Had an amazing experience with Aggie, Mei, and rest of the team. Couldn't believe I found a unique dress that I loved in great condition and close to my size at their outlet. Price was affordable. The selection was top notch compared to the 6+ other sample sales and bridal shops I went to. The boutique is clean and bright and service is wonderful as well. Highly recommend!!

I was in New York to get fitted for a wedding dress, after saying yes to the dress a few months earlier from a very well known bridal salon. Sadly, they were not able to do the alterations they said they could do and ordered the dress about 5 sizes too big. I was devastated and my wedding was only 3 weeks away! My fiance calmed me down and assured me that New York was the fashion capital of the world and I would be able to find a new dress. I did a mad dash of research until 2 a.m. and Wedding Atelier was at the top of my list after reading their Yelp reviews. I called about one minute after they opened the next morning. Alisa answered and was there to save the day. I explained the situation and she was able to squeeze me in that day. From that moment on, I had an amazing experience. She sent me text confirmations and even let me arrive a little early, so I would have more time to find the perfect dress. We arrived and were chatting with Alisa about dresses in no time. She asked me a bunch of questions about our venue, the feel we were going for and my style. The hard part was that I needed something off the rack that I could leave with that day and needed little to no alterations. In no time she returned with about 5 or 6 dresses. All of them were gorgeous, fit well, and were under budget. When I tried on each dress, she would ask questions and then came back with another round of dresses for me to try. It really came down to two. She got me veils, shoes and flowers to give me a better feel for the whole look, and had me sit down in a chair, so I could get a real feel for the dress. It didn't take me long to decide--it was a beautiful dress and veil that really fit the nautical feel, the venue and a July 1 wedding date in Annapolis. Alisa was fantastic. She put me at ease when I was freaking out, she never made me feel rushed and I felt like she really listened to me throughout the entire process. I absolutely loved my dress and the veil she picked out was gorgeous. I was so happy that my husband loved it, too. I was so lucky to have found Wedding Atelier and that was Alisa was there to help me. I wish I would have started here and I couldn't recommend them more.

I don't know what measurement was off here - but the back puckered.

I'm sorry to say it but my experience at Wedding Atelier just was not up to par. The shopping experience itself left something to be desired but both post-purchase pre-receipt experience and the actual dress were not near expectations. Particularly considering the high price, it just isn't a spot I'd recommend. Shopping: I went to 10 stores and Wedding Atelier was lucky number 11. I suspected I'd find my dream dress so brought my mom, sister, and best friend (January 2020). Unlike every other store I went to, including many at a lower price point, you're really on top of the other shoppers. There's no divide and hardly any space. Of course, they have a great Manhattan location so maybe that's the tradeoff? Communication: I do understand that my timing was unlucky - with COVID, the store shut down and from what they explained to me, they couldn't access records remotely. But eventually that starts getting to be an insufficient answer with a several thousand dollar purchase - I emailed and called in April, then May and didn't get a response until June. At this point, I was getting worried I wouldn't have my dress in time. Eventually I did hear back and was able to get my dress in time but they caused some real stress. THE DRESS: I had a vision of what I wanted (A-line with a corset) and suspected I'd be able to find it here. I did with a Suzanne Neville dress. Of course, wedding dress shopping requires some creativity as you're typically not trying on exactly what you'll buy. In this case, the dress was relatively beat up and in a back and forth with the woman working, I decided to swap the fabric above the belt for a slightly custom dress. Great. As you can see in the photo, the fabric we swapped in was nowhere near the quality it should've been to hide the boning. I had to Photoshop it out of all the wedding photos that were at all close up. In addition, the back puckered and my seamstress couldn't fix it. I understand COVID and people's sizes may change but this one didn't seem like an oh you gained/lost a few pounds issue to me. At this price point, I wouldn't have expected these issues.

