Roadhouse was right across from our hotel and turned out to be a great and convenient choice! This restaurant is very reminiscent of an American steakhouse, which was both interesting and convenient for us! There is a ton of seating (with lots of space, not super common in Europe!) and there is a wide variety of good choices. We were seated as soon as we got there and the service was great! My husband enjoyed trying local Italian beer and I had a nice glass of Prosecco. For dinner we both had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. If you're looking for a solid meal that is convenient and quick, I highly recommend stopping by!

Loud music and guests have tried to talk louder than the music, of course. Unfortunately, a conversation at normal volume was not possible. Next, I noticed that the floor was pretty dirty. Here and there, crumbs and fries etc. Okay, I've tried about a blind eye . The food: On the table were already peanuts and shortly after ordering the waitress served free nachos with salsa. For our main course we ordered lamb filet and ribeye steak. The taste was perfect and grilled to the point . The price: Appropriate for the quality . Anyway, I think I'll not go there again, because of the loudness I felt uncomfortable. But if you don't mind about that, you should go there and enjoy delicious food. Other guests told us, that the burgers are very tasty as well.

I have been dreaming of having bistecca alla fiorentina ever since I can remember. Back in the…read morestates, I always get strange reactions from the waiters when I order my steak "as rare as possible." That is what I was expecting in Italy. Am I the only one that thought steak florentine was supposed to be served this way? Maybe that's was my mistake but I thought that's how it was prepared in Florence. Anyways, I was immediately suspicious when our waitress asked how we would like our steak cooked and her suggestions were medium or medium well. Uhhhh what? That goes against everything I believe in! The steak came out on a hot stone slab on top of a wooden box. The slab obviously continued to cook the steak so I immediately took off a few pieces to prevent this. The steak was thick and tender with chunks of large salt grains. It looked nice all sliced up but that's where the compliments end. It lacked flavor and ended up cooking to be more medium rare when I grabbed my pieces and then even medium by the time my dad grabbed his second slice. Our waitress seemed annoyed when we asked for the truffle sauce to accompany our steak (my dad forgot to ask for it when we placed our original order) and walked away with a huff to go grab it. The fries came out cold and limp with flavorless truffle shavings on top. I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. Maybe it got too big for its britches and the quality has declined? The one saving grace was the crema bruciata! And the very understanding hostess who gladly pushed our reservation from 7:30 to 8:00pm due to travel difficulties. Whatever the reason, this place definitely missed the mark. You can't walk three steps without seeing a steakhouse here in Florence. My recommendation? Try one of those.

We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

We split the platter of meats, lasagna, tortellini, tagliatelle and ragu, and grilled veggies. The lasagna was soft, pillowy, and decadent without being heavy, the tagliatelle was al dente and flavorful, and the tortellini stuffed with creamy ricotta. For dessert we split a generous portion of tiramisu, which was creamy and rich. We had a couple bottles of Chianti. The ambiance is relaxing with a neighborhood vibes. This is a wonderful osteria, everything was chef's kiss.

They didn't have any tables outside so we were seated inside. Service (3.5/5): No WiFi unfortunately which isn't great for an international traveler like me. Standard European service. Not terribly friendly and not terribly efficient but I would say they were a bit more attentive than the norm. They did hook us up with some complimentary limoncello shots which was a really nice touch. Ambiance (3.5/5): A little quieter since it's off the beaten path which I like. A pleasant, homey restaurant. Drinks (4.5/5): We shared a bottle of wine. And the aforementioned limoncello shots. Food (4/5): We went with their pasta for two deal where each person gets three different types of pasta that you choose from six or so options. I love getting a variety of dishes so this was a nice way to do it. Not huge portions given the price but still delicious. The dishes were served to us quickly and we got to try some pastas we had never heard of. Overall: When in Bologna, Osteria Broccaindosso makes for a fine choice. It's a 15-minute walk or so from the center of town.
