I'm a prior patient of Dr. Greenman who knew what he was doing. Kacker did not! Kacker did a four hour procedure on me and used IV sedation. He discharged me while I was semiconscious. The first think I knew was waking up on my living room floor still unable to move for about an hour. His office phoned me to see how I was doing. I could not move so the call went unanswered. Instead of checking back his office did nothing. If you need IV sedation, find another dentist. He has no experience in this. read more

Prior patient of Dr Greenman, who retired and sold his practice to Kacker. Do not go to Kacker. Not in the same league as Dr Greenman's practice, not even close. Kacker initially presents well but (and look at past reviews to verify) WILL NOT call a patient back himself. If you have a problem, concern or question, Kacker will not be calling you. Dr Greenman gave out his personal cell- can there be more of an opposite approach to patient/doctor communication? The experience w/ Kacker was bad. Overall, he is arrogant. The only thing worse than interacting with Kacker was dealing with his front office staff. I really wonder what's going on there. Is there a nitrous tank leak in the front office? It was like dealing with an elementary school class. You have to check EVERY thing they do- even something simple like verifying your email or confirming your next appointment. I have been seeing Dr. Kacker for years for dental work and, more recently TMJ treatment. The doctor and his staff are extremely warm and welcoming, and they make me feel right at home and relaxed. Dr. Kacker has a knack for explaining what I can expect from my TMJ treatments and what I can do to at home to help my symptoms. He has cutting edge technology and is the best in his field. Clean little office. The staff women are friendly. Dr. Kacker himself comes across as personable, and he speaks well. Unfortunately, the work is what matters and the work is not good. (Truly, one of the great regrets of my life: allowing Dr. Kacker to work on my teeth.) His dental work literally fell apart in my mouth. Twice. (And then he refused to fix it--while I'm sitting in his chair in unbearable pain--without me paying him first. It was awful.) The pain on several occasions, during several procedures, was extreme. Visiting a dentist can always be a little intimidating but not when visiting Dr. Kacker's office. I can't recommend Dr Kacker any more than I can by saying he is the best dentist and person I have ever known! In 1998, he put on my veneers and no matter what dentist I have seen as I moved around the country over the years,they always ask "who did these as they are awesome!" This past month, I was in a training class in Thousand Oaks and one of my teeth cracked. Mind you, I had moved away in 2005 so I did not have a local dentist. I called Dr Kacker's office and he remembered me from 13 years ago. He immediately had me come in and he fixed my tooth! Doctor Kacker is very personable and likable dentist. I used him for a Medicare approved sleep apnea appliance. He did his best to try and make it comfortable for me but at the end of the day I would not recommend this appliance. My husband however had problems with TMJ caused by the appliance which were not addressed by Frank , Doctor Kacker's assistant. He told my husband to give it a few days but he ended up at an ENT specialist who put him on medication for the extreme pain in his jaw. Frank should have brought Doctor Kacker in on this problem which was not addessed properly and as a result I cannot recommend this office. They are probably a great dental office but I would not recommend them for the Medicare approved sleep apnea appliance. read more

After my first visit I walked out of there so happy to have found a fabulous dentist with a wonderful staff! It's not easy to find a great dentist so I am very pleased that we have. My husband has been there a few times and is very happy. Which is especially fantastic after a few not-so-great experiences and less than adequate dental work from other dentist in the area. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Kacker for over 7 years and I can't imagine anyone else caring for my teeth. He is always on top of the latest technology and research of oral health. More importantly, he cares about you as a patient and really listens to any concerns about your teeth. I have no more concerns cuz he keeps my smile sparkling. Heck! I'm smiling now... don't let the bright white hurt your eyes! Also, he's a master at the needle. I barely feel anything when he has to numb my mouth for a procedure. unfortunately I have nothing nice to say about Dr. Kacker and my visit. He worked on my teeth and did filling and within a week I had tremendous pain I called their Office and wanted to talk to him and he never returned my calls, instead the girl from their front desk called me back and I asked her if she's the dental assistant and she said no... and they wanted to change me almost $3000.00 any how I went to another dentist and he said this teeth needs to be root canal not filed ... the funny thing is that this dr. Kacker never called me back to see how am I doing! After I complained about the unnecessary work and charges, Their office told me they don't take insurance and asked me to just pay about $500.00, after I paid the full amount I found out they also got money from my insurance! Do not trust Dr Kacker make sure you get second opinion. My experience tells me he's not looking out for his patients healthy teeth, he's just looking out for his pocket! so stay away from his office but if you go make sure he doesn't smell money from you! My family and I LOVE Dr. Kacker and his entire staff, they are all so helpful and kind. We have been going to him for years and I wouldn't trust anyone else with our teeth. Right before I got married (a little over a year ago) he helped my husband who hadn't been to the dentist in a very long time because he was so afraid, he knew he had a lot of ongoing dental problems and didn't want to deal with them but I pushed him to go. Upon arrival he was greeted with the same kindness I've always gotten and we reassured him that everything was going to be ok, there was nothing to be afraid of because Dr. Kacker is the most caring and gentle dentist there is and throughout this process.. multiple appointments later.. my husband didn't complain about pain during or even after these procedures once. Since his first appointment he has been consistently going back to fix things that otherwise would have been left just to get worse and worse. This man ruined my life. The work was so bad that I have spent over $15,000 Trying to correct it with orthodontics, surgery for the damage done from the bad work, Root canal! And I'm far from done. My strong, healthy, beautiful teeth were so badly damaged by this man, Dr. Kacker that I have not had a moments peace since I saw him. I will be lucky if I don't lose all of my teeth after what he did. One onlay had a random piece sticking up so sharp that it caused a pre- cancerous lesion on the side of my cheek. When I went back to show him another tooth that had a part of an onlay fall off, and how bad the occlusion was that I was left with, he yelled at me for 20 minutes and refused to look in my mouth. Then he would not give me all of my records back. The records would have clearly shown what my teeth looked like when I started in his office. I still have pictures from a previous dentist from only months before. A friend of mine also went to him and ended up having to get a root canal because of the bad work Kacker did. Not only is this man's work inferior, but he is unethical and refuses to even try to fix any mistakes with dentistry or monetarily. I would hate to see this happen to anyone else. So here's why I travel a good 45 minutes from West LA to the offices of Dr. Kacker: He's the best in the business, and his staff is equally knowledgeable and friendly. The hygienist who worked on my teeth had 10+ years exp, and the results were immediately visible in the work. I only get in for cleanings maybe once a year, but I left my last visit looking like I'm a regular (twice a year) visitor. If your someone like me, who doesn't get in to see a dentist as often as you maybe should, and are somewhat hesitant about the whole experience i.e. procrastinator.
