Bought a one-off one of a kind Moonstone Jr Electric Spanish from their Reverb store. Guitar was packed exceptionally well and arrrived in 4 days. The guitar was set up out of the box and as pictured online- plus they answered all my messages without delay. I'd buy a guitar from them again for sure

    Great guitar selection

Great spot in Eureka for all your music needs, they have guitars, drums, amps, piano, strings, sticks and picks. Love coming here because the folks here are super knowledgeable and will answer all your questions and give advice. The prices are fair and the selection is awesome! Recommend

Very condescending response to my question. Horribly rude customer service from Mantovas; treated like a number, and called "unprofessional"

I had an interaction with this shop in which an employee told me, quote "do you really think buying this item is a good idea if you say you don't have money". I found it to be an incredibly inappropriate way for a retail store associate to speak to a customer. I was very cordial and civil while explaining who I am as a musician, and asked about a small deal for an item I found better prices of elsewhere. The worker got very defensive.. started being quite disrespectful and demeaning, saying i would be taking food out of his mouth, and that i am very "unprofessional" and that "he won't cave in to my request.. we get questions like this all day everyday", they went on to explain. What ever happened to being nice? Working with your potential customers and having a bit of sympathy and understanding for peoples' situations? and in 2020 amid a pandemic? Something seems to be going on beneath the surface here at Mantova's.. I sense a frustrated staff, ready to take it out on people who shop there. What are they without their customers, really? Seems like the new owner brothers, and/or the staff they hire is not in the right line of work, and aren't properly trained in the fine art of customer service, retail negotiations, and being a true music sales/service company. My sense is that they are going under soon and we are witnessing the beginning of a few-year downfall in which they will no longer be able to keep their doors open, sadly. I don't recommend walking in to this store or shopping with them online unless you want to get talked down to, told when or how to spend your money, and belittled as if you are being reprimanded by a parent figure. Not a nice feeling as an adult and life-long musician.

    More new gear from Mantova's!

All I was trying to do is hook a microphone to a speaker. Little more complicated than I realized. They were a super great help.

We were not disappointed. Jordan was our server and he took very good care of us. He was friendly and attentive. We all got the Captain's Platter. The servings were generous with enormous scallops and shrimp and beautiful big fish fillets. None of us could eat the whole meal so we took it home and air fried the next day. We considered this a good value because we actually got six meals for the price of three. We were served quickly and enjoyed the oldies played in the background.

As a north east girlie who loves trying cheesesteaks from all over, I am pleased to say this cheesesteak was quite tasty - especially the "beer cheese". The menu had TONS of great Irish options but I was in the mood for this steak sandwich. We also had the fish and chips which were popular amongst the table. We noticed many guests had the traditional Shepards pie that looked delicious. Cocktails were on point. Ambiance was wonderful. Seemed like the place to be in the area. Yes there are a lot of unhoused in the area but don't let that stop you from visiting. Parking behind the hotel/restaurant is free after 4pm but plenty of street parking available around town. The reason for 4 stars is due to service. Our waitress seemed like she wanted to start closing up around 7 when they are open until 9. Upon walking in, I asked if we could sit at the table by the door to ensure we'd be in the "bar area" as there is a ducked off dining area, and she said that area was closing. It shocked me since we were a few hours til close so I double checked the hours as it was a Tuesday, thinking they may close early but no, still 9pm. While seating us, she asked if we were ready to order lol. We said it was our first time and needed a minute and she walked away. Felt as though we bothered her. Gallaghers is great but the lack of enthusiasm and communication towards guests from this one server will likely keep folks from returning. We had to wave her down to get more cocktails. Almost as if we weren't ready to order food she wasn't going to return. We ordered a soup around 7:20 and by 8pm she approached said "the kitchen was closing" very blunt like so we hurried up and ordered. Guests were still rolling in until 8:45 ordering dinner so we felt rushed and unappreciated that she told us the kitchen was closing when it wouldn't. On each trip out of town we try to find a steak restaurant, an Irish pub and a brewery to enjoy. This Irish pub night could have been better but the food and kind chef (who mingled with many guests) made it worth it.

The vibe is exactly what you want from a coastal brewery--casual, beachy, relaxed, and just the right amount of bar energy. I ordered the French dip, which was delicious and piping hot, although it was a little saltier than I prefer. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and apparently they were so good that I am now concerned about the stability of my marriage. He literally declared that he was leaving me for the chef. I guess the tacos were that good. The shrimp tacos came with fresh, flavorful salsa that really stood out, and everything arrived hot and quickly. Our server absolutely was friendly, attentive, and FAST--which we very much appreciated. Getting the check however took FOREVER! I think our server went out to lunch. :/ And the beer selection on tap? Lots of choices, and everything was served perfectly. Overall: great food, great beer, quick service, fun atmosphere, and apparently life-changing shrimp tacos. If you're in the area, put Lost Coast Brewery on your list. Just keep an eye on your spouse if they order the shrimp tacos. Apparently that's where things get dangerous.

On the national historical registry since 2010. the wife and I were there one evening recently for an ArMack Orchestra performance, the sound within the auditorium is very good and I'm sure in her prime she was a grand venue, but this building has definitely seen better days. The first thing I noticed was the "mushy" smell when you walk into this large space - mold, dust and disrepair are apparent. The art deco interior is still very much there and intact - mostly just needs an update after all the years of neglect. Great stylized cut glass wall sconces, and stylized cut glass overhead light fixtures along with the lobby entrance and foyer details reveal just how great this grand structure was back in its day. High ceiling soar overhead and two huge murals - left and right of the stage reminded me that this used to be a place where people in the town gathered regularly in a different era. This space is now a multicultural facility for the performing arts and monthly movies. Also available for rent for special events, weddings, parties, concerts, etc. This is a special place within old Town downtown Eureka that needs to be used to keep her alive, and is in need of some loving restoration to keep around for future generations. Still a 4 Star venue for all of its awesome architectural details that still exist after seven plus decades. And, a venue that has the potential to be a true 5 star gem - with a little help. 00127
