As a bento box enjoyer, sushi legend is a great place for lunch specials as each box is priced at $15-16. I got the short ribs box which comes with the ribs, 2p tempura, 6p sushi and rice. It also comes with a miso soup, salad and ice cream on the side. Most places these days offer less for more, but I still think the ice cream to end off lunch is what puts this place just a bit above other restaurants. Parking can be quite hectic in this plaza so be prepared to park on the side streets.

After 15yrs, still one of best Chinese Sushi buffets w grill bbq rice, noodles, desert tiny restaurant that is busy Every HOUR OF DAY! 11am to 9pm! Prob only sushi buffet better than them is Dragon Legend pirate themed giant wood chair resto- banquet hall style. But for price of $35+ tax + tip ALL U CAN EAT in north york, not bad value. And if they r busy, can go next door to congee Wong for best canton Chinese food if you don't want to wait in hour lineup?! And grocery store has biggest freshest seafood market in all toronto in plaza!

I've only had the bento boxes here and haven't tried AYCE. We usually get chicken teriyaki or beef short ribs. It comes with soup, salad, and a scoop of ice cream. The portion is pretty generous, at $15 or $16. The service is quick, and we never wait long if we need something. Parking right outside the restaurant may be hard to come by during regular dining hours, so you'll likely have to look just a bit further in the parking lot for a spot to park. The plaza does get busy since many of the businesses are restaurants.

Very busy on Sunday night. Food is good for all you can eat. Both raw fish and cooked dish is doing good. As I can place my order in a tablet, server provides the food. First round is fast for sashimi. Cooked food takes a bit of time . No lost order. By the way, the only order need to place to the server is pop. It's a family restaurant and a lot of families are in this restaurant for Sunday night It's casual and good for small group to enjoy.

Sushi AYCE | LLBO | No small table reservations | In-person wait list machine| VIP card or cash discount| EV Parking nearby| Congee Queen sister company One of my top choices for AYCE sushi. Lots of weekend specials. Some things that stand out to me is the herring sashimi and grilled shrimp skewers on weekday basis. Weekends there are more varieties such as scallop sashimi and steamed vermicelli scallops. Good service, always busy, always expect a wait. High ceiling and clean environment.

The first sign this place would be good was how busy it was Saturday night. Me and my bf went a little early for dinner so luckily we managed to escape a lineup. Even though it was so full my boyfriend remarked it was well managed because we weren't waiting long for our food. How it works for all you can eat is you scan the QR code on the receipt and order on the website. It's very easy and convenient, just dont forget to hit the final send button. I got a whole variety, including quail, which is not normally found at sushi places. I'm not a fan of Yuzu though, so it dinged the review for me that a couple of dishes I wanted like torched salmon sashimi and beef tataki were absolutely drenched in it. Soda is included in the price, but I recommend skipping it for the food. Quality is definitely there, I loved the scallop and sweet shrimp. The dessert menu is quite large and I appreciate how they're served in small shot glasses so you can try everything. I ended up getting 9 desserts. Good to know: you get 10% off for paying in cash.

Came for dinner AYCE. It's average. Nothing really stood out. Chicken wings were very disappointing. I don't really know what they were doing with it like they snapped it in half and then skewered it? Maybe it makes it easier to eat or something I don't know. Sashimi didn't feel that fresh? I don't know how to explain it. Texture didn't look as nice. They had torched sushi, but it was mostly rice. Very thin layer of fish on top. Comes out to $41 per person after tax. Just go to ichiban ayce at north york centre you'll have a much better time.

This venue is usually an ayce joint. We ordered take out this time : sushi platter. The 80 pieces platter consistent of a variety of different sashimi, sushi and rolls. Quality is above average for ayce grade. The 80 piece set was ordered on Ubereats at 66$ before taxes and applicable fees. Sashimi included: mackerel, salmon, and tuna It was nice that this set included mackerels, as it's not a common item.

This is a very standard ayce place with an iPad ordering system. Compared to other places, there seem to be very limited items on the menu, and nothing was special or stood out. I do appreciate that they have scallop sashimi for dinner as I don't see this often, and it tasted quite fresh. My goal was to eat as much sashimi as possible and then eat other items that interest me. The salmon sashimi was quite fresh, and they were thick slices. However, other than the sashimi, everything was very mediocre, or it just didn't taste good. The takoyaki was probably one of the worst dishes I've tried at an ayce as parts of it were so chewy that I couldn't eat it at all. Even the shrimp tempura was pretty bland. Our iPad was also giving us such a hard time as it would lag with every click so it would take us a while to just submit an order. We also were missing items or received items that we didn't order. After experiencing this at other ayce, I just learned to let these go as it takes too long to look through all the items and clarify with the servers which ones came out and which ones didn't. Overall, I'd suggest to skip this place and look for another place for ayce.

