I understand that money is money, and time is very precious to money hungry people, I did tell them that I will pay the same amount, but if my fur-baby does not cooperate, to please stop and I will pay them the same amount either way. This was our 2nd time in this location. The owner was kind before, when the business was new. During that first time we went there, it took her 4 hours long, (because again my baby is not easy) and the owner at that time, as tired as she was (then) she kindly offered for us to come back another day. HOWEVER, This last time, at a time when her business is doing well, my dog came out with blood shot eyes, after a rushed (less than 2 hours) service for a difficult dog, she says that it was because my dog was matted, and true as she was, over time, I have experienced competent, caring groomers who are still very capable of treating her well in whichever situation. & in the first place, AGAIN, I told them that if my dog will not cooperate, and will be difficult, as how I know my princess to be... to please STOP and NOT continue and they will get paid whatever money is owed. The owner rudely said to me (that last time) "Then take your dog to San Diego" and "We cannot spend more than 2 hours in 1 dog" This place has become - Money over compassion kind of business. Shame how the owner changed, and who she turned out to be. I am leaving this here as a Fair warning to people with squirmy dogs, who are not easy to be groomed. Take your pups to a place where groomers have compassion, rather than greed.

I notice this is a community with a ton of dog owners than any other kind of pet. I love that they have a ton of treats at the entrance for dogs. Lots of toys for all types of breeds. They also sell aquarium food and fishes even a few birds in the store. This location also offers grooming and pet training classes as well. I found everything in stock for items I needed for my puppy while on the road. Overall a positive experience with amazing staff. Highly recommend this store a visit especially if you own a dog you will definitely find everything you need.

I recently adopted my pet from man's best friend and did not experience anything that the previous post had stated. I have also gotten my dog groomed there. The people there are wonderful and very accommodating. When you walk onto the Man's Best Friend lot you are welcomed by cats, chickens and a very homey feeling. It is obvious that Dee not only cares about all of the animals that are in her care, but that she has made her home their home. She is caring for many animals and has made it her life's ambition to find a good home for them. I have seen her out and about in the community at different pet adoptions trying to find good homes for all of her pets. And when you do adopt from Man's Best Friend your pet will be spayed or neutered and they give you a goody bag with toys and treats for your animal. You will also receive a voucher for a free check up at Vet's office. She is a good woman with a big heart and I would hate for any pets not to be adopted because of someone trying to slander the facilities name. I would recommend you see for yourself and not base your opinion on some that was irate when they wrote the review. read more

I have never taken the time to post comments. This just could not be pasted up. As a small business owner I am very aware of how important word of mouth can be, when it comes to your reputation. This gina b character is every business' nightmare. She is trying to discredit someone's business out of some kind of self centered stupidity. She calls for boarding her dog a little late, try 11:00 at night. How many businesses would even answer their phone rather lone be civil. If this gina is such an expert why doesn't she no that unneutered dogs take more care. Like they are many times aggressive toward other dogs and they hike their leg all over the place. Any Vet. in town that would give Dee Forbey a bad rap is not a Vet any one should want to take their animal to in the first place. It's probably one that looked after the kitten gina fostered that she let die. You want an animal for a pet that fits you and your lifestyle go to Dee Forbey their is no one better. read more

This "establishment" is absolutely horrific!! I don't even need to tell you how bad this place is; just stop by and you will immediately know what I am talking about! Very poor customer service, very poor treatment of animals, very dirty place, there is no room to put all these animals! I think it's ironic that this place is supposed to be rescuing animals when they are actually harming them! I will be definitely be reporting this so called "business" to the Better Business Bureau. PLEASE help me in shutting this business down. I would love to see someone else in the area come up with a more practical rescue for animals. PLEASE STOP BY AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. read more

Gina b. does not know Dee Forbey. Can't even spell her name right. I have used Dee's boarding and grooming services for many many years. What a nasty and tasteless posting. The reason you should neuter that boy of yours is six million dogs were euthanized last year due to over population. If you love and respect the animals that are already here you would not breed your dog or cat. If you knew Dee you would not believe how hard she works for all the animals in this area. My appointment for my dog was made for Monday June 7 and when I dropped him off to get groomed, the girl spoke no English so I was basically talking more with my hands, it was very frustrating. I was telling her I want the bear haircut for him. She nodded yes. When I arrived 3 hours later to pick him up, I realized she either didn't know what I told her I wanted or she doesn't know how to do the Bear haircut. My dog was acting very high stressed for a day and half. On the back of his legs, I noticed two bald spots and a bold spot right next to his eye. I was very upset about that one. I will never take my dog there again. My dog has a very cute tail, like a Maltese tail and she even made that ugly by making it look like a rat tail. My dog is a Yorkie Poo. Luckily hair grows back but my dog could of lost his site.

I ended up adopting a Chipin & love her very much. Never would I have looked at that breed for myself but, she is perfect for our family. Thank you for all of your hard work & love you give these animals. The adoption fees are reasonable. Especially because your dog will be spayed/neutered, chipped, and vaccinated.
