Before we placed our male GSD, Moose, into the behavior class he was crazy and didn't listen. He was a very hyper and independent 1 year old. I had just had a baby and was very overwhelmed by his behavior. I knew we had to do something! I found Mans Best Friend on Facebook and a couple of months later we were on the way to drop off Moose for the 30 day program. 30 some days later when we went to pick up Moose I could immediately tell a huuuuge difference. The trainer came out with Moose and walked him right past us, the whole time he walked right by her side! I was so amazed! My dog was seriously walking next to her and not pulling at all! The next couple hours the trainer showed us everything Moose had learned (the down command and recall). Now that Moose has had this class he is a totally different dog! I feel comfortable having him outside knowing what when I call him he will come to me right away and lay down when I tell him to (and not get up until i say so) If you are considering this trainer I highly recommend her! It is WORTH it. (Photo of my boy for attention)

    Oliver on a "down" command.

My husband and I waited a very long time after we lost our last dog ( 19 yrs). We finally got a puppy (Oliver) and fell in love with this little guy. After the cuteness wore off we discovered we had a very disrespectful dog, becoming the boss in our family. Both of us were bitten multiple times on our hands, unable to walk him without him fighting the leash, and I became so intimidated. I felt so bad, but we didn't have the tools to begin to correct the situation. Our daughter recommended Mans Best Friend as they had exceptional experience for 3 of their dogs. Upon reviewing their website, I discovered that MBF also offered a 1 hour Puppy Evaluation. We made an appointment and met with Shannon Walker. She was so thorough explaining her methods and philosophy that she has used during her 27 years of dog training experience. We loved the way she interacted with Oliver. She was calm and never raised her voice while learning some of his issues. She instructed us on how to begin to correct his bad habits. After two weeks at home trying to correct Oliver, we called Shannon to discuss our lack of progress. She was extremely supportive and understood how we were feeling toward our puppy. It was a mutual agreement to enroll him into the 30 day boarded training. It was a difficult decision but the outcome was beyond amazing!! We now have a very well trained 6 month old puppy who draws such attention when we walk him. "He is so well behaved", " such a great walker", "how do you get him to sit or lay down" are the comments we hear daily. There is no more biting, jumping on us or our guests or other bad habits he would exhibit on a daily basis. He is no longer the "leader of our pack". In short Shannon Walker and the other trainers and staff at Mans Best Friend turned our unruly puppy into a calm, well mannered member of our family. We cannot express adequately how his training has changed our lives and Olivers. If this sounds familiar to anyone, do yourself and family a favor... call Shannon Walker at Mans Best Friend. She will take your dog and work with him or her in a professional, respectful and caring way. You will be glad you did.

That should tell you everything you need to know about their training. That horrifying fact aside, they didn't kennel train him or potty train him. Reached out after bringing him home where he peed on the floor 5 times in a three hour period. They said he needed to be on a schedule (that is unreasonable for anyone who isn't retired where they can interact with their dog every hour) then sent me three YouTube videos to train the dog on potty training myself. Which is hilarious because the first video explains how to potty train using the kennel...which would be great if they kennel trained him. But they undeniably did not. He'll bark for HOURS in his kennel even after being fed, walked, and gone to the bathroom. Asked for at least a 50% refund since they finished teaching him how to sit (we already started this and had this working most of the time) taught him how to lay down (we didn't care about that) and taught him how to place (we also didn't care about that) everything else we asked for and was offered on their site for the board and train (which is about 8 or so things) was not trained. Their solution to not get him to pull on a leash was to give him a prong collar. Cool, except not. They stopped responding and issued no refund. Have disputed it with the bank as I've clearly been scammed and didn't get anything nearly out of this for what I paid for. I've reached out to two other dog trainers. One saw him 4 days after he left their facility to confirm what was and wasn't trained. They've confirmed whatever Enzo's claims to have trained him for potty training and kennel training were false. He howls for hours in his kennel and still had accidents. Total waste of $2,500. Save your money, go somewhere else if you want anything trained into your dog that isn't "sit"

