Marble and Granite Connection came recommended. The technician didn't speak a lot of English and the helper spoke no English. They were replacing a sink. They never tarped or covered anything in my kitchen or anywhere! They drilled out my old sink to install an over mount sink. What mess they made, hours of cleaning up dust everywhere! Then I couldn't open one of my cabinets door! The scratched my wall and door carrying out the old sink. Very disappointed!!! read more

complete crooks, tried to tell the owner to add half an inch to the top right side, and wouldn't, kept telling me to trust him and his experience, and sure enough, it didn't fit. Dropped a piece of old counter and damaged the tile floor and refused to fix it after denying they did it. They then hurried and charged my credit card without my permission, which is illegal in Florida (statutes 817.481 and 817.61) and punishable by 3 years in prison and a fine. I have since filed charges with several state agencies and am going to file with the Pompano Police. They also screwed something up in my neighbor's house months ago and have never returned to repair it. I gave them 4 jobs in my building and had a couple more but that will never happen. If you hire these people, you're gonna get what you deserve and that is arrogant and crooked ownership and sketchy workmanship and no response when looking to get it repaired. I am going on every social media site I can find and warn people about this shameless company. read more

My installers were so polite and hard working, very skilled and respectful of my property. They were great! Very disappointed in this company. Had used them previously 4 times so it certainly was upsetting in the terrible customer service we received this time. Very unprofessional. Prices have went up everywhere so that wasn't a problem. The fact we've been using for years and given quote to pay almost 3times more than I paid almost a year ago for a qtr of counter was. What a shame. Carol said shed speak with Luciana to get discount. Never did. I called and left message and Luciana called to tell me she would take $75 off. Any bit helps, I was happy. Then all of sudden she pushed job over 2 weeks out and would install Tuesday June 3. I took off work, and called at 930 am to see if there was time frame. Was told they would be there 10-12. At 2pm I called because NO SHOW, got a chuckle from Carole that job was scheduled for Wednesday and they weren't coming. I asked to speak with Luciana and Carol laughed yelling at Luciana that I wanted to speak with her and she could tell me same thing. REALLY???? Luciana got on phone and matter of fact said things happen and they weren't coming and asked if I wanted them to come today. Well I really didnt have a choice!!!! Took off another day since they had my brand new sink and faucet I had paid for plus the deposit!!! They showed up and then charged my card for balance and only gave me a $60 credit instead of $75. Won't return texts or phone call. This is just unreal that they turned into unreliable and unscrupulous company after Ive given them so many jobs. Ive referred so many people to them. NEVER AGAIN. To follow up to the "manager's" reply....the inital scheduling was on a Monday (NOT a Saturday as later communicated was the only option). YOUR office scheduled it for a Monday so then to state that it is only done on Saturdays is either poor training on your part or disingenuous. Either way, I did not omit anything relevant from my review. Your staff was rude and wasted my time when no one showed. You refuse to take accountability. I expressed this and my willingness to voice this issue via all channels available to me (including, but not limited to, this review). Every inaccurate reply to my review will be met with an accurate depiction of what transpired. Since I never spoke with you, it seems as if you should speak with your employees before replying to a complaint. My review is 100% accurate. I am an attorney and a luxury realtor so I am quite careful to document my encounters with subpar contractors. It is a shame that you could not simply either 1) call and apologize for your mistake, and/or 2) leave an accurate review alone. I will continuously correct your erroneous statements. read more

We are repeat customers to Marble and Granite Connection. We were very pleased with our recent countertop installation. However, we also ordered tile for our backsplash from them. We opened the boxes and inspected the tile and was shocked with what we say as the tiles clear coat appeared to have dirt in it versus the sample that was provided to us when we purchased the tile. We returned the tile as this was not what we purchased, but were charged a $25/box restocking fee for a total of $75. Huge disappointment as they took zero accountability in rectifying the situation as this is a bait and switch sales approach. I would not recommend paying for anything until it is 100% inspected. They lost a repeat customer for good and would never recommend them to friends or family. read more

