Bought a one-off one of a kind Moonstone Jr Electric Spanish from their Reverb store. Guitar was packed exceptionally well and arrrived in 4 days. The guitar was set up out of the box and as pictured online- plus they answered all my messages without delay. I'd buy a guitar from them again for sure

    Great guitar selection

Great spot in Eureka for all your music needs, they have guitars, drums, amps, piano, strings, sticks and picks. Love coming here because the folks here are super knowledgeable and will answer all your questions and give advice. The prices are fair and the selection is awesome! Recommend

Very condescending response to my question. Horribly rude customer service from Mantovas; treated like a number, and called "unprofessional"
    Steven N.

I had an interaction with this shop in which an employee told me, quote "do you really think buying this item is a good idea if you say you don't have money". I found it to be an incredibly inappropriate way for a retail store associate to speak to a customer. I was very cordial and civil while explaining who I am as a musician, and asked about a small deal for an item I found better prices of elsewhere. The worker got very defensive.. started being quite disrespectful and demeaning, saying i would be taking food out of his mouth, and that i am very "unprofessional" and that "he won't cave in to my request.. we get questions like this all day everyday", they went on to explain. What ever happened to being nice? Working with your potential customers and having a bit of sympathy and understanding for peoples' situations? and in 2020 amid a pandemic? Something seems to be going on beneath the surface here at Mantova's.. I sense a frustrated staff, ready to take it out on people who shop there. What are they without their customers, really? Seems like the new owner brothers, and/or the staff they hire is not in the right line of work, and aren't properly trained in the fine art of customer service, retail negotiations, and being a true music sales/service company. My sense is that they are going under soon and we are witnessing the beginning of a few-year downfall in which they will no longer be able to keep their doors open, sadly. I don't recommend walking in to this store or shopping with them online unless you want to get talked down to, told when or how to spend your money, and belittled as if you are being reprimanded by a parent figure. Not a nice feeling as an adult and life-long musician.

    More new gear from Mantova's!

All I was trying to do is hook a microphone to a speaker. Little more complicated than I realized. They were a super great help.

One time Jimmy bought a 100-year-old button-key squeeze-box that was there on consignment -sitting on a shelf, broken, dusty, and sad.

We arrived at 5:45 and our food order arrived at about 7pm. There was no warning our food order would be late until at least 20 minutes after we ordered. Then we were told the kitchen was a little behind, and about every 10 minutes after that we were told our food would arrive soon. When the food arrived my mash potatoes were cold at the center. When the waitress checked back with about whether we liked our food I told her it was good but my potatoes were cold. Of course the waitress apologized. The restaurant reduced the cost of my entree by 20%. Although the kitchen got behind I believe this was actually a failure of management. If the kitchen was understaffed they knew it and should have reduced the number of tables being served, or spaced out seating more customers until the kitchen caught up. I also noticed that as tables turned over newly seated customers were warned the kitchen was behind, but never told how far behind. I hope Gallagher's improves.

We were not disappointed. Jordan was our server and he took very good care of us. He was friendly and attentive. We all got the Captain's Platter. The servings were generous with enormous scallops and shrimp and beautiful big fish fillets. None of us could eat the whole meal so we took it home and air fried the next day. We considered this a good value because we actually got six meals for the price of three. We were served quickly and enjoyed the oldies played in the background.

Under normal circumstances I would have just walked out when I saw/heard the place, but we were at the end of our rope in finding a place to eat and we were very hungry. When my wife asked about a quiet place, the greeter kindly offered a place behind the activity and asked if that would be ok...then offered to turn off the music to the section that we were seated in. The waiter was professional and helpful. The fish and chips, and tacos were excellent, and I got to try a beer flight, so I'll know which of their beers to buy where I live. Usually my wife and I differ on the size of the tip, and she started to try to talk me into a lower tip, but stopped herself and said that the greeter was so helpful, and the service so good that she agreed that a larger tip was warranted. ...I almost decided not to come here at all because I was irritated by learning about the 3% fee they add to your bill...but I'm really glad that I wasn't so close-minded.

This is an exception Pepe was the best waiter that we've had anywhere in the longest time. Excellent suggestions excellent service and really listened. We wanted to add something extra to our item that we ordered regardless of how much extra it cost and we express that we wanted a lot of it. Not only did he pass that on to the kitchen absolutely accurately they performed what he asked for. He was the first line of connection and communication so I give him credit for sure and special things to the kitchen for performing the exact. I noticed many people did NOT know this was available, and ordered their own nibbles(identical type of snacks). I basically ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. And as I walked around taking my Yelp pictures, I noticed the snack table, thank you. Atmosphere - What a huge location. The actual lounge was just okay in size, but they are connected to the historic Eagle House and I did not know where the businesses started or ended. Indoor/outdoor dining. Not sure what event was happening today, but there was a live DJ, snacks, etc. Not sure if it was open to the public...? Or if I crashed another party? Either way, I had a great time. Just checked your website; cut and pasted: "Tropical Vibes Happy Hour with DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora - Join us for some tropical vibes at Phatsy Klines Parlor Lounge, enjoy some delicious cocktails and tasty treats. DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora will be playing Afro beats with some Latin & Reggae Vibes sprinkled in the mix. Free all ages event." Service - Crazy busy, but they still did a good job managing the crowd. Price - $12 + generous tip. Owner Comments - Congrats on your success since 2017 and sorry to hear about the closure of your sister restaurant Tavern 1888. I was looking forward to visiting them also.

On the national historical registry since 2010. the wife and I were there one evening recently for an ArMack Orchestra performance, the sound within the auditorium is very good and I'm sure in her prime she was a grand venue, but this building has definitely seen better days. The first thing I noticed was the "mushy" smell when you walk into this large space - mold, dust and disrepair are apparent. The art deco interior is still very much there and intact - mostly just needs an update after all the years of neglect. Great stylized cut glass wall sconces, and stylized cut glass overhead light fixtures along with the lobby entrance and foyer details reveal just how great this grand structure was back in its day. High ceiling soar overhead and two huge murals - left and right of the stage reminded me that this used to be a place where people in the town gathered regularly in a different era. This space is now a multicultural facility for the performing arts and monthly movies. Also available for rent for special events, weddings, parties, concerts, etc. This is a special place within old Town downtown Eureka that needs to be used to keep her alive, and is in need of some loving restoration to keep around for future generations. Still a 4 Star venue for all of its awesome architectural details that still exist after seven plus decades. And, a venue that has the potential to be a true 5 star gem - with a little help. 00127