I loved sushi a lot. Been here all the time. But this time I was disappointment. Yelp app have this deal offer "1 free glass of welcome mocktail." I show it to the staff and he said their restaurant is not associated with yelp and they don't give those offers. They don't know anything about it. So why did yelp give these deals and the restaurant won't acknowledge or knows about it? And while looking at their menu, I did not see any mocktail drinks?

Personally, I felt like many of the dishes were elevated or fancier versions of Asian classics. The crab truffle chawanmushi was super creamy, with crab meat on top and truffle flavors. For $40...ya idk it wasn't anything crazy and I would have loved it with a bowl of rice (maybe that's me being too Chinese lol). But also I've seen other review of the chawanmushi and it seems like every time, the amount of crab on it is different. Mine didn't seem to have as much compared to the other pictures I have seen which just tell me that they have inconsistencies. It just felt like a lot to just be eating on its own. The mala cream udon was really tasty, I loved the creaminess, cheesiness, and the addition of Chinese pork and spices but it also felt like something that could be make at home. The tuna tataki came with only three pieces for $22, which felt quite small for the price. The flavors were good, but the portion was underwhelming. My favorite was probably the Basque cheesecake it had a rich, creamy texture with a slight hint of saltiness. The Korean fried chicken sliders were also great, the crispy chicken with a well-balanced sauce. For drinks, we got the Zazatar and Golden Pear, and both were really good. The Zazatar, in particular, was quite strong which I liked. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite feel worth the price. For this style of food, I think you could find similar options and flavors at a more reasonable price point elsewhere in Markham. Nothing of the dishes like blow me away which is why I'm saying this. The staff were very kind and attentive, which I appreciated. However, the timing of the dishes was a bit off. We received and finished the tuna, then the sliders came out, followed by the udon. Finished that and then we waited about 15-20 minutes before my main (the chawanmushi) arrived, which by that point my partner had already long finished eating. I understand that chawanmushi takes longer to prepare since it's steamed, but a heads-up or better coordination with the rest of the dishes would have been nice. Like severing the appetizers at the same time and serving the mains at the same time. Instead of having the dishes come out one by one and such a long wait between the mains. The space itself is beautiful, with an upscale vibe, great for catching up I don't regret trying it, but it's probably not somewhere I'd return to.

Rarely, would you find a place that can pull off being a brunch/lunch place during the mornings and afternoons and a club and lounge by night. On a Saturday morning where I was looking for a place to grab a bite and to kill a bit of time, I realized through Yelp that Sugar Cafe Lounge is actually open by 10am. I didn't even know they open in the mornings prior to this. The vibe of this place strikes me as a modernized Chinese karaoke place. It totally reminds me of the karaoke places that I used to frequent back in the day. They have the same black and neon purple/pink colour scheme. Dice shakers were readily available and visible. The modernisation portion can be attributed to the existence of a photo booth and kildult style cartoon characters wall stickers along the walls/window. And for a "club/lounge", the servers were definitely very polite and attentive which is a stark contrast to the service that you may come to expect in early 2000s karaoke places. My feeling towards the curry katsu egg Benedict is equally complicated. I think the dish has so much potential, but currently has several flaws. Let's start on a positive note. The hollandise sauce was a fit with the curry flavour. The built in acidity also worked to tone down the sauce's heaviness. But even with the acidity, it was a pretty heavy sauce. I like the taste of the sauce, but it's just too too heavy. The egg whites for the Benedict was a bit over cooked and getting on the rubbery side, yet the yolk remained runny. Which I found odd. The katsu pork is a bit on the smallish side and the batter did not seem like the Japanese panko style batter (seemed a bit closer to HK style). The pork was under seasoned, so the taste was hugely reliant on the sauce. They clearly used some form of milk bread for the dish. It's a decently thick slice, and it didn't seem like your typical wonder bread, but the bread also added to the heaviness of the entire dish. I have no clue how the vibe is at night or how busy it gets, but my feeling towards this place is a little bit complicated.