I am absolutely shocked how I was treated by this company in particular Luciana the owner of this company. I knew from the first phone call what type of person Luciana was. These people are very condescending as to avoid taking any responsibility for what they have done. In general they think they are better than you. They minimize their part in the problem having no interest in the solution. They loudly speak over you. They deflect they did anything wrong. They lie. She brags about how great she is by responding to all of my complaints and sending people back to me. I am sorry. I don't care about your time. You are wasting my time. This should have been perfect the first time. How many times to you want people to return to your house to fix mistakes made during original install?!? I told my sales person Sirlene I did not want to speak with her again. I I was not subtle about the reasons. The problem began with poor quality control. They delivered a piece of my beautiful granite with quite an obvious gouge on the side of it. You, Sirlene and your co workers all attempted to convince me I did not understand granite. What insult! Next your head installer drilled the soap dispenser a standard hole size without checking my soap dispenser size. This hole was your standard size hole for your hardware not for my soap dispenser which is part if a beautiful matching set. The clue there should have been I did not order your hardware! Your installer should have thought first before cutting this hole. My soap dispenser is beautiful. Yours is generic! Yet never an apology from you. Only excuses. ****This mornings addition....I went to fill up the soap the dispenser for the first time. May I remind you this is their dispenser I was forced to use because of there mistake. Well now that dispenser is loose and is falling out of the hole. Now I can not use it. You have RUINED this part of my granite! I have no doubt Luciana would blame me. "Why didn't I try the dispenser out while the men were there? I don't know. Would you have tried it out? Your installer left in the middle of the job to go to another job. He left with a very nice gentleman who did not speak a word of English nor did he do a thing. Hum, maybe this is why the install turned out so bad. He was left there to wait for your assistant to bring the new dispenser. Next time when you send your assistant to a customer's home you should them inform them b4 he arrives " not to listen to your assistant. He has no opinion". (Nice way to talk about your assistant). This would have been important. Your assistant was insistent my complaints were not valid. I was wrong about the roughness of on the granite, the raised seams, etc. All answered by him, "No I don't understand granite. Though his opinion did not count he also tried to convince me there was nothing wrong with the gouge in my granite. Is this in your training book? Second call back was necessary to repair the damaged stone and buff the granite and seams. The third call back was because of what I was told on the second visit was incorrect. The sides between the pass thru DID need to be filled in. IN THE MEAN TIME HE WAS ABLE TO IMPROVE THE SEAM. If it was able to be improved than it needed to be approved!!!! The forth call back I will not get because I am horrible person. They never installed the piece of granite which had the gouge on it. Can you imagine? My fault. Why didn't I check before they left. Yes, she said I should have lifted the granite from the cabinet to see if it was installed? OMG!! They are not BBB accredited. Don't be fooled be the A+ rating. Non accredited companies have no information w BBB so they begin with A+ until they know otherwise. I opened up the first complaint. They do not have to respond to this complaint. I doubt she will. She would have to admit she might have some responsibility in this situation and I am not just a horrible person making too much out of nothing. I am disgusted every time I look at my granite kitchen top. What a waste of $5000. Check other places. I did not shop around. I have since been shopping for other product. There are good places all around at better prices. Do your due diligence. If it happened to me it could happen to you. Thank you. read more

