Maple Sushi is a solid AYCE spot with an impressively comprehensive menu--even during lunch. We came in right after a Tabata workout, and it absolutely hit the spot. One highlight was the variety of torched oshizushi options, which added a nice premium touch to the usual AYCE lineup. We also really enjoyed the grilled/teppanyaki items, along with the salads (avocado, imitation crab, and seaweed all delivered). But the real standout? The desserts. The mango sago pomelo and soft serve ice cream were easily the stars of the meal--definitely LEAVE SOME ROOM for them!! Dropped by during my recent Toronto trip with some family members - and had some All you can eat in the late afternoon - so that worked out to be there dinner menu - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Space is quite large but tables are spread out nicely - so no issues with noise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Space looked clean for the most part.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick - however with most all you can eat places, the amount you order , almost never arrives correctly - some things we had to re-order as they never showed up the first time. Fish was pretty fresh - but not on par with Vancouver's level - but price here seems very reasonable. This place is an AYCE haven for shrimp and chicken lovers. The ingredients are fresh, and I particularly enjoyed the variety of preparations they offer for both shrimp and chicken. They can be served as Sashimi, in Salads, Teriyaki-style, Grilled, Tempura, Katsu, Curry, and more. Their sashimi was fresh, and the shrimp dishes were great. I didn't try much of the sushi, but it looks like they offer a wide variety. Overall, I like this place for its fresh ingredients and excellent shrimp options. We came here on a Thursday night, around 7:45 and to our surprise, all the tables were full. We waited a few minutes and one of the staff welcomed us and told us it would be about 5-10 minutes wait time. So, we decided to wait outside, in the plaza. When we came back to the sushi place, our table was ready. The staff were friendly and they really cared about the customers, unlike many other sushi restaurants. The sashimi and rolls were fresh. I was passing through the area and wanted to try a new sushi spot, so I stopped by Maple Sushi to pick up a party tray. It was very well-priced, and I liked how we could customize the specific rolls we wanted. While there was less selection for regular maki (e.g., no plain salmon/tuna rolls, fish/avocado rolls), they had more unique options to choose from from their speciality rolls. Do note that the quality of the raw fish is alright. Maple sushi offers AYCE (which I didn't realize before I came), and usually the quality of raw fish at AYCE sushi places isn't comparable to a la carte restaurants. Nevertheless, the value for what we got was great, so I'd be willing to come back if I were in the area and wanting some decent, cheap sushi. read more

**REVIEW BASED ON UBEREATS ORDER** My co-worker has recommended me to this sushi place for the longest time, as it was her all-time go-to sushi place to order on UberEats. So I caved and was curious to see what got her hooked. First thing first, if you have any allergies or those who tends to put in the special request on their UberEats, you can skip this place. THEY DON'T HAVE ANYWHERE FOR YOU TO PUT IN YOUR REQUEST! How did I know? Because I can't ask them to not put cucumber in my rolls. So I had to look through the whole menu with extra attention to see which ones I could order that they didn't list cucumber as one of their ingredients. They have quite a few combos which was awesome! A lot of the combos or even party trays allowed you to customize, as in PICK WHAT ROLLS YOU WANT IN YOUR TRAY (LOVEEEEE THIS OPTION!!!!). I picked the 1 regular roll (spicy tuna) & 1 spec. roll (angry dragon) for my order. Holy mackerel, the rolls were cut fairly large (as wide as 2 of my fingers... yes I measured, ok?) But they were fully packed with ingredients rather than rice, which was amazing to all sushi lovers. Though they were big, you wouldn't have a bad after feeling, but rather, it was a good "I am stuffed". I really enjoyed the rolls I picked, especially the angry dragon. The mango sauce drizzled on top gave you a nice tangy taste that surprisingly compliment really well with the tuna and salmon. Each bite was pleasurable and made me want to keep going!! One of my favourite AYCE sushi spots in Vaughan. Although they don't have many options in terms of fish, compared to other AYCE spots, I would say this location has the best salmon - such thick and buttery slices! First of all, our group of 7 walked into the restaurant and they wouldn't let us all come in. They would only let 2 people in to order. Anyways, we all just went in and sat down. We ordered our boba and the customer service was not good. The staff were very rude and un-friendly. We ordered 6 drinks. It took them 15 minutes for 2 drinks, then another 15 minutes for the other 4 drinks. After we all got our drinks after 30 minutes of waiting, they told us to leave! This seemed unfair, because the whole shop was empty! Was it because we were young kids, or some of us were wearing hijab? Another couple was enjoying their drinks and sitting down, and they weren't told to leave. We weren't being loud or disruptive in any way. Also, the drinks themselves weren't even that good. In the brown sugar milk tea, they were big chunks of what looked like jelly? They weren't cut up, they were just plopped in the drink. All the drinks together were around $30 so I would assume better quality for that price. As we were walking back to our house, the bag holding one of our drinks gave out and ripped. The milk tea exploded and was wasted. We didn't touch the bag at all, so we don't think it was our fault it ripped. Overall, a 2/10 experience. Staff weren't nice, drinks weren't that good and we got kicked out for no reason. So, would I come back? Maybe for the sushi, but ABSOLUTELY NOT for