What a dump! Rented an RV there and had a view of the neighbors house. Apparently we had the best view of that dump!

Main St is walking distance with coffee shops and other stores. Far enough from highway 97 so no road noise at all. Very quiet at night. The bed is totally comfortable. I would venture to say it is better than the bed at the Westin where we usually stay while traveling. The room has laundry - that's something I did not expect. A private washer and dryer tucked in a closet near the kitchenette. Pretty cool. Nice granite counter tops and stainless steel full size fridge. Full set of silver wear; including set of cooking knifes. Dish set and wine glasses all in their proper places throughout the kitchen cabinets. Again, didn't expect any of that and it came very handy. Great sofa set with love set. 2 Toshiba LCDs - one in bedroom and the other in the living room. Great private balcony with wicker furniture set - a table and 4 chairs with great view of the lake. In summary, Will be back!

So my husband & myself along with our young son had been up in the area of Bonaparte Lake yesterday…read more& stopped in here to grab something to eat from the little snack shop they have attached to the restaurant. They didn't have anything that tickled my fancy but I could smell something Coming from the restaurant that made me decide to check out the menu. Of course my young son doesn't eat hardly anything, ( basically pizza or pizza sticks, so it's really difficult to get him to eat..welp anything really).. We ended up ordering their Greek salad & a side of home fries for my husband & myself to share & a kids chicken strip/fries for our son. We DO NOT like to go into restaurants really at all. Too many people, too much going on around us, judgemental people all the time etc etc, so like usual I ordered it to go. Then went back out to our truck to tell my husband & son how long til I could go back in & pick up the food. Our son told us that he wanted to go inside AND he wanted to sit down together INSIDE to eat & of course we did it for his sake. My husband will fight tooth & nail to avoid all public events & interactions usually but not this time. We go in & get sat down by a window overlooking the lake. There was a few folks there not much. Let me tell y'all from the moment we sat down, we felt comfortable, invited, not judged, not scrutinized, not any of the normal stressors that will normally get us to get out of any place as fast as possible! It was really refreshing! The manager guy was very very personable, very engaging but not overly so & the bartender guy was the same. We let our son color on a dollar bill & we all signed it & the manager, without even saying anything to him, brought us a stable gun that he quietly sat on the edge of our table so we could put the dollar up on their walls of bills when ready. The food was great - the fries where probably the best fries my husband & myself have had in a long time & our son ACTUALLY ATE HIS FOOD!!! Great job to the two guys working. Come check this place out, it's a good one with respectable folks running the show! Thanks for the great food & great memory with our son!

We love camping with the convenience of a restaurant on site. The owners and staff are friendly. The food is delicious 95% of the time. Sometimes the burgers and fries have been overcooked. Our favorites are prime rib Saturdays and any/all of their freshly made on-site desserts. We also love that they continue to make improvements and upgrades across their property. Looking forward to next year's stay already.

Pay Me!". Because of the Spokane fires, we had to evacuate and found a room a long way from home at Sun Mountain Lodge. We booked two nights, though decided to leave early as an emergency to return home and try to save what we could despite the risks involved. When checking out after the first night, we were hit with an "early departure fee" equal to the second night's rate. Front Desk couldn't help. So I wrote the general manager appealing this fee and asked for some consideration and empathy for our situation. Crickets. Nothing. Not even the simple courtesy of a response. Sometimes a business must decide if it will do the right thing. Failing to respond in any way, Sun Mountain management demonstrated doing the right thing is an illogical and unwelcome facet of their business philosophy of "We don't care. Pay Me!". So hold onto your wallet if you ever stay there. Though located in a beautiful environment, Sun Mountain Lodge and its business practices are far from hospitable.

I had actually been here before about 10 years ago with my parents and also loved it then. But with a huge group of amazing friends and family it was over the top awesome. Overlooking Skaha lake and only 10 min to Penticton this place cannot be beat. It is a throwback to a simpler time. White-washed Greek villa style home with eclectic, randomly designed rooms. If you like consistency, wifi and satellite TV...please move on. This place is not for you. But, if you like to explore finding new things around every corner, enjoying the simple things in life like amazing food (the breakfasts are insanely good - i will venture to say the best breakfast buffet I have ever had!), strolls in the hills, wine and cheese in your own little corner with view, picking fresh fruit from trees (the most amazing yellow plums, apricots, pears etc), star gazing, late night hot tub and lounging by the pool... then please do not miss this place. I cannot wait to get back!!!

Absolutely would not recommend the Coast Oliver…read more We had inadvertently booked an accessible (handicapped room). Our fault. There were numerous issues we have with the Coast hotel. Shortly after we checked in a staff member opened our door. She apologized and said that she had not been told that the room was occupied. The bed was supposed to be a queen bed. It most definitely was not a queen. We have a queen bed and have slept in numerous queens, and this most definitely is not a queen. It is a very small double at best. The pillows were not comfortable and offered no support whatsoever. The room we had was right beside the fitness room and just down from the ice machine. There was no schedule for the fitness room so the noise from the room was continual, late at night and early in the morning. The soundproofing is very poor, and we could hear noise and footsteps from the other rooms. At breakfast many of the chairs were very wobbly. We went for breakfast at 10:00 and they were out of proper cutlery. All they had were wooden spoons, knives and forks. Breakfast was mediocre. On a 1 week trip this was our most expensive accommodation, and it was without any question the worse. It falls sort of a 3*. We definitely would not return