The only positive thing I can say is the installation went well, but it was a constant fight with scheduling & rescheduling, and purchasing the granite we actually wanted instead of getting talked into another more expensive granite. What a wonderful, caring company to work with! After having a nightmare of a contractor leave us with a horrible Cambria counter top, we researched and found Marble and Granite Connection. I'm so glad that we did! From the moment we walked in, we were treated with respect and care. We explained our situation and Andre made sure that we were communicated with every step of the way as we replaced the nightmare. I L O V E communication - I can work with anything that comes up if I'm informed and the company works with me. Marble and Granite alerted me that during their checks, they found that two slabs from Cambria didn't look exactly the same. Could I please come over and confirm their opinion. I could only come over at 7am before work and the owner happily met me that early to make sure we get it right. I loved the concern! Yep, the second slab was not going to match the first. That's when Marble and Granite went to bat for me. They fought with Cambria to make sure that I received a free replacement slab that matched the good slab. Took some time to get the new slab but when it arrived, I again was invited down to make sure I was happy with the replacement. Such wonderful service! It was a match and they proceeded to fabricate. I couldn't be home to install when they would be ready and the next weekend would be the Labor Day weekend. Didn't matter to Andre and Marble and Granite. They just wanted to make sure that I was happy with their work and the results! So here I sit, looking at my new counter top. The guys who removed the old and installed the new were professional, funny, on time and called before they left for my house and couldn't have been nicer to work with. No fuss, no muss and everything done to perfection. Cleanup was meticulous with a double check to make sure nothing was left behind. I highly recommend anyone needing marble, granite or quartz fabrication/installation/design to give Marble and Granite Connection a try. You will not be sorry you did! Do yourself and your kitchen a favor and avoid this company like the plaque ! My first clue was adding on costs after the owner came out to measure for the counter. He didn't ask about the backsplash, so a price was given for that but what wasn't added in was mittered seems. That should had been included in the backsplash price. They go hand and hand. A new sink was suggested after the fourth meeting , that was possibly the fifth ad on price. It turned out to be a great idea but no one measured the two drawers in front of the sink, consequently I lost two drawers because their workers never measured ! The sink had plenty of room to be closer to the wall. Installing the new facet created cracks in my granite. A crack that you can take your finger nail and feel the depth of the crack and it went all the way through the granite. The insulation man did not glue underneath the brackets at the kitchen bar. Outside, wood was used to level the extended bar and no glue. What does wood outside do but rot !! The seems are easily seen. !!! This goes on and on ! If these people did this much damage installing, why would I want them back to do permeate damage. I hired another contractor to try to fix this damage. The owners did not care. I would like the public to stay clear of this company. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company whose rudeness is unsurpassed. I recently ordered five thousand dollars worth of quartz countertops for my newly renovated kitchen. When the countertops were installed, I noticed the wavy edges instead of precisely cut straight ones. When brought to the attention of the owner, he said he saw no flaw. My cabinetmaker and designer both saw the wavy edges, which brought the owner to admit that they were cut by hand instead of on the laser. After weeks of delay, the owner consented to re-cut the tops in question. This held up the completion of my job for 4 weeks. During this time the owner was extremely rude and obnoxious. Please take this review into account when thinking of doing business with this company. read more

This company is horrible. Their guys tore out my old backsplash leaving large holes. At that point they should have just told me that I needed to hire someone to do drywall.(Since their contract says they don't do that.) Instead their guys proceeded 2 mud 2in thick that would have never dried. Their plans were to put the new backsplash on top of that mud. Also when they tore out the old backsplash, there was a junction box right above the sink with live electrical wires inside that previous owners had just covered up with tile. Their worker's suggestion was to just cover it back up again with the new backsplash. (It is it illegal to do that because you always have to have access to a junction box. If you cover up a junction box with tile and you have a fire from those live wires, your homeowners insurance will not cover it.) There also was another hole the size of your fist. I asked the guy what he was going to do about that one. He said he would just cover it with the tile. They also installed my new large 10 inch deep stainless steel sink when they installed the new countertops. They did not use the suggested number of support brackets that it calls for. (They did my son's sink and because of the weight of an undermount sink the epoxy already has started to separate and has a hole in it because the sink was not supported properly. Unfortunately we did not know this when we hired this company.) I asked for the owner, Izone, to come out to my house. He said that anytime someone wants a junction box covered up, they don't ask questions, they just do it. These owners only wanted to make excuses and argue with me. I immediately put a halt on the job, paid them every penny I owed them and then hired another company to fix their mistakes which cost me a lot more money. This company was superb, knowledgeable and very professional. We had an outdated kitchen with old formica countertop and a full-wall backsplash all the way up to cabinets with cemented-in stone tile. However, our cabinets were in great shape. We purchased thick granite, a sink and accessories from Marble & Granite Connection Inc. (M&GC), working closely together to best match our existing cabinets and needs. We expected that the removal of the old backsplash and countertop would somehow damage the cabinets, but were willing to take the chance. We were so wrong. The removal of old and installation of new was excellent - no damage whatsoever. We had to do some drywall patching and painting afterwards, which was no big deal. We even had our countertop extended out into the main living area, and are now enjoy gathering, socializing and eating on new barstools. What a fantastic difference!