the boba. read more

Maple Sushi is now my go-to spot for sushi in the Maple area. The restaurant is conveniently located near St David's and there are tons of parking in the parking lot. The interior is nicely decorated and I'm almost always able to get a seat. The servers generally seat patrons in the booths on the sides. I've never seen anyone sit in the middle tables. Patrons order on iPads. It's super-convenient and unlike other places, I always get what I ordered (i.e. they never forget an item). I like that unlimited drinks are included, including tea, soda, etc. The sushi is fresh, looks great, and tastes great. The shrimp tempura is always tasty. I really like their imitation crab meat tempura. Sashimi is served for dinner and is served in bowls of ice. Overall, the quality of food for the price at Maple Sushi is unbeatable. Reason for Visit: Needed some take out sushi in the Vaughan area. Menu: The prices are insane for this place. I wish I took some pictures, but I was too hungry. Just look at other Yelpers' pictures if you need anything. First thing to mention, this is the only sushi place I ever been to that for some reason the fish to rice ratio is so off the charts the opposite way. Usually, a place has too much rice, but this place is the complete opposite. The rolls here is like 90% fish, it is crazy. The value at this place for take out is unbelievable. Even their sashimi dinner, it comes with a free complimentary bowl of sushi rice (not even listed). If this place is more well known in like Richmond Hill or Markham or something, I am sure they would be swarming in business and give Ai Sushi a run for their money. There weren't that many people when we came in the afternoon (weekday). Ordering from the iPad, the food came relatively fast. Also, they had a broad variety of foods to choose from, including ramen and soups which is the standard. My company and I ended up ordering too much and had to deal with the consequences but it was worth it. The walnut shrimp was a hit and I still remember the taste yumm. When I got home the 9 piece sashami was NOT 9 pieces but only 6 because 3 of the pieces were crab meat! That is not sashami! They treated me like a fool and I was a fool to go there. Wasn't expecting much walking into a sushi place in Maple, however; this place served up some of the biggest sushi rolls I have ever had at an AYCE sushi joint. They were massive. As soon as we arrived we were promptly seated and noticed that the AC in this place must be free, because it was a friggin fridge. Bring a sweater ladies, you'll be cold within 3 minutes of sitting down. Onto the food, yes they do have an iPad ordering system. However, their wasn't much options in the rolls department. I counted around 10, but there's other categories (signature rolls, apps) that will keep you from starving. The waiters here were the worst part of the evening. They don't speak, they don't blink.. You'd think they're robots but even they can interact with human life. Also, the green tea pot isn't placed on the table as I've become accustomed to, so we had to wait for refills, which also sucked. Anyways.. Decor was okay, place was clean.. Food came out fairly quickly and the sushi rolls were honestly huge. The "out of control" sushi roll is an absolute must try. It was amazing. 3/5 for me. Maple Sushi is priced at 13.99 for lunch and 21.99 for dinner (Monday - Thursday) for adults. Pretty regular for an AYCE restaurant, but it's definitely got much more to it than most places I've been to. It's actually located where Sakura Sushi used to be with new owners, employees, and menus. I think it is 100% better than what it used to be. There is a greater selection to choose from, the rolls are done very nicely, and the sashimi tastes fresh! I love it here, and this is coming from someone who lives in the area and has pretty much been to every sushi restaurant in Maple. Out of Control rolls are definitely one of the unique items that you need to try! I also enjoy the BBQ Pork Ramen. Everything else is pretty tasty too. I don't really have any complaints about the food. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone who's in the area and looking for a decent AYCE sushi restaurant. The service is great, although at times a bit slow. But hey, comparing it to most places I've been to in Maple, it always has a lot of tables filled up so it's understandable why it may be a bit slower. Nonetheless, still one of my favourite places! Just do what they need in the faster way, not looking to serve you better. The quality of most of the food is good, I really liked, just the fish that I found its not fresh. Previously known as Sakura Sushi, Maple Sushi has stepped up their game with new management, new ordering system and new menu items. Although I was a fan of Sakura to the bitter end, I do have to say they were in need of a pick me up. Maple Sushi kept the same great interior décor and gave their servers and menu a face lift (not literally). I really like that the new take out menu has better options for lunch specials while keeping the same amazing price. You can get any one roll + 9 sashimi pieces, soup & salad for $10! That's less than a buck per sashimi piece! I've dined here recently and enjoyed the iPad experience. The service was prompt and friendly and the food tasted great. Just be warned they love to use their sauce and the prices increase for Friday and weekend dining. For take out on two separate occasions, I've ordered the salmon sashimi and spicy crunchy salmon roll, and again salmon sashimi and Alaska roll. The Alaska roll is salmon & avocado. Both times the price came out to a little under $9 with tax included. I knew ordering the spicy crunchy salmon roll for take out would be a mistake because it's nearly impossible to get home without it being saugy so I asked for that one. But the Alaska roll is good and the sashimi sizes are fairly meaty. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't customize a roll (salmon, avocado and cucumber) but I got over it.
