Don't move here unless you want to become the maintenance person. i moved in recently on the 30th of March and I've been having problems since. garbage disposal and sink constantly get clogged and goes out even if im not dumping any food down there. my door hasnt been weatherproofed its summer now so its not a big deal but it will be eventually. the bathtub knobs leak heavy when in use. my front closet has not been put on right so it keeps falling. anytime i call the front office and even the hotline for maintenance i get the same story "maintenance is busy" here i am going on month 2 with the same issues that ive told them about and was supposed to been fixed a week before i moved in. maintenance doesnt care nor does the front office. hopefully it gets better but ive been fixing things myself since they wont. read more

I've been living here for a year and a half and I love it. The living room is spacious and I love the accent wall. My favorite thing about my apartment is the gas stove! That was definitely one of my requirements! It's relatively quiet in my building. I also get amazing sunlight which allows me to not have to turn the lights on as much. The bedroom closet is a nice size as well. I even have a storage unit in the basement! It's really helpful for Christmas decorations and luggage and whatnot. I don't have any complaints. I had moved in around mid March. While living there I had a termite infection that was never taken care of. I battled for almost 3 months to get a new AC Unit after numerous calls to have it fixed. My apartment got up to over 90 degrees so I stayed at my mothers house until weeks later they decided to replace the AC Unit. Then I had fallen into financial hardship during the Covid pandemic and tried to break my lease early. And was then charged 2 month worth of rent to pay and without being given a final notice to pay I was sent to collections. The way they run this business is shameful! This is the worst apartment a living they don't do anything about noise complaint they were literally let someone make noise over your head and tell you to call the police and when you call the police, the police tell you to notify the apartment it's like they want you to kill each other or something I don't understand what's going on, but this is the worst apartment ever very nasty. read more

BAD EXPERIENCE! Worst place to live in!! UNSAFE.....I have the picture that shows why!! Worth to read. Here is the story: I was a resident at maple grove apartments. during that period the stairs (nearly 7 ft in height) collapsed when I was walking on it because of bad maintenance. I have all pictures. After the incident and after I got myself from basement with no help from anyone and with all my injuries and pains. I was shocked in that moment and I didn't call police, I don't know why but that something wrong that I did maybe and maybe because I was care about other people who may walk down to the broken stairs. So I went to the office and the crew there was carless and they didn't provide me with even simplest things which First Aid just to clean my injuries from blood. The employees in the office take the information and that is it and told them that I had put sign that shows the stairs is collapsed!! They contacted me from Harlo property manager and sent to me a form to describe what happened with me. I wrote a report and I sent it to the company, and I did not get any response. This incident happened in last July 2017 and until now the company( either Maple grove apartments or the the general company which is called BEZTAK) has not show any kind of respect to me. They did not keep in touch with me. Unfortunately from the date of the incident I just experience a bad moral and ethical behavior from the company. One thing more when I moved to maple grove apartments to live with my friend who was already a resident, I had signed some paperwork and gave them my credit card number and care plate information and other stuff, they were unprofessional with their work . they told me we don't have your information!!! I signed a 12 month lease. The day I moved in the air just "stopped" working. When I called the 24 hour matinence they told me the air out of the vents were blowing cold air, which it wasn't. So I purchased my own ac unit because if you get a upper level apartment good luck it's like 85 degrees in the hallways. My ceiling leaked the whole year I lived there and not once did they come to patch up the hole. They kept telling me they would have a roofer come out. My toilet leaked for 6 months before they finally replaced it. I had water damage on my bathroom cabinet it was literally peeling upwards. At one point I had no hot water and I called they told me it was just me in the building having the issue so they were supposed call me back that night and never contacted me I had to call in the morning. My toilet had no water in it and they told me to put some water in it for now just so I could flush to use the bathroom. My tiles were all cracked when I moved in and not one thing was cleaned during COVID time!! My fan in the ceiling was hanging off. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Also, to add to the mess it took them over 2 months to get my security deposit back to me. I kept getting the run around. read more

The staff gets mad when you need something fixed. The basement flooded and they left it like that for a long time. They half ass cleaned it up and my boxes got messed up . i still think theres mold downstairs but they won't fix it. I've given this place so many chances, but the maintenance manages to surprise me with how unprofessional they are every time. They've ignored my work order requests, walked into my unit without permission, put off fixing my mailbox (which caused USPS to stop delivering my mail) among other things. The place is decent for the price point, but do not get a lower unit for the love of God. You will hear every single thing your neighbors do. I'm still giving two stars because Heather is professional and nice. read more