Terrible experience from the day after purchase to my wedding day. Let's start with the search- I was paired with Chloe and had a decent vision of what I wanted. I ended up purchasing a dress that I'd tried on elsewhere ( Suzanne Neville). The only thing that impressed me about the shopping experience was the Covid precautions, Chloe was nice enough but seemed annoyed and frustrated when I had questions. I was ordering a custom dress and had nothing to base it off of with pictures, so for an expensive purchase, I felt within my right to ask questions. She was unhelpful and at times, aggressive. I emailed her and was absolutely not pestering, but she was short. Fast forward to the production-- I was told I would get my dress early September. It did not arrive until NOVEMBER. My wedding was December 18... I was straight up lied to and when I contacted Suzanne Neville directly via Instagram, they had the dress ready and waiting!! So basically I was lied to when I called... they had not bothered to ask the designer and I literally had to take this into my own hands. The dress was beautiful which speaks more to the designer than wedding atelier. NOT happy with the incredibly expensive tailoring/alterations that I was forced to do in house bc the dress was "late". Bull shit. See pictures- the piping on the bodice was fully visible. Bummer. 7.5k out the window. I had FOUR FITTINGS and pointed this out every time but it never improved. Now let's get to pick up day... I had the horror of witnessing the owner and Chloe herself absolutely shaming a new consultant. They were quizzing her on the clientele, saying she should know the " caliber" of people shopping, quizzed her on how much real estate was in the hamptons... all within ear shot of customers. It was embarrassing for everyone. Horrible.

I am writing a review for the first time in my life to ensure that brides do not shop here. From start to finish, I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not shop here unless you want to end up in tears on your wedding day (and the many days leading up to it). I ordered the Hayley Paige Teresa gown. I purchased it in February for a July 3rd wedding. I paid rush shipping and rush alterations to get it in time. I ended up paying close to $5K for the dress with alterations. I spent another $3k+ to get a cape for the dress. To start, my dress was delivered 1-2 weeks later. My sales associate had apparently left (no one told me) and it was a nightmare trying to schedule 5 fittings in the last 2 weeks before you wedding, especially when you have a demanding job. I will say that the manager Lisà did a great job trying to step in and smooth things over. Going into my wedding, I had put the delay behind me and was happy that I liked the fit of my dress. Fast-forward. BEFORE my ceremony started, BEFORE pictures, I realized that the entire back of my dress (the entire strap that connects my neck to the waist) had fallen off. I started crying, literally in a corner in the moments before the ceremony. What was supposed to be a beautiful detailed elegant designed partially backless dress was now completely open back. Without that back strap, I also had no support whatsoever and the dress was completely falling down in the front. I reached out to the store 2-3 days after my wedding and only finally spoke to them today about a resolution (3.5 weeks later). They said that once they sold me the dress, it was apparently not their problem. If you want a place that stands by its product, this is not it!!! See below pictures. Pictured on the left is what the back of dress should look like. Pictured on right is me taking a pic BEFORE the ceremony with my RIPPED dress.

This was my first bridal appointment so I wasn't really sure what to expect which could have contributed to the uprightness my friend and I felt. We weren't allowed to self browse the racks. I was taken aback by the email pre apmt stating you could only take pics of the dress you like. Luckily this was not enforced and my consultant was actually really helpful ie clipping the front of my dress so I could get a pic of the back. However, I expected more explaining of the dresses ie material, designer etc like I received in other following salon visits. Their flat fee for alterations is $880

I had a lovely experience here. Riley, the young woman who styled me, was so nice -- no hard sell, just cheerful and good at her job. She listened to what I said I wanted and pulled five or six dresses for me. Of those, a few were definitely not right, but two were stunning! One especially fit like a dream. It was a British designer named Suzanne Neville and I can't get it out of my head. This was my first wedding dress shopping excursion so I have to try on more before I make a decision, but I may well come back and buy this dress from Riley -- if they can make it in purple. They said the designer maybe open to that. (I did say I was partial to a sleeve or a strap and that I wanted to try at least one poufy mermaid bottom, and she didn't really give me much in the way of those options. I didn't get to try a big poofy bottom, be auae they didn't have that on stock for me. And veryimited sleeve/strap options. But my guess is that was not really her fault and more a situation of limitations with the stock and my large bust (hard to find dresses to fit a G cup, so anything without internal structure won't work. I am pretty sure that she would have brought me more of what I had wanted to see if it actually existed.) As for details: the salon is elegant, clean, and each person has their own section for their fittings. You can look at dresses on racks in your own section, though not in other brides' sections. I didn't get offered water but I forgot to ask for it. The woman at the front desk who greeted me was sweet and we joked a bit with each other. I felt no pressure here.

