The food was great and well priced. I've been here a few times for breakfast and each time I came I left happy. I always get just a basic breakfast, so eggs, hashbrowns, toast will do it for me. The coffee is weak and tasted awful. The eggs were over cooked and supposed to be sunny side up, sausage was like rubber. The potatoes were raw. I liked the avocado toast but the egg was well done. Service was average she never asked if we liked our food and saw a full cup of coffee not touched my husband ordered, and didn't ask why. I had to pay $3.50 for a shot of espresso just to drink mine. We love brunch and try to find local places who offer it. We decided to try Mansour's because it looked like a cute place. When we arrived they were pretty busy, but we were seated after a few minites. We didn't see a price for the brunch, but opted for it anyway. We were a little shocked when we got the bill for two people and it was almost $60. The only beverages included were coffee/juice. Not even a mimosa or bloody mary for that price. And they were very slow to refill any of your drinks. After going without for quite a while we were finally given refills. For the price the service is quite lacking. We've been to busy brunch spots and have always gotten great service. Even in Alexandria, VA, which is a pretty affluent area the prices weren't that high and the service and food are way better. We'll go elsewhere next time. read more

An old grocery store turned liquor store turned cafe, this is a nice spot to stop for lunch. It's a nice change of pace from the normal wing and pizza places that dominate the area. Inside decor is modern, but with remnants of the old grocery store. Typical lunch menu items in the form of burgers, salads and sandwiches, but the quality and taste is anything but typical. The turkey club has just the right amount of everything, so no single item overpowered any other, with just the right amount of mayo. Served with macaroni salad or chips and pickle. They must have been out of the Mac salad, as they substituted oil/vinegar pasta salad, which was pretty good but could have used a little more flavor. The staff was quick and friendly, always keeping your drink full. Would definitely stop here again and recommend it to others. read more

There are a couple great things about this place. One, its always nice to step into a building and have your scenery change so much you forget you are in a small town most people consider dying. (Which i disagree about) An absolutely beautiful place to eat or shop. Breakfast sandwiches here are fresh and authentic. Everything is made to order for the most part and the granana (a banana covered in peanut butter, rolled in granola and dried fruit, and drizzled with honey) is an unavoidable must have. The lunch specials are the way to go in my opinion and the prices are extremely approachable for such a classy business. read more

Tried this place based on reviews and 2nd hand info. Went for lunch today(Saturday) and as others have mentioned, service was a tad slow- not in the aspect of attention but in the time it took to receive food. We had a turkey burger and turkey club- both very good but it seemed to take a while to get it. Also- menu is slightly limited. There are few sides available. There's no coleslaw, no potato salad, no french fries, just a bag of chips. Speaking of chips, our waitress asked us if we would like to split a bag of chips. Really, I pay $9.00 for a sandwich and can't even get my own bag of chips??? Strange.... But I digress... the food was good,chocolate cake was excellent, the decor and building are really cool which provides an experience but I would like to see more menu options and slightly faster service. Went for the breakfast/brunch buffet today and loved it. Our large reservation time for party of 12 was handled perfectly. Food was excellent, both hot and fresh and buffet items were always refilled. Service was also fantastic especially Ann Marie who went above and beyond. I'm going to go ahead and give this place 5 stars. Even though some times i sit there for a while before they even take my drink order (yes even when i am sitting at the bar). But the food is great. Very limited menu, and it doesn't change much, but still very good non the less. It is also only about 4 or 5 blocks from my apartment, that gives it some bonus points. The inside is beautiful. all i can say is, i love it inside. you can find my girlfriend and myself eating here at least on Saturday morning a month. some friends were at a wedding reception upstairs. they said it was really nice up there and they had a blast. i saw photos (about 150 of them) they had a good time, and it was nice. This is a pretty classic breakfast spot with an awesome brunch and breakfast menu. They sometimes do a buffet that's really good. My favorite thing that I have gotten is this smoked salmon cream cheese spread. They don't always have it but when they do, it's well worth. I would go here whenever I'm in Scranton. read more

I tour around the U.S. And eat at a lot of places. The space and ambience are nice but the staff is rude from top to bottom. It survives due to a lack of competition. The food is good. Breakfast should be served later on weekends. I recognize this is a thing for the owner or chef but it's self indulgent. People want brunch. read more

I love Mansour's. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the service. I often visit during lunch and it is difficult to get in and out in less than 45 minutes. That's my only complaint, and it's a minor one. The decor beautiful and the food is delicious. I just wish they were a little closer to downtown so I could visit more often. read more

Mansour's is among the most beautiful restaurants in the area. It's in a classy old building that has clearly been cared for over the years and set with a vintage decor. It looks like a classic soda shop or ice cream bar (of which they serve a limited variety) and has a lounge area with sofas and window seats. The food can be a little pricey compared to similar fare elsewhere (it's a breakfast and sandwich place for the most part) but if it's true that built into the cost of your meal is the surrounding environment, then the food comes at a bargain because the place is so pleasant. There's nothing to die for on the menu; everything is well made but nothing has really stood out so far. The Granana is well worth your time - peanut butter covered banana rolled in granola and honey drizzled. They have good coffee and espresso and they have fresh squeezed orange juice. They also make an effort toward using local foods in their dishes, which I realize isn't important to everyone, but I think it's a nice, thoughtful gesture and they don't really advertise that fact so they aren't just doing it for marketing purposes. You will on occasion, particularly on Saturdays, have below average service times. It really isn't a matter of preposterously long wait times, but it's noticeably slower. That's the one thing I can say in the negative. All in all, it's a fair price to pay for the ambience. Full disclosure: my wife and I were so taken by the building that we incorporated it into our wedding pictures. It may be that I have an emotional rather than rational attachment to this restaurant because of that, but all this said, it's a fine place for breakfast, lunch or coffee and one of Scranton's finest locales. read more

Food was good, but very overpriced. My 3 year old ordered French toast. It was 1 slice of bread and cost $4.95. Coffee was not hot but besides that it was not good. We expected much better quality coffee instead it was basically same or worse than what you can get at a gas station. Our breakfast dishes were good, but nothing above average quality. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The building is great and the inside decor is very quaint. I really wanted to like this place. The service was horrible. I was there for breakfast and only one other table was occupied and it took forever just to get coffee. Then when the food finally did arrive we started to eat to find hair in my husbands food. Which then turned me off of my food. On top of that i had ordered this delicious sounding banana concoction to have never recieved it. So diappointing. read more

We stopped in for breakfast on our way up to Niagara Falls. There's not much going on in this neighborhood, but Mansour's would be an oasis just about anywhere. The inside is just adorable, as others have mentioned. Painted tin ceiling, beautiful tile floors, long wooden counter lined with stools and baked goods. It definitely evokes a bygone era. The place is spotlessly clean and the service was great. We tried the Granana--worth a stop on its own. Why have I never thought of this?! We also had omelettes--mine portobello with sautéed onions and avocado, and hubby the Murazzo. The omelettes were good. The fillings were great, but the eggs themselves were a touch over cooked. The kids had French toast and a Kids scrambled egg with toast. They devoured them enthusiastically. Food was a 4.25, but considering the place is impeccably clean, bathrooms spotless, service capable and cheerful, and a sit-down breakfast for 4 was under $40 with tip--giving it 5. All in all, a great experience. If I were a local, I'd be here all the time. read more

We came to Mansour's Market on Sunday for brunch. They have a mandatory all you can eat brunch buffet for $18 per person + tax + 20% gratuity. It came out to be $46 for two people for average food. The 20% gratuity is fairly steep for self service. I would not recommend this for a Sunday brunch spot. read more
