My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Shindler's since 2003...22 years! I've had a couple of crowns, fillings and recently, he finished my implant, which came out amazingly. Always focused, caring and as gentle as possible. Our 18-year-old son has been coming to Dr. Shindler for a year or so. He's a soccer playing and got hit in the jaw, chipping a back tooth. Dr. Shindler took him in quickly and fixed the tooth. More recently, our son is in college in England, got hit again and had some tooth concern. I called Dr. Shindler to get his advice regarding going to NHS to have them see what was going on. Dr. Shindler was fast-responding to my call and offered his consult once NHS saw my son. Dr. Shindler and his team are absolutely fantastic! I've never experienced such thorough dental care before. During my first visit, Dr. Shindler took the time to examine each tooth, my glands, airways, and even checked for grinding. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and provided so much insight into dental hygiene, explaining the reasons behind their practices and why they matter. I really appreciated that the hygienist didn't shame me for not flossing as regularly as I should; instead, she offered helpful tips to encourage me to incorporate it into my daily routine. If there was a way to give 5 additional stars, I would! We found a gem this last weekend. Looking for emergency care for an infected tooth, on a Saturday morning via a Yelp search, I wasn't too optimistic...until we found Dr. Shindler. We called and the staff member listened to our situation and the circumstances surrounding it. We had an appointment within an hour of the initial phone call and were on our way, scared of the potential costs of this emergency visit. Arrived at the office, handled the initial paperwork, they took my friend away to deal with her pain, while I finished the balance of the paperwork. My friend did not have dental insurance, but she was greeted and cared for as if she had been a patient for the last 10 years. While she was in the chair, I was offered the option to purchase dental insurance for the services provided, instead of personally being charged the full amount. The care she was given was 1st class all the way. Dr Shindler handled everything with patience and compassion. He listened attentively while being told of the events leading to the Saturday AM visit, asked questions and clarified details as needed. Procedure went on without a hitch, 45 minutes later we were on our way to get some needed medication and antibiotics. I didn't get the names of Dr Shindler's staff, but I was impressed with their attitude and care during our visit and with the final consultation. I recommend Dr Shindler, DDS, to anyone considering using the new Bioclear process for new fillings or redoing old fillings. Dr. Shindler replaced my old deteriorating fillings with the new Bioclear process; the results look natural. The whole staff is super friendly and takes the time to explain everything they do before and during the process. I used to get really anxious about going to the dentist, but the dentist and his outstanding dental assistants always made me feel calm and comfortable. While stuck in the chair, they play modern(upbeat) music instead of forcing you to listen to endless repetitive "elevator" music. Their office is clean and modern, with an incredible hillside view - I've even seen coyotes and rabbits while having my teeth cleaned during a prior visit. Please look at the 1 Star reviews before you look at the 5 Stars, I called this place and spoke to Beverly (the wife) re. my dental issues to try to set up an appointment to see Dr. Shindler. The first thing she mentioned was the Bio-Clear procedure (trying to upsell) since this would not be the procedure I require and she knew it. I had a previous experience at a new dentist office who was using non- sterilized dental instruments whom I of course did not allow to examine me. I shared this experience with Beverly over the phone and it made her feel uncomfortable to the point of saying she did not think I was a good fit for their office. Well, that tells me very simply that they most likely do the same: NOT PROPERLY STERILIZE THEIR DENTAL INSTRUMENTS. Pay attention, people! You feel like you've just been reunited with some long lost relatives. Each team member provides you with nothing less than 150% of themselves. I have always thought the word "professional" was synonymous with stuffy, rigid, impersonal, etc., but these people are professional in only good ways. To me, they've given new words to describe "professional". Personable. Genuine. Concerned. Empathetic (when needed). Funny. Welcoming. Gentle. Present. So, really, if you are like me and do not like being treated as "next" then this office and Dr. Shindler is the place you want to make your next dental appointment. Best dentist by far! We met Dr. Shindler the day before my wedding when I began to experience severe in my tooth and were not from the area. Him and his wife Beverly went out of their way on a Saturday afternoon to open their office up for me. I had to have the tooth extracted due to a failed root canal performed by a different dentist. I was out of town for a long vacation and fractured a front tooth. Dr. Shindler had me in to the office after hours to diagnose the issue. He called a great oral surgeon and helped me to set up an appointment for the next day for a restorative implant. After the implant surgery, he came in to the office while it was closed and fitted a temporary crown. I met Doctor Shindler about 12 years ago, he has performed some dental work on me, he was great, extremely gentle, you don't feel anything, the man is a perfectionist, 0 pain. I was stupid by thinking he was expensive so I went to this cheap butcher who remove one tooth and damaged two others, to a point when every time I ate or drank I was in severe pain, so I have decided to go and have these two teeth remove and have two implants performed on me, by Dr Hale, who asked me who is your dentist I said Dr shindler, so they have naturally had to communicate, and exchange information how to go about my new crowns, about 6 months later I was ready for my crowns I have went to Dr shindler and again he was magic, he took measurements and created two beautiful crowns, that look and feel better than real teeth. It is so hard to find a good dentist that I wasn't afraid to go and visit. After my dentist retired that I had been seeing my entire life, it took me a couple of years to find Dr. Shindler, so of course I was terrified. His staff took all my worries away. Each visit they took such good care of me. They actually listened to when something was uncomfortable for me and would adjust. Not only that but Beverly would always do her best to get my insurance to cover as much of my visit as possible. So, my husband has been going to this office for a long time. I started going to Dr. Schindler about 4 years ago. I have a long history of bad teeth, lots of fillings and tons of old work and work needed. When I went to see him there was no big push to sell me more services or work, like other offices have done to me. I did not get a long expensive list of procedures. Instead I got someone who looked at my teeth and had an honest conversation about what needed to be done, not too much, and what I might want to consider in the future.