My boyfriend and I recently moved into maple grove apartments. I think this place is a really great starter apartment if you're just looking to move out, or if you're moving in with a significant other for the first time, it's really cute and small, I haven't had a problem with maintenance. Bridget is definitely the girl to go to if you're looking to rent, she is absolutely the sweetest person and was so helpful on getting us what we were looking for. Anytime I go into the office no matter who is in they are always really friendly and helpful. Neighbors are friendly and quiet. We live in a dog friendly building and I love seeing all the other pups around. Like I said it's a great starter apartment for young people looking to move out on their own for the first time. read more

Absolute worst!! The staff doesn't answer their phones, they lie about dates, and they are RUDE AF. Rent raises every month. And the girl who got me in lied in 5 different ways to get me in (so at least they dont care about who resides there). read more

13 months living here, and it's just my biggest regret. Moved in and my AC has never worked right. Took them a month to come fix it the first time(add Freon). Contacted the office 16 times the first summer/fall due to the AC always breaking and my $200 a month electric bill due to it. It was like they don't care. They finally replaced the AC unit at the end of October. Thinking things would be better this year but it's more of the same. June 6th my AC stopped working. 10 calls/contacts with the office in 24 days the AC still doesn't work and it's currently 80* in my apartment. They won't fix anything, it will be dirty when you move in, and if your neighbors like to smoke pot in the basement then enjoy the smell since they don't care. read more

I would not recommend this place. Its not worth the 830 dollars they charge for 1 bedroom. Our windows are very old and when its cold, cold air seeps through very easily. Not to mention maintenance must be called every other day just about to fix something that is poorly assembled for the apartment. Only been here for a few months and it was the biggest regret ever. We keep seeing these strange gross bugs. Pest control comes and it still has been the same nasty things crawling over our ceilings and on our walls. The closet door fell on me. Our cable connections are only able to be connected on one side of our living room because the other sockets are rigged. The basement floods every time there is bad rain storms. Office worker are nice but nothing amounts to all the inconveniences for what we pay to live in a place like this. read more

I spoke to the management office, at Maple Grove Apts. in Sterling Heights, on leasing month to month. I was informed that we could lease for 3 months and then go to month to month. The rent was slightly higher to do this which was no problem. When the 3 months were up, we continued to pay monthly payments for the next three months. After six months we gave notice to vacate. The apartment was left in perfect condition and all payments were made early. Instead of receiving our full security deposit back, we received a late notice for an additional $300 per month plus late fees and court costs. When we called the management office to see why this happened they told us that we should have renewed the lease. We were never notified of this and the management office was very rude especially Sabrina. So, they scammed us in the amount of $1,220.58. They also tried to tell us that we did not return the keys for an additional $50. However, we proved that we did return the keys and that amount was refunded. RENTERS BEWARE OF THE FINE PRINT ON THE LEASE ESPECIALLY PARAGRAPH #34! THIS IS HOW THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY!!! Many of our apartment neighbors English is their second language. 0 STAR IF THERE WAS AN OPTION!!! The WORST customer service ever! I had to break my lease and move out because of my job relocation. I spoke with the property manager on site two months in advance to avoid any lease by-out bills and was told to pay my last month rent since I was a preferred client through one of the major automotive company. I provided them with all the information they required to avoid any future problems. A week passed and when I was anxiously waiting for the $400 security deposit to return to me, I instead got a bill of $1400+ to pay out the remainder lease and not to mention absurd other things they charged me to keep the security deposit to themselves. Now when I try calling the office I am told by the Rep. on site to call back to talk to manager, she was not willing to even open up my file and told to talk to manager. I insisted on opening up my file at least and check since it had all the documents it required and this notice was sent to me in an error. I am not sure why they hired staff if for every small thing you need to wait to talk to manager. Well, i guess the staff is to attract new customers. I always seen a drastic change in their customer service in terms of when you have an issue and when you paying them rent. My issue is still unresolved as the REP. refused to do anything about it and I will have to talk to manager!!! This is ridiculous and no one should be going through this. It's a beautiful community and all the grocery stores are nearby which is what initially attracted me to this property BUT it's not worth the pain you will have to go through with the staff and everything else. read more