The fitting "area" didn't have a mirror so note it's more challenging to closely inspect the dress on your own. Definitely overpriced for very limited selection, which lacked variety. Was surprised that samples were often only priced maybe $500 off the "original price" (questionable if the listed original prices were even accurate, seems inflated, so hardly any cost savings). Many of the dresses were barely more than 20% off, most lower. They do have a small selection (1 rack) of plus sized dresses, although I didn't look through them but something to consider if you fall into that size range. Most of the dress sizes in bridal sizes 8-12, which had several racks. Hastily purchased a gown that I do regret. Note their policy of final sale, no exchanges. They do not take walk ins, but I called day of and received a same day appointment. I guess if you're desperate for a last minute dress with not many options, this places fills a role as you may find something to settle on. Apparently they have independent tailors they work with in store who they claim can quickly do last minute alterations as well but I cannot speak to the quality of said work and I see reviews questioning the quality. I also noticed they handle sales tax in an unusual way, which others may want to be aware of. Wouldn't say this is worth including in your journey to finding a gown in NYC unless you've run out of options.

There is a huge variety of styles, designers, and options, which is great if you want to try on a wide range of dresses in one appointment. That said, the overall experience felt much less personal than some of the other bridal salons I visited in New York City. It felt a bit like a factory of brides, with a giant room where many brides are trying on dresses at the same time. The mirrors were also surprisingly small and free-standing, and I felt very close up to them, which made it hard to really see myself clearly in the dresses. I also would have liked to step off the podium more to see how the dresses looked naturally, but my stylist seemed to prefer that I stay on it (and of course dresses tend to look better when you're elevated on a podium). The selection is definitely a major strength, and I understand why Kleinfeld is so well known. However, there are other bridal salons in New York City that feel much more personalized, spacious, non-judgmental, and relaxed. I also noticed that some of the stylists standing around elsewhere came across as judgmental, which took away from the overall atmosphere a bit. Overall, I'm still giving 5 stars because of the dress variety and the iconic experience, but I would say brides should go in knowing that it may feel less intimate and personalized than other boutiques in the city. I went on a weekday to avoid paying for the experience. I'd recommend others do the same, as I don't think the fee is worth it. My stylist also was the least knowledgable about dresses compared to other salons.

SAID YES TO THE DRESS!…read more I had an incredible experience at WONA in New York City. I booked an appointment for 5 Pm on a Friday, and from the moment I walked in, I was so impressed by the space. It is extremely large, clean, and beautifully decorated. They have two completely separate, huge rooms, so you are in total privacy from any other bride, which made the appointment feel really personal and calm. It was by far the largest room I had been in at any bridal salon in New York City. The guest area was also beautiful, with a large, gorgeous couch, and the actual fitting room was huge (definitely the most space I had anywhere while trying on dresses). My stylist was Sylvia, and she was absolutely amazing. She knew the dresses inside and out, answered all of my questions immediately, and seemed to know exactly which dresses I would want to try on. She was extremely personable and gave the perfect amount of space for me to figure out what I liked about each dress, while also offering helpful suggestions and options for what could be changed. I ended up wanting to personalize a dress with detachable sleeves and a non-sparkle lace, and Sylvia knew all of the customization options perfectly. She showed me exactly what the changes could look like and even brought out the identical lace without sparkles so I could really visualize it. She was so patient with me and handled everything perfectly, offering suggestions without ever being overbearing or pushy. She let me walk around in the dress, sit down, and do various poses. I really love many of their dresses as they have the corset back, making them so secure and giving breathability. They have so many incredible dresses with different styles, so it truly is a great place to find a dress. I later came back for a "say yes" appointment with some of my bridesmaids as I was between two dresses, and unfortunately Sylvia wasn't there. I wish I could remember the name of the stylist who helped me that day, because she was truly just as wonderful. I ended up saying yes to the dress, and the team was very patient while answering all of my questions and letting me read through the entire contract. I had seen some reviews mentioning concerns about the post-purchase experience, so I was a little nervous after purchasing, especially because I had questions about the sleeves and customized lace. However, when I emailed them, they responded very quickly and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I'm happy to update this review as the process continues, but so far WONA has been incredible. The space, the dresses, the privacy, the customization options, and most of all the stylists made this such a special and positive experience.

