As explained I have significant cognitive issues. I felt rushed to sign the contract as I was assured they did this type of training, while giving a large down payment. Later after looking over the contract thoroughly and having someone look it over for me, the contract was very concerning as there were no guarantees of any type of training and "service training" was no where to be found. I messaged Ethan the day after our "complimentary eval." and signing the contract stating I was concerned with the contract texts continued back and forth for the next few days where as I stated multiple times I wanted to cancel and to refund my down payment as services at not been rendered yet. He refused, stating I signed a contract and can not get out of it. No refunds. Training has already started. Even though no training has started and was not scheduled to start for a week after signing. I would personally think, especially given the circumstances, that the integrity of their business would be more important than this. I am now having to contact the Atty. General's office, the BBB as well as the ADA for assistance. I am on a very limited income and I still need to have my fur baby trained to be my service animal. My belief is that they were hoping this would be too much stress for me, overwhelming me (as I explained happens), therefore, I would simply not move forward as I specifically stated I would. I have however, given them ample time to do the right thing.

Kimberly took him in for 3 weeks and turned everything around. Reggie came back a much more obedient and happy dog. We have been able to enjoy him so much more and now he feels like a part of our family. He is so much better! If we get another dog in the future we will definitely go to her for further training. Kimberly was so easy going, she addressed all of our concerns, gave us frequent updates, and she continues to check in with us to see how Reggie is doing.

I reached out for an update and received a photo and message saying Lilo was nervous but doing okay. After that, communication became extremely poor. I repeatedly had to reach out myself just to get any information about my dog, and many times I received no response at all. Kimberly explained that an internet pole near her home was down, which made communication difficult, but as a dog owner paying a significant amount of money for a board-and-train program, I still expected consistent updates and communication about my dog's wellbeing and progress. What was most frustrating was that I never received clear information about what training was actually being done with Lilo. I received very few updates, mostly just photos, and there was little to no explanation about the training methods, progress, or follow-up plan. The lack of communication caused me over a week of stress and worry wondering if my dog was okay. Unfortunately, after bringing Lilo home, I also noticed behavioral changes that were concerning to me. She came back significantly more nervous and reactive than before the program, barking at nearly every sound and appearing much more anxious overall. In the end, I decided to pull Lilo from the program early. Spending around $1,500 for an experience that left me anxious, uninformed, and concerned about my dog's behavior afterward was incredibly disappointing. I believe communication, transparency, and proper follow-up are extremely important when someone is trusting you with their pet, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.

All the current active staff working at this specific location have demonstrated & proven how extremely capable & exhaustively knowledgeable as trainers, dog behavior specialists, groomers, etc. They have exceedingly created a trustworthy controlled environment setting that makes me reassuringly safe to entrust the safety & wellbeing of my 4-legged son. They have gone above & beyond for my puppy & I could not praise/thank them enough for their time, energy & effort to nurture my puppy's confidence & needs. Including assessing & addressing his trauma triggers being bullied as the "runt" of his litter, that occurred prior to his rescue. I am thoroughly enthralled with their most adorable & transparently informative daily report cards that are released after their daycare reservation. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to cultivate & nurture their doggo-puppers development & overall wellbeing (with a heaping side of well deserved spoiled treatment)! Will definitely be a continuing member, as long as they will have Beemo & I, after we officially move to the PNW.

WOW! What a difference three weeks with Taylor and board & train at A Dogs Best Friend can make…read more Holy smokes. We are so happy and very proud of our dog's progress and have so much to thank Taylor for. Folks send their dogs to board and train programs for many reasons. For us, we wanted support honing previously learned skills, learning recall, and curbing a few unwanted behaviors such as excitedly lunging and jumping at people, fence fighting, and barking. We were nervous about so many things. What would we do without our boy for three weeks? Would his sweet and playful personality be the same when he returned? Could we stick to it and reinforce his learning at the end of it all? The three weeks away were tough. But we timed it with a family vacation which helped a lot. As for the dog we picked up at the end; Ozzie is the exact same amazingly sweet and playful dog. But he is so much more confident, calm, and responsive. He honestly seems like a much happier dog. Almost like he feels and shares the pride we have in him. And with the tools and confidence it has given us, we can now give him the fulfilling life he deserves. THANK YOU, TAYLOR! We look forward to continuing this journey with you.