I wrote a review about my dog being injured when I got him back and had zero response from the trainers at all. They blamed the metal on the ecollar and said he might be allergic to the metal and suggested that he may need the hypoallergenic version (which is funny because I bought that collar and gave them the entire contents of the box that included the one they were talking about him possibly needing) As I've already written a review about that experience, I don't want to go into too much detail... but as it was so long ago I can't update the post at all, as I'm looking at getting my younger dog into a board and train soon I was given more resources from reputable trainers to know whether a training facility has met certain requirements or not in order to know if you should take your dog there. Well I just happened to be curious and did a search for Enzo's acres on these resources and come to find out they aren't a certified member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers... or any other training association that I can find. I thought I would make sure that this information is out there so people can make an educated decision of where to take their beloved pets to. This picture is of one of the 2 wounds that my dog came home with from Enzo's acres. It required an emergency vet visit and antibiotics. What was the worst was they didn't even mention it to me at all! They also removed my review of them on Facebook and blocked me from commenting/replying on anything on their page. That is HORRIBLE business practice as I only went there due to amazing reviews. So if they deleted my review and blocked me I ABSOLUTELY KNOW they did it to others as well. This is HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!

She also took time to explain how Mack's daily life should look at home to help set us up for success. Thank you Grace at the battground location. Mack really did not like men and even would try to nip them as they walked by. He was afraid of the world and even though we took him everywhere since he was a puppy he was so fearful of everything. Yesterday we took him to a tap house we frequent and in the past Mack would hide behind us and not let any strangers touch him. Yesterday he let everyone say hi and even approached men to get pets on his own. Today on our walk he walked with confidence and was not fearful and we both strolled with confidence and ease. Yesterday I already suggested Enzo's to two people who were very impressed with Mack as other dogs were barking and he just hung out unbothered. We cannot thank you enough and we look forward to Mack's increased confidence and his example out and about of what Enzo's can do!

If I didn't, she would bolt out of the house and it would become humans herding the herding dog. She would almost always trip me when taking her for a walk and there was one time she took off and pulled the lead out of my hand and almost got hit by a car. In the house, she targeted and chased my cats. I was hoping being a puppy, she would adapt as she grew with them.... Boy, I was wrong. I was telling my frustrations with the above to a coworker one afternoon. He told me of Jill at Countryside Kennels and what they did for his 2 Dobermans 10 years ago. He said that he took 2 unruly dogs down to them, left them for 4 weeks, picked them up after a few hours of training the humans. He said that his family got back perfect dogs. I got their number from my coworker and reached out to Countryside. I talked with Erin for more specifics. I wanted to see if they still professionally trained dogs since 10 years ago was a long time. She explained everything to me and what was expected. I was very happy with what they had to offer so decided to go for it. They were already booked out into March 2019 but Erin offered to put me on a cancellation list. A month went by and I got a call asking if I would like to take her to them the beginning of December 2018. I jumped on it! What I got back is a loving dog who has major self-control! I have no problems with her running off... or even going through a door without permission. The best part is at dinner time, I say Mindi go to your bed... she goes and I tell her to stay while we cook dinner and eat. This can take an hour to an hour and a half or so. Mindi stays put and she is a real good and loving puppy that likes to keep us happy. Jill warned me that she may still be nasty to the cats... I am pleased to say that they can co-exist in the same room with my cats! She is much more obedient...... I mean She is now obedient! She was not before. Thanks so much Jill and Erin! I am a disabled combat veteran, but do not qualify for a 'service animal' from non-profits because I do not have the 'correct' diagnosis, even though I suffer from the same exact symptoms as those with PTSD. My wife's mother, who lives in Europe, recently had a stroke and my wife has been by her side since early August. If I hope to see my wife at all over the next several years, because of her and my commitment to ensure that her mother gets the care and attention she deserves, we needed to be much closer than the Pacific NW, hence our uprooting. In order to have Kemper fly with me in the cabin on a grueling 10-hour trans-Atlantic flight, he needed some several skills which he was lacking when we adopted him from the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society after six years of being abandoned and abused, for no reason, by one owner after another. Even with his unjust and unconscionable treatment early in life, he is one of the sweetest and dogs I have ever known. Julie and Kemper quickly developed a strong bond and she was willing to work with me one-on-one, tailoring a training plan for both of us to get us where we need to be with just two months before boarding the plane. Having a Master's in Psychology, I am an expert in operant and classical conditioning, but lacked the understanding of how dogs think, so Julie was training both of us along the way. Kemper picked-up on things quickly and me, not so much, but we were compelled to get the job done and succeed in our mission, no room for error. Paws Down is not exactly cheap when it comes to private training, but Julie did not charge for travel time to our home and routinely stayed after the allotted one-hour appointment times. Yesterday, less than two months after starting with Julie, Kemper passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test and his certificate is on the way, arriving well before we need it for travel to our new home. Thank you Paws Down and Julie for helping me ensure that my support animal and I make it safely to Europe, reuniting our family after moths apart.