I felt like the girls you see on TV shows and movies with the private room, Prosecco, and my loved ones by my side. There were plenty of unique dresses to choose from. Thankfully I'd already done my research so I knew what I wanted to try on. I loved the ambience of the place. I literally felt like the only girl in the building thanks to how the rooms are set up. It's super private, and maybe the music playing drowns out the other groups of people in the building. Or maybe my excitement was really loud too lol. I also love the window view -- I was able to look out and realize every so often that I was really in New York shopping for a wedding dress. If you purchase a dress, you get to take pictures with the yes to the dress sign, and they also send you off with a nice gift bag as a thank you! I wasn't expecting that! I would recommend this location for your dress needs. As beautiful as these dresses are, they don't exactly break the bank which is a relief. So you don't have to worry about compromising finances to feel beautiful on your big day. Thank you again Sylvia and to her manager as well. You both were fantastic!

Prior to my Leanne Marshall appointment, I had gone wedding dress shopping twice and had already surrendered to the fact that the "this is it" moment was something I was never going to have. I left previous wedding dress appointments feeling sad and defeated. I had even sworn off strapless dresses, I loved so much in photographs, because I thought they just didn't look good on me. Not only did Nathan open the showroom early to accommodate me, since I was only there visiting New York for the weekend and booked a last minute appointment, he made me feel more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I had literally developed an anxiety over trying on wedding dresses. However, within seconds Nathan took all that anxiety away. After taking a quick look at me, he immediately pulled the Isabella dress, and said I had to try it on. Though I had sworn off strapless dresses, his confidence and conviction made me excited to give the dress a try. It was the first dress I tried on there, and when I looked in the mirror I could barely believe my eyes. I had never felt more beautiful. I felt like a classic Hollywood actress who belonged on the red carpet. I tried on more dresses. Though each of them impressed me, none cast the same spell as Isabella. Every girl deserves to have her moment- when the entire world stops and all eyes are on her. Nathan gives you that moment. He makes you feel like the star you truly are. Of course, none of this would be possible without Leanne Marshall's vision. I have since tried on other dresses I hoped would compare to hers, but no one else makes them the way she does. She understands what is most flattering on a woman's body, and it's the subtle but very important details she pays attention to that make a world of difference. Her dresses immediately make me feel like I have lost ten pounds! That's pretty magical if you ask me. I haven't purchased my wedding dress quite yet, but after all the dresses I have tried on I can tell you this. I will not be walking down the aisle in anything but a Leanne Marshall dress. Thank you Nathan for the wedding dress appointment of my dreams, and thank you Leanne for your beautiful creations.

However, to see them all (and trust me, you WANT to see them all), set up an appointment (required) to visit her NYC showroom. Each flowing, ethereal gown is more beautiful than the last. And the prices are absolutely fair! I initially worked with Angela, who was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic from the get go. I loved so many of the dresses that it was hard to decide which one to purchase. She was flexible in allowing me to come back in for a second appointment to try on my favorites once more before choosing THE ONE. The showroom is small so you will be the only client there, which makes the experience relaxed and personal. At no point did I feel pressured to buy. After making the final decision, Angela was professional in helping me understand the contract and taking my measurements. My emails were always answered quickly and all communication was easy and pleasant. Shockingly, the dress was finished a week earlier than expected and took only 4 months total! I picked it up today and it is just the most beautiful piece of work. Whitney was very helpful and attentive in completing the sale. I feel beyond lucky to have found Leanne Marshall and to own one of her creations. Pictures to come at a later date :) Brides, do yourself a favor and visit Leanne Marshall Bridal! These gowns are just breathtaking and superior to many others I tried on all over NYC.

She was nice, helpful, and picked some nice dresses close to or within my budget. There's a pedestal so you don't have to bring shoes. They have clamps that give a pretty good idea of the dress on you even if it's a much larger size. Our room was well-lit by natural sunlight. I wish they had more petite sizes. It'd also be helpful if their website had more filters and information on the product pages. Booking was easy. I booked a few months ahead. I chose the $25 regular appointment. Echo gave me her number in case I had questions after.

All parties have their own private rooms which are nicely lit. After discussing my wedding details and what I am looking for in a dress, she pulled a handful of dresses and we started the try-on's. There are also shoes to try on for height with the dresses. Grace-Ellis was really mindful of my budget, she reads reactions well, and gave great advice. She knew when I did or didn't like something, so she replaced a few dresses she had a feeling I wouldn't like with other ones, which I thought were great decisions. I really appreciated that she did that. I had a couple other appointments after The White Gown. She followed up with me in case I had any questions, and was so sweet and understanding. Never felt pressured at any time. I ended up saying yes to the dress at another shop, but there was a dress here that I really loved and made it a really difficult decision for me. Thank you for an amazing bridal appointment!
