team - Oscar and Isaac. The price was very reasonable and included replacement of areas with wood rot. The painters arrived first thing in the morning every day. We recently had Manor Works complete a large interior and exterior project at our historical, custom designed home. It involved significant repairs to rotted wood and trim which was all completed to match the aesthetic of the original design. Alfredo's crew was excellent and ensured we were pleased with the end result. Definitely a true craftsman. The interior involved removal of wallpaper and fresh paint along with repairing several nail pops. All of it looked excellent once completed. This was definitely a professional crew and the foreman takes pride in his own work and that of his crew. The cost was reasonable and matched the quality of work. During the walk around to create the estimate, the owner did not try to sell us on any upgrades or work which was not required. From the time the estimator came to my home to the finished product, the process was absolutely seamless! I would not recommend Manor Works to anyone!!! We recently (09/2022) hired Victor and his company to paint and repair wood rot to the exterior of our home. He did not adequately give us an accurate estimate for the wood repair work. His employee, Alfredo, went around after the work was started and threw numbers at us for the costs of the additional repairs. The paint job was sloppy; everything we requested to be redone was countered with you are a liar and that there was nothing wrong with it. The worst part of the job was painting the metal basement railing, which was never sanded down, but instead painted over rust, and some parts were not even painted. Their excuse was, "you told us to do it this way." The foreman, Alfredo, took every opportunity to call my husband a liar and refused to do what he asked. The owner, Victor, never came to inspect the work upon completion (and create a "punch list"). Instead, he wanted to deduct $500 and call it a day. We had to insist he come per the contract before he agreed to show up, with an arrogant and nasty attitude. When he finally showed up, despite raising legitimate concerns over the quality of work, he tried to accuse us that we were using it as an "excuse." They simply refused to take any legitimate and concrete criticism about their performance. Beware, they also charge extra $ for using credit cards. Another way to rip customers off. Overall not a good experience. If you want to be constantly abused, called a liar, yelled at, or accused of all types of misdeeds, use Manor Works, Victor, and his crew, headed by Alfredo, the foreman. Otherwise, I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

They were able to come a day earlier than scheduled, worked long days, and cleaned up nicely after finishing the job. The consultant took his time with us and made sure he understood what we were looking for, our price point, and the extra precautions that needed to be taken in actually carrying out the work because I have very bad allergies and also suffer from migraines that can be triggered by strong smells, including paint. Let's put it this way: after I hired these guys to paint my bathroom, I decided it was a better idea to to the rest of my place myself. Over the course of the last year, I've probably painted about 800-900 sq ft of rooms. Before that I had pretty much no experience painting except chipping in on things like fences and house exteriors, which require little skill. I got the Manor Works "painter for a day," and first went through multiple rounds of scheduling issues. First, although I had confirmed via email that the painter was scheduled for a day, it was not in their system, so no one was available to come that day. The next time, they had more scheduling issues and sent two painters for half a day instead of one for a whole day. I work during the day, so this was an obvious pain. All of the work was in my tiny tiny condo bathroom, so I'm pretty sure I did not get the same money's worth out of those two guys tripping over each other in there than I would have been with one painter working all day, but I was not given any sort of discount. The job they did? The good: - The major work was to sand and repaint my bathroom ceiling, which was in bad shape. It looked great by the time they finished. - Walls generally looked nice as well, although they clearly only had time for one coat given the paint's dry time (I provided Benjamin Moore Kitchen and Bath) - They were good about dropcloths in my hallway and had no paint there The bad: - Sloppy edging along the metal border to my shower (I've since edged on metal - if you use tape you can get a near-perfect line) - Long drip of paint on the floor in the bathroom - fortunately it had not cured and I was able to get it up with my fingernails - Area above the door not painted - there's not a lot of space here, but I am going to go back in and do it myself with a small brush as they should have done They finished up right at the 4-hour mark so I expect they were rushing at the end. Again it was not a very efficient 4 hours. So, my advice, unless you have something really terrible that needs to be done (like sanding the hell out of a bathroom ceiling before repainting it), do it yourself. I bought a $30 Wagner hand crank/pump roller from Amazon, and the other needed accessories, including TAPE, and did the rest of my place myself (I did do a lot of reading on the Internet to learn how to paint properly). If you use tape properly (press down on it with a putty knife to prevent bleeding), you can do a much better job than at least these pros. read more

Manor Works Happy to report the results of the paint job and other tasks that were performed at our home last week. Your team (Alfredo, José, and Patrick) certainly worked as a solid team to get the work done. Alfredo parceled the work between the three where you could see work getting done efficiently and on time. They arrived at our home on both days at the time they promised and left just before dark. Everything was protected with either tarps or plastic to avoid paint getting on our personal belongings. Obviously, prep time took the longest and it was the most critical for a job well done. My HOA recommends these guys but I find them to be extremely difficult to work with and overpriced. Don't ever expect for them to show up on the day you schedule. You have to check their online scheduler yourself to see when they have time to get to you because I guarantee that they will not show up on the date you requested and no one will call you in advance. Even then, they twice failed to come on the day they said they would. I had signed a contract for exterior and interior work. When I requested that the date for the interior project be pushed back, I started getting nasty e-mails that they were taking me off the calendar and demanding immediate payment on the balance on the contract. Terrible customer service! We were going with them until now because our Board recommended it but I will never use them again. read more

Great painters. This is the 7th time we've used this business in the past 20 years. Each time we have been very pleased. This time we were especially pleased as we were on a tight timeframe -- just bought a new house and had 1 week to get it painted. They extra painters over to paint our house so it could be finished in time to meet our deadline. Additionally, we had some small carpentry tasks that had to be completed - like taking down a chair rail and fixing a closet prior to painting - and they did those as well. The price is a little higher than many of the painters in the area but it is WELL WORTH IT. No drips of paint on the floor; all the corners painted nicely; trim painted evenly -- there is absolutely nothing I can say negative about this group. I highly recommend them. read more
