I planned on taking all of the dresses with me so that I could get her advice on which one was the easiest and cheapest to fix, given my timeline. As I looked for the address of the seamstress I normally use, I found Sandra's name on Google. When I saw her great reviews and her proximity to me, I called her and was immediately impressed. She had me come right over, and we discussed the alterations that would be needed on the dress I thought I preferred. Although she could do the work within a week, she helped me realize it was a better value to wear a different dress that didn't need alterations, which saved me money. She took her time to help me, even thought it didn't result in her providing me an alteration! She helped me in one other way - the dress I will end up wearing is too short for the heels I already have, so I was going to have to buy new shoes. Sandra also carries shoes for sale, much to my surprise. I ended up purchasing a great pair of low-heel sandals for only $99 - much cheaper and much better quality than what I was seeing online. I am really happy to have met Sandra and to have her now as my trusted seamstress. We found the entire experience very concerning and frustrating. Ordering a dress considerably larger than the already-too-large sample, followed by being told there wasn't enough time for alterations, left us questioning the level of care and attention given to her order. After all the pins were attached for the alternations we were told that it will be almost another $1000 for alternations and btw payment should be in cash.... When picking up the dress it was handed to us with a bad attitude, letting us know all the pins were removed. Uncalled for after spending thousands of dollars on a dress at this store.
