This place is very organized and thorough. They mailed me a packet, detailing how to prepare for the procedure. They also texted me a few days before, reminding me what to do, and what time my appointment was. I appreciated all the tips for preparation and the do's and dont's. From start to finish, everything is well organized, efficient, and timely. Check in is easy and they even offered to give me information about a living will and medical directives, since I didn't have things like that in place. I've been meaning to do it and wasn't sure where to start and the packet of information was really helpful. They are very thorough explaining the procedure, anesthesia, risks, and all the paperwork you are signing. Cell phones are discouraged so I didn't take any photos, and I appreciated that devices were not allowed in the waiting room and entire facility. Masks are optional. Due to the anesthesia, you need someone to drive you and your driver must be on the premises at all times. Dr. Jacob is so nice! She saw me before the procedure and explained a lot and put me at ease. She spoke with me afterwards too, to go over results and follow up information. This was my first time with anesthesia and my anesthesiologist, Natalie, was very friendly and told me what to expect. She really put me at ease as well. I was put in a hospital bed and wheeled around to where I needed to go. Suzanne was fabulous, got me settled in, and went over my medical history and some forms. My clothes were kept in a bag, and they even had a special place to keep my glasses safe during the procedure. They hung up my mask too, to keep it clean. Marissa and Lisa were the two nurses in the room during my procedure and they introduced themselves right away and were wonderful. The procedure was easy. I don't remember anything. When I woke up, Shellie was waiting for me with water to drink and checking in to see how I was feeling. My mom was in the recovery room with me and that was very nice. (I was asked ahead of time if I wanted my family member with me in recovery and I said yes). It was nice to have my mom in there to listen to things too because I was still a bit out of it. I was in excellent hands here, from start to finish. It was a very positive experience and I highly recommend coming here.

I had medication-management appointments with two different practitioners at this clinic, and both…read moreexperiences were deeply disappointing. As a grieving mother seeking help after the death of my son, I was hoping for basic empathy and human connection. Instead, I encountered a striking lack of understanding and sensitivity. One practitioner suggested that I read a book about a Holocaust survivor turned psychotherapist. The same practitioner told me that I should try smiling at people when I go out in public. In the context of profound grief, these suggestions felt tone-deaf and inappropriate rather than supportive. What was most troubling was the overall lack of emotional attunement. I did not feel heard or understood, and the care felt impersonal and mechanical. People seeking medication management are often in vulnerable situations. Compassion and thoughtful communication matter just as much as clinical knowledge. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

My family's experience with this office has been overwhelmingly disappointing, and I feel compelled…read moreto warn others before they go through what we did. My son was a patient here for several years. Even from the beginning, I had concerns, specifically about one front office staff member whose behavior was consistently rude and unprofessional. My husband, however, spoke highly of Jacqulyn Terry, so we stayed despite my reservations. One early incident should have been our sign to leave. While trying to get my son's prescription filled, I was spoken to in a disrespectful tone, the conversation escalated without cause, and I was ultimately hung up on. When I drove to the office to address it face-to-face, everyone suddenly acted confused and pretended not to know what had happened. I gave the benefit of the doubt and allowed my husband's positive experience with Jackie to guide us. In hindsight, that was a mistake. Fast-forward to just two weeks ago: my son had an appointment, and Jackie was more than 15 minutes late. My husband called the office to let them know he was waiting but would soon have to leave for another obligation. Instead of acknowledging the delay, which was on their end, the staff member warned him that he needed to stay on the call, or he would be charged. He made it clear he would not pay for an appointment that they were late for. He was there on time. He did everything right. A few days later, we received a letter stating that we were being dropped as patients for "too many missed appointments". We have never missed an appointment. Not one. And the most shocking part? Jackie signed off on it. My husband was genuinely stunned because he believed they had built a rapport. I wasn't surprised -- but I was taken aback by the sheer lack of courtesy and professionalism. They didn't even offer one final refill of my son's medication to ensure a safe transition. No communication. No concern. Just a cold letter and a complete cut-off. We were left scrambling to clean up the mess they created, but thankfully, we were able to secure proper care elsewhere quickly. Still, the way this office interacts with a sensitive population is alarming. Patients deserve compassion, transparency, and basic respect. We received none of that. If you read the low reviews and choose to ignore them, you will learn exactly the way we did -- the hard way. In my opinion, this place operates with a level of disregard that is absolutely unacceptable. This place is trash. Steer clear.

Booking an appointment with any Dr. here is close to impossible. Recently I had an appointment that I was no longer able to make and needed to re-schedule it. There was NO availability with any of the doctor's in that department for the next three months, and they only get schedules three months at a time, so I was told I couldn't reschedule. It's ridiculous in my opinion because any time I need a follow up after an appointment, I am able to get an appointment the follow month with plenty of times to choose from. I went around and around on the phone trying to understand why the system is set up like that but kept getting reverted back to "that's just how it is and there are no appointments available". The cost here for routine appointments is really high with insurance too here, so maybe this is a blessing for me to take my business elsewhere. Other places I'm not nickled and dimed for just sitting in the waiting room. This location needs to step it up and either 1. high more Dr.'s for the different department or 2. Stop accepting new patients for a while because it's clogging the system for pre-existing people that have emergencies pop up and need appointments or re-schedules.

Booking is easy through MyChart, the doctors are fabulous (Dr. Tumbarella is AMAZING), and I couldn't be happier with the care I am receiving. I know that health care is personal and the degree to which we are satisfied depends on our response to care (a kind way of saying some people aren't happy no matter what), but I've never gotten less than 100% from every member of the Henry Ford Troy team. Highly Recommended.
